These are a couple of the popular menu items I explored: The Godfather: This sandwich was packed with thinly sliced roast beef and smothered in hot gravy and melted mozzarella cheese. It may appear small in size, but it was very filling. The appearance of the left sandwich looks off due to the gravy oozing out of the hero. Do not let that deceive you because this sandwich is phenomenal! French Fries: These fries practically eat like a meal. They are piled high and deep inside a Chinese container box. The serving quantity was more than plentiful. The crinkle cuts are generously sprinkled with Ted's North secret signature seasoning. They are so tasty you won't need any dipping sauces to supplement the frites. I enjoy the seasoning so much that I wish I could purchase it separately, but it's not for sale. I asked for extra chicken on my hero and was charged for such: there was one cutlet on the hero. A single cutlet. What can I say, COVID has made me a take out sandwich connoisseur. And this is the blue ribbon winner, hands down. I've had The Godfather which was spectacular! I'm a guy that truly believes you can seriously screw up a sandwich by having too much bread or too much meat. You need a balance. The bread, meat, cheese, gravy balance was perfect. Sometimes too much gravy can make a sloppy soppy sub. Not the case here. I've also had the Gobbler. Honestly, you don't know how much you miss holiday food until it's May and you get a turkey and stuffing and gravy sandwich. This thing is just straight up a beast of a sandwich. One of the best I've ever had. Finally, I recently had the disco chicken. I can take this one or leave it. It's good but the starchiness of the fries kind of dried this one out. Ted's North is a Paramus STAPLE!! Their quick service, delicious sandwiches, and easy sides are tough to beat. There can be a wait if you go during a rush hour, but they have a good system going. I typically order the American Chicken on a roll - and you cannot forget to order the seasoned fries. I do have a problem with their logo, which you'll find on the back of the staff's t-shirts. The character shown fits a stereotypical depiction of a black man that is reminiscent cartoonish blackface. Their staff is always quite friendly, and I give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't mean any offense, but I do hope they see this and reconsider updating their logo / t-shirts. read more

So many fond delicious memories of Ted's from years ago, not sure what's changed but this was a rough lunch. Full disclosure this was ordered through DoorDash. The fries used to be seasoned delightfully but today not only were they soggy, had a sort of stale flavor and were SO salty they were honestly inedible. American chicken, there definitely used to be bacon on here...no bacon and just overall kind of messy now, bland really underwhelming. The Godfather...would be excommunicated for this. Garlic bread, no flavor. The gravy was sort of a very dark congealed situation which was visually not a hit and didn't really taste like anything either, mozzarella may have visited the sandwich but it certainly wasn't present like in years passed. Truth be told, I have been to Teds Deli numerous times throughout my lifetime. In high school, this would be the hot spot to get lunch. Teds has some great options in regards to sandwiches, breakfast bagels and wraps, all priced somewhat fairly. Service is always friendly and quick. I've tried a variety of their sandwiches and must say the American Chicken Cutlet is my most favorite. I visited recently though and ended up ordering a Chipotle Chicken Sandwich as I did not want something heavy at the time. If you eat the American you're basically full for the rest of the day. I don't know if it's changed amongst the years but my sandwich was pretty subpar. I understand there is nothing special about my order but you could tell the grilled chicken was pre made because it was tough to chew. To add, the chicken on my sandwich was not enough for the thickness of the bread. I feel like I got ripped off. read more
