The trailer was level and undamaged when it arrived at the storage yard. The cost of a fifth-wheel haul was more expensive, but it was communicated before any work was done. The AAA rep came within 15 minutes to jump it. Wow! That was fast. I may have even glimpsed a cape flapping behind him. He determined my battery would not rise from the dead. So after a brief, unemotional memorial service, the rep pulled a shiny new battery from his van. The trumpets heralded, and he quickly installed the new battery. My cost? $10. Apparently, car batteries in Florida often experience premature and untimely deaths (is there ever a timely death for a car battery?). Since AAA had installed my last battery only 2.5 years ago, it was still under some sort of warranty and the replacement cost was minimal. More trumpets, please! AAA doesn't always arrive this fast, nor is the outcome always this satisfying, but I'll stick with them knowing that the alternative of dealing with car issues on my own can be much worse.
