We stopped into the dispensing company due to how many great reviews they had online! It's right downtown and was walkable from our airbnb. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside looks rustic and cute, the interior is a little lack luster, dim lighting, lively crowd, that bar smell.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ur server was great, she checked up on us and made good recommendations. Unfortunately our crab dip had massive chunks of onion in it, it tasted like straight crunchy onion. My fettuccini Alfredo was pretty tasty, until I fished a 1 inch long black hair out of a bite. Ruined my appetite sadly. My boyfriend got the chicken tacos, he hates tomatoes and specifically asked for no tomatoes and the tacos come out with lots of tomato chunks in the chicken. That's fine I understand restaurants will marinate the chicken in tomatoes/sauce but I wish the waitress would have told us that because he did not eat them and did not let me/want to complain. We left pretty hungry and ended up eating elsewhere. Drinks were nothing special. I've heard this place is good by many people, so maybe we caught them on an off day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the way out we had to weave through a particularly rowdy drunk crowd of people who were yelling loudly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Personally I won't be back.

In the Summer of 2024, 6 of us headed to Lancaster for the day. We needed to grab a bite to eat after walking around downtown. The Lancaster Dispensing Company was the perfect spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon walking in we were seated immediately. Bonus it was a booth. Things were comfortable, it was nice and bright inside. It gave off bar vibes with a little bit of class.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was ok. Something were better than the other. The chicken sandwich we order just did not hit home for us. It was not appealing at all. The sides were pretty good. The macaroni salad was delicious. Things were just a hit or miss with the food. Our waitress was pretty good. She was attentive for the most part. Overall I would go back, but stick to safe things for food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We liked this spot! No frills down a back alley on a rainy Sunday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were so glad we were able to grab a large table for the 5 of us[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The server couldn't have been nicer! We shared nachos and waffle fries. Some of my friends got chili, quesadilla and I tried ham/swiss on croissant with macaroni salad. I liked it! Conveniently located across from central market (which sadly by the time we arrived 1:30pm was disappointing) but this spot was great. Thank you for a good meal!

Our go to when we come to Lancaster city. Great customer service. Lots of choices. Food great. This time we had Belgian croissant with tuna and melted cheese, cheese burger with steak fries and blackened cat fish sandwich with a cup of crab and corn chowder.

This is shrimp Alfredo and it was wonderful

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant is beautiful with a long bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Heidi, our server was wonderful. She kept our drinks full and the food was delicious. The restaurant was established in 1978. I highly recommend coming into the Lancaster dispensary.

Pro tip: This is a very compact venue. I personally was here as a party of two and felt the larger groups picked a tough venue as available space is limited. A group of 10 came during our meal and I found it very disruptive and crowded once they did. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly, despite being noticeably busy for a late Friday afternoon. For an appetizer, I can never pass up the temptation of a crab dip so we ordered that. After inhaling what was really phenomenal crab dip, we were excited for our food. My daughter ordered a burrito and I picked the club sandwich with fries. The food was delicious, well priced and very fair portions! I took half of my sandwich as leftovers, and ate it later that night - still delicious! If you're looking for a true local spot with fair pricing, delicious food, and friendly and attentive service DipCo is the spot to go!

I've visited this place twice now and usually I'm not too inspired to write a review, but my visit…read morelast night really showed how much I enjoy the general vibe and especially the food of this place. When you enter this place its at ground level and immediately you recognize you need to take the stairs up. Once you usher yourself up it opens up to two areas where you wait to be seated. The place is an older vintage like gastropub where the front is one bar and some seating, but on the backside is more open seating with where the band and another bar are situated. This place isn't meant to be for large groups, but could possibly accommodate groups of 6. The main bar which also next to the kitchen is an older vintage style bar and whisky's is nothing special but once you sit down and hear the music you settle in nicely. Service has always been courteous and prompt and the menu looks like there are a good assortment of choices. The two times I've been here I've ordered the mussels which includes great sauce and spread with seasoned ground meet. Was so yummy! The second time I came I tried the CHICKEN FRICASSEE. Man was that great! It includes 4 pieces of bread, chicken and the mushroom sauce. So good! Both times I had some of their assortment of single scoop ice-cream which in this area, something about the milk from their amish cows is so creamy. All that said, this is one of my fav places to come enjoy a glass of wine and food. Oh and Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday's they have some instrumental band playing too.

In a recent visit to Lancaster I did some searching online for places to eat and followed the recommendations to the Horse Inn. Sooo happy we did!! The food was amazing. Hats off to the owners and chefs! Only bad thing is we don't live close by and we can't go back soon. But we will be back!! Special mention to our wonderful fun server, Luis, who made the experience even better for us! Give that guy a raise. THANK YOU!!

Another very overdue review (kindergarten teacher life! ), but this one is especially special…read morebecause Bert and the Elephant became part of our wedding story long before our wedding day. About a year before our wedding, my husband and I were exploring Lancaster as a potential wedding location. While walking down the street, I spotted a giant pink elephant. For those who don't know me, Delirium is my all-time favorite beer, and its logo is a pink elephant, so of course, it immediately caught my attention. When we walked inside, and I realized it was a Belgian beer bar and restaurant, I was absolutely ecstatic. Bert, the owner, noticed how excited we were, and we started talking. Bert is incredible! He is so knowledgeable about all of his different beers and cares about every single detail. He even has a different glass for almost every beer because, to him, the details matter. But what really stood out was how he treats people. Bert makes you feel like family. Before we left that day, he even gifted me a little ceramic pink elephant straight from his decor. I was absolutely giddy, and I still have that little elephant proudly displayed in my home today. I knew right then and there that we had to have our after-party at Bert and the Elephant. And we did! We were able to rent out the entire place for two hours after our wedding. We had an open bar for the first hour and delicious finger foods for a late-night snack. I'm sure you're thinking, "That must have been insanely expensive," but it wasn't! And it was the perfect location, right down the street from our hotel, so everyone could walk there easily. Our wedding day fell during a heatwave, and unfortunately, the heat definitely affected how many people could make it to the after-party. Everyone was exhausted from the day, but Bert and his staff still made sure that everyone who came had an amazing time. They were welcoming and attentive, making the night feel so special. Bert and the Elephant turned out to be the perfect way to end our wedding night. What started as a random pink elephant catching my eye on a walk through Lancaster turned into one of my favorite wedding memories. We are so grateful to Bert and his staff for helping us end the night with great drinks, delicious food, and even better memories.
