I prefer green house bar for the vibes more than the food and the drinks. We walked up and planned to sit outside, though we did a little lap inside to admire the plants. We grabbed menus and brought them outside to decide what we wanted. When we ordered the man taking our order could not seem to care less about any customer service. We then brought our number to our table. The food came out in a timely manner. I got the turkey #2, I will say everything tasted very fresh except for the bread. The decor and service were excellent, but I was unimpressed with my food. I ordered the Frida bowl, and while the egg was cooked perfectly, the chorizo was dry and unseasoned. It wasn't inedible, but for $15 I would expect something a lot better. However, the cold brew was strong, and I had no complaints there. The Sunrise BLT was so good; the bread was buttery and toasted, the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the egg was runny which formed the perfect sauce with the mayo. I got a side salad, which was delicious and dressed well but smaller than I thought it would be. My peach bellini was awful; it had peach chunks in it that were not puréed at all. It was basically prosecco with pulp I had to chew and the garnish was a lemon instead of a peach slice. The inside was really cute with all the plants and fun seating, but for a brunch spot inside a bar there were a lot of kids running and jumping around. I almost knocked over a running toddler. Parking isn't great, and there are no handicap spots. Also, the building setup is a little confusing with no signs clearly pointing towards the greenhouse. The bathrooms have vague animal symbols; just have gender neutral bathrooms instead of those cheugy signs. I might would try this spot out for dinner, but it was not the move for brunch. read more

Absolutely LOVED our visit here. We did not have any food though and we did sit at the bar, so our service was speedy. We grabbed cocktails before a dinner reservation and they DID NOT disappoint! This vibey café and bar in Green Hills is a plant lover's paradise. I met up with some friends for lunch here, and already want to come back and enjoy this beautiful space again soon! There is a small parking out front, with more spots accessible from the alleyway on the right-hand side. It was busy when I arrived, but I managed to snag a spot in back. Given the chilly winter we've been having, I was impressed with how warm it was inside Greenhouse Bar. They definitely had the heat on - and their enormous tropical plants seemed to be loving it. The food is "catered" by FoodCo ... I say catered loosely because I believe they're located on-site for a joint venture of sorts. I ordered the "Pick Two" specialty option, which is a great deal for $10! I chose the Tomato Basil soup and the chicken salad sandwich. The soup was chunky, hearty, and delicious, and while the sandwich was just OK for me, it still made for a great dipping vehicle for the soup. I also appreciate that they carry gluten-free bread, and were able to accommodate my friend's request! I didn't get a chance to enjoy any beverages during this visit ... but I'll definitely be back soon to change that! read more

Stopped by Greenhouse Bar on Sunday night for a cocktail and dinner with a friend. I was confused at first, because the front of the building lists the Food Co instead of Greenhouse Bar, but I then realized that it's all the same space. I pulled around the back where there was a lot more parking. Inside, this places looked like a lush, green, beautiful oasis! It was covered with beautiful plants from the floor to the ceiling. It's a seat-yourself type of place, and you can order both drinks and food at the bar. They then give you a number for your table so that they know where to deliver your food. I got a lavender lemonade drink that was delicious. I also tried tithe queso/guac/salsa sampler and the burger - both were good! Very cool place with an awesome vibe! read more

Disappointing experience overall. the husky bartender with glasses made an inappropriate comment about me and my friends' sexuality, saying we looked "gay," which was unprofessional and unnecessary. the other bartender with long hair was rude when I asked to close my tab and made the interaction uncomfortable. I've loved The Greenhouse Bar for years and have recommended it to friends and family countless times, which is why writing this is really disappointing... Tonight, a cockroach landed on my friend while we were sitting at the bar. We calmly informed the bartender, asked for our checks, and expected at least an apology or some acknowledgment. Instead, the response felt dismissive, there was a slight smirk/laugh, no apology, and no attempt to address the situation. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident. In January, we saw another cockroach there, along with a mouse running underneath our table (we told a staff member who laughed it off). I understand this is a greenhouse-style, semi-outdoor bar, but there still has to be a standard for cleanliness and pest control in a place serving food and drinks. I genuinely love this place, which makes this even more disappointing to experience repeatedly. read more

You walk though the food company and past the outdoor seating to the back where The Greenhouse Bar is. It's filled with beautiful plants, music, and people. Food, service and ambience spectacular! My friend chose this eatery as a birthday treat from me. She suggested it for the cool environment and yummy salads. I discovered this place definitely has a cool environment, unlike anywhere else I've been. It is an actual greenhouse. The tables are amongst all kinds of plants. I absolutely love the setting and can't wait to introduce other friends to it. I got the tea sampler with the 1/2 Food Co Salad, 1/2 scoop of Taragon Almond Chicken Salad, fruit, and muffins. The homemade dressing made the salad, enough so, I would order it just for that. The chicken salad was a little bland, so I probably won't order it again. The fruit was tasty, and the muffins were delicious. And, a have to mention their fruit tea. I've had a lot of fruit teas, but I think theirs is the best I've ever put in my mouth. I live about 12 miles away, but I would make a trip just to get the fruit tea, if nothing else. My friend ordered the Goddess Salad. I had some of hers, and it was absolutely delicious. I was so impressed with the things that we got today, that I'm anxious to try everything on the menu. I took pictures of their deserts, and I plan to try them in the future. Wow. I am so disappointed in the treatment I received by the bartenders tonight. We received a sickly sweet drink that was undrinkable and kindly asked a bartender (black hair with a mustache) to remake it. He looked at us, grabbed the drink without saying anything, and poured half the drink out replacing the rest with soda water. He handed the drink back w a dismissive "here u go". I then went up again and asked him to kindly remake it, as pouring soda water into the drink is not remaking it. He rolled his eyes at me, grabbed the drink and did the same. Exact. Thing. And handed it back. A male friend went up to speak with him about his behavior in a calm way and security made him leave. Nice , different fun looking place not every day u can sit in a green house like environment. We were able to find some seating for drinks we got the Boozy Apple cider & the Sangria they were both good. then we tried the Chicken scratch beer, gotta say the name alone makes u want to try it loll .. it was good, not too heavy. On the food we tried the Grilled cheese & tomato soup & the Tinga chicken tacos. Good grilled cheese went well with the soup & the tacos were pretty tasty as well, we ordered the food at the bar & it was brough to our table. Service was not bad, they don't seem to come around & ask if you want anything else. So I have been here a few times. Recently 2 time and the first time about 7-10 years ago. This a great place to feel like in a botanical garden. The drinks and food are good. The ambience is chill and the service has been good every time I have come in. Not a place that will turn down kids but I would not recommend it with kids. Come check it out! read more
