I mean, we pulled up on a boat, and Jack and Jackson helped tie us to the dock. Everyone was talkative and friendly. We had two small dogs with us and were told pups weren't allowed, so we decided to order to go, and The Landing Restaurant accommodated. We got many perch plates, and an amazing lobster roll. We were here a few nights ago for dinner and a big storm rolled in so fast we couldn't get my husband (he has mobility issues) inside before it hit. My FAVORITE spot to eat at while in northern Michigan. You can pull up, dock your boat, and enjoy the stunning view of Lake Michigan while eating on what is essentially a boardwalk. The spot has an island-y vibe, with amazing food and even better service. The restaurant/bar was recently re-done and it's nicer than ever. There's an outdoor, tiki-style bar, inside seating area, and outdoor deck on top of the water. We sat outside and ordered Thai peanut butter and homemade jam sweet potato fries, regular fries and garlic mayo, and a pulled pork sandwich. The regular fries and pulled pork were my favorites. The cocktails looked fun as well. Our server was incredibly friendly and passionate about the food - telling us about how much she loves certain items. We'll be back! read more

We loved The Landing!!! I finally had my first lobster roll here and it was great. We shared a basket of trout for an app and my husband had a blue tiki drink and a shot of banana rum. I had a virgin pina colada ;) for dinner my husband had a burger that was perfectly chargrilled. We ate outside due to covid and felt very safe. Nobody was near us, the staff wore masks and everything was spotless. We can't wait to go back. It's a beautiful place and we had fun w our son watching the boats come in;). Such a cute, fun restaurant with amazing views! We were on vacation in East Jordan and had a dinner out at The Landing. It is so cute with beautiful flowers and colorful Adirondack chairs in the waiting area. We were a party of 7 including 3 kiddos. The menu had plenty of options for all ages. The pretzel is huge and so good! The lobster roll, salad, fried fish and lamb burger all got rave reviews. The only thing that was average was the crab cakes. There was a small wait at 5:00p but a large crowd gathered by 6:00p so go earlier if you don't want to wait too long. read more

Ok, I don't come with high expectations for these small sleepy towns but WOW was I in for a treat. While they don't take reservations and what was a :30 wait time ended up being an hour and they lost our spot in place a manager soon took care of that and we were seated. All the food was top notch. I LOVE this place! Such a fun atmosphere. We take our boat and are able to dock it and wait in our boat if there is a wait. Great food and they always seem to be well staffed and the staff seems like they have a great time while working. Too bad it's only open during the summer! It's also located right next to the Ironton Ferry so an interesting thing to see in person. A car ferry to help people save time if you want to get to Boyne City quicker than by driving around through East Jordan. It only costs $3 for a one way trip. It's a quick ride over Lake Charlevoix and well worth it. A great place with excellent food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. One of our favorite places to eat around Charlevoix! read more

We are new to the area and feel very fortunate that someone suggested we try The Landing for dinner. It made us feel like we were on vacation despite being only twenty minutes from home. Watching the boaters arrive to the restaurant, and the endless boaters enjoying Lake Charlevoix for sport, made our 45 minute wait an enjoyable time. The addition of the remote bar helped too! Once seated, we had the pleasure of being served by Maddie. She made the evening even better with her professionalism, easy friendliness and welcoming demeanor. In fact, every member of the staff we encountered, from hostess to seater to bar tender, was welcoming. As to the food, the perch basket was delicious, the broccolini was crisp and well seasoned, and the brisket nachos were loaded with goodies. If you want an assortment of rum, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! My grandparents have owned a cottage on Lake Charlevoix for 30+ years -and since then themselves and their two sons (my father and uncle) have seen the place since it was just getting started until now. When I tell you this place is the best it's ever been- from the service, the attentive staff, the awesome food, the perfect "lake life" atmosphere that is fun and not one bit pretentious...our family LOVES the Landings and we want to give a special shoutout to each and every server and bartender we've had- most are in school/college but they have been the sweetest and very fun to have conversations with. This place is a little island paradise wrapped in a restaurant. I have been here multiple times during the year at multiple times of the day and it is always a good time. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is unique and delicious, and the view is breathtaking! They have some fun drinks, local brews and black cherry sodas for the kids. The nachos are a sight to behold. I highly recommend them as a first choice. They come smothered with goodies and loaded with pulled pork and chihuahua cheese. The burger is rather good, cooked to order and run through the garden. My wife ate the vegetarian burger and enjoyed it thoroughly. You are able to sit on the water, have a cocktail and great meal. A fun little spot just outside of busy Charlevoix, we went for an early dinner. Sitting along the water was beautiful. I was super exited to try the lobster roll, but it was sold out. We did visit in a Monday, so I'm assuming no fresh lobster shipments on Sunday's. . Although, my husband and I enjoyed an order of the nachos!! Definitely enough to share between the two of us. It was a busy Friday afternoon but we were seated quickly at a table on a dock, surrounded by water and boats. Our waiter, Megan, was very energetic, professional, timely and although they were crowded, she made us feel special. The Landing has the perfect lake charlevoix setting. We come here at least once each summer. We've learned over the years to keep it simple, because the food is VERY hit or miss. Last visit I ordered the Bahn Mi Sandwich and dear god (photo included) two of the smallest pieces of meat (if you could call it that) to begin with but each was literally 95% gristle. Not edible. Had to just make it a vegetarian bahn mi not by choice. Kids had the basic stuff - burgers and grilled cheese and those are fine. Wife had an average as can be salad. Servers are nice but clueless young kids. Restaurant is owned by Preston who is super rich but come on man, you can afford to put actual meat on the sandwiches you sell. read more
