A spectacular day to sit outside in the sun by the water in beautiful downtown Charlevoix enjoying draft local beer and having a sandwich. We started with the pretzels which were amazing! Soft, dripping with butter and the Mike's honey mustard dip was the perfect accompaniment. I had the Taproom Signature burger, with sliced avocado and jalapeño. I imagine this place gets a lot of business due to them being open when all other options are closed. To start off, they don't take names for a seating list. Everyone stood in an unmoving line and whoever was next in line got that table. So there was no option to walk around. We were given a noticeably dirty water glass. They put the 'slim' in their Slim Jim, and the smoked brisket sandwich had such little meat, it tasted like roast beef, was fatty, and the horsey aioli just tasted like plain mayo. How did I not take pictures!? I guess it was just that good that we ate too fast. Traveled to Charlevioux with a friend for half marathon weekend. With packet pick up being RIGHT outside the Tap Room and it being a beautiful Friday afternoon, they were busy busy as you can imagine. I LOVE the sign on the host stand reminding you to be patient! I explained what it meant to the man standing behind me in line. We chose the Tap Room before even arriving in town bc we wanted to sit on the patio. I LOVE patios and will typically go elsewhere if I can't sit on the patio on a beautiful day. Our choice was wait 20 mins or sit at the bar. To give up the patio, sit at the bar (which I hate doing) and still give 5 stars!? Wow. My friend and I each ordered NA drinks (great options and served with enthusiasm by the bartender!) and a wrap. I got the chicken ceasar minus lots of the extras bc I just like chicken and ceasar. Order came out quickly and correctly. Also YUMMY! My friend got another wrap...chicken bacon maybe? and said it was excellent as well. Tap Room has good vibes, nice view, is clean, organized, and everyone in the restaurant left us with a good impression from the first greeting, thoughout our meal, and as we left. Good value for the menu options and again...5 star service. So good I forgot to be sad that I wasn't eating on the patio. Definitely getting added to our regular Charlevioux itinerary. read more

One of our semi regular stops, Bridge Street Tap Room has enough variety that everyone has a choice. Both my kids love the pizzas, my husband loves the burgers, I always order a salad and the bruschetta. Portions are large enough to split, or take home. Service is quick and friendly. We love the beer flight to try beers we wouldn't normally get a full glass of. I've found a few great ones there over the years. Looking forward to the renovations and can't wait to visit soon! read more

We had a great dinner at the Bridge Street Tap Room; the spot is perfect to look out over the lake and take in the views. Sadly, the spot isn't super big, so you're definitely going to have a wait during busy times. Also, we sat inside, which was a bit stuffy since it was super full - I think it may be better to sit outside. They have some great beer options, along with many different options of seltzers and ciders - which was an awesome change for people of our party. The food was pretty good - mostly bar food, but it was a step above other bar food spots. I really enjoyed the Chicken Parm Grinder - it's a different take on the chicken parm. The burger was in high demand and not small; if you're looking for a solid burger, this place has them! read more

We are visiting the area and like to check out lunch locations and chose Bridge Street Tap Room. We asked to be seated on the outdoor patio which has views of the lake. There is also a draw bridge next to the patio which we saw in operation. Cool! The menu is wonderful with entrees that aren't on many menus. I had the 1# of mussels simmered in a white wine garlic sauce, served with bread and a glass of Chardonnay. They were moist and tender and the sauce was delicious. My wife had a scrumptious grilled cheese sandwich with a superb cherry cider. Great value. Good service. read more

Right on the harbor in downtown Charlevoix, Bridge Street Tap Room is such a perfect spot for a drink and a quick bite to eat. They have this wonderful patio space that is right on the street and on a good day, you can just sit out there and enjoy the boats going by. The service is AMAZING here, especially given the fact that we showed up as a large party of 10. Our waiter was so friendly and regularly checked in on us - and never forgot a single thing that we asked for and rolled with the chaos of our group first deciding just to get drinks there and then other people joining in later on and us all deciding to get food. The food came out so quickly and all of it was so good! it's standard American fare, but it really hit the spot on a deliciously warm, end of May day! We had a great time here, the vibes were immaculate, and it was so easily accessible from the Mushroom House we stayed at. Afterwards, we were able to walk up and down the downtown streets shopping. Such a prime location and will easily recommend this to everyone who ever finds themselves in the Charlevoix area! read more

I was here for lunch recently on a girls trip. We chose the location since it was near the harbor with outside seating. The food was tasteless. I shared a brisket sandwich which was more like warmed up lunch meat and without a smokey flavor which was a bummer. The highlight of the plate was the potato chips which I think were homemade?. They did have a nice selection of beers to choose from. The service was good and our server was trying her best to hustle along everything considering that she was insanely busy. I visited Tap Room today and left with more than just a check -- I left with a charge for a Shirley Temple I never ordered, never drank, and quite honestly, would never be caught dead ordering unless I was being held hostage at a kindergarten birthday party. Not sure if this was an honest mistake or just their team's creative way of squeezing a few extra bucks out of unsuspecting customers, but either way, I'm not impressed. I'm 18, not clueless -- and definitely did not feel like paying for some random child's fizzy sugar bomb. Whether this was a server's mix-up or someone assuming I looked like I needed a juice box, I'd love a refund for the drink I neither wanted nor consumed. Unless, of course, the Tap House policy is "You Order It, You Pay For It. You Don't Order It, You Also Pay For It." In the end, my meh waiter was deaf to the request to remove from my bill. He dismissed my request and forced me to pay a 20% minimum gratuity (lowest option on the select a tip screen) for my food and the drink that I never ordered. 1 star for this joint. But I liked my food - so I give a reluctant 3 stars. read more

The pretzels were almost dipped in butter then salted, not a good combo, my olive burger was tasty with good meat and olives but the dressing left a lot to be desired, my wife's grilled chicken salad was adequate but the chicken was dry and overdone. Our server was doing a good job but they need more help, had to wait for a table, wait for her and then wait for food. The view of Lake Charlevoix is nice out the windows or off the deck. Table spacing is good so it doesn't feel cramped. Nice not great get more help. read more

Came here because it was dog friendly, mid afternoon on a Thursday after a long hike for my birthday lunch, with my pup. The wait to be seated seemed to be more common with the outdoor seating area (due to waiting for a host to come outside and seat people). Once seated, they did bring water for my pup quickly l, which I always appreciate. I waited at least 10-12 minutes after being seated for my waitress to come (thank God the host gave me a menu to look at!) so that by the time she came I was ready to order. Personally I felt the menu to be overpriced, which was confirmed when I received my black bean burger. It had great flavor (bun was dry), but it wasn't worth $14, especially since it came with chips you buy in the store (Lays probably) - I'd say max of $12 for that dish (yeah yeah I know it's a $2 difference, but add the beer and tip in and my meal cost me $25, NOT worth it). They do offer pay via QR code on your receipt which is very convenient. My beer was a good choice after a long, hot hike. It looked like the Mac'n'cheese is a popular item, so if I'm ever back in the area and stop in with my pup again...‍ All in all I was refueled enough to make the drive back to Grand Rapids... read more

Fantastic place in downtown Charlevoix! Came here once we got into town for our wedding weekend. Ended up running into a bunch of our wedding guests. Everyone enjoyed their time, even while waiting for a table. The view of the water was something you cannot beat. Food and drinks were delicious and wait Staff was very attentive. They made us feel Welcomed and at home. I would definitely suggest going early and being prepared to wait for a table. Or expanding! It would be great if they also took reservations, but with it being a vacation spot, I see why that wouldn't be helpful for all. I will be back anytime We are in town! read more

Solid option with a great view. Our poor, overwhelmed server did as good a job handling ALL the outdoor tables by herself! Solid, if not spectacular, bar food and really friendly service. I got the Italian sammie that was okay (could have been more) but the nachos were very good! As was the cheesy bread. My wife's burger was good, but a bit spicy for her taste. That's on her as it was a Cajun burger...lol. It's a welcoming, little tourist town pub and the expectation should be within that definition. Very nice people run it. read more

Visited here twice over the Memorial Day weekend. The views of Round Lake are stunning, so that definitely adds to the experience. The menu and food is great. There were well over 30 beers on tap plus a great selection of wine and mixed drinks. The service was prompt and helpful with some great recommendations on the menu. Was completely taken advantage of at this place. Way over charged for tequila. For some reason they casually placed an extremely expensive tequila ($40 a shot) on the menu right next to Jose cuervo. The server failed to mention that we were ordering/drinking $45 tequila and sodas and had no problem pouring a second Not only was this obviously extremely deceitful but the employees also had to act like it was totally our fault for not realizing they were being shady i have been to countless bars and never have had anything like this happen. Then they changed the sauce recipe, multiple times. I ordered it Thursday and got what's pictured below. Not Ramen and not close to the amazing dish it was. The waiter tried to tell me it was Ramen (uh, what?). Waiter got rude, rolled his eyes at me, ignored me for 30 minutes, then rolled his eyes at me again when I asked to speak to the person in charge. Bridge Street, please fix the recipe! Beautiful view. They allow dogs on the outside patio that has umbrellas for shade. I tried the Ebels smoked Brisket sandwich with gouda cheese. It gets a 10!
