You get the choice of hash browns with toast or a pancake the size of the plate, and both options are excellent (deciding is the hardest part). Lately we've been sitting in the bar area when we go in around lunchtime (usually Thursday or Friday before our weekly shopping). The bartender is fantastic--friendly, attentive, and makes a great Bloody Maria. Overall the pizza was just OK for me, a bit too dry from the extra cooktime/char and maybe dough hydration, the sauce not being as refreshing and bright as I like, the cheese as bursting with creamy milkiness as I want on these types of pies. But it still hits the spot and I'm happy I stopped here at such a cool little spot on such a great island. But for Whidbey Island pizza I'll probably stick with Village Pizzaria for now. (And they had a nice, covered outdoor patio seating area, where our dogs were welcome!) However, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! They do have beer and pizza -- but we opted for the salad (healthy) and the Pork Belly (perhaps not so much). Both were five-star delicious! And the view from the patio is also pretty darn nice.
