I booked for a 12:30pm appointment the day of and she was ON TIME! I filled out a application stating I'm doing eyelash extensions and I'm not allergic to anything, I'm giving her permission to take pics, etc. I absolutely love how she explains to you what would be best for your lashes and length but it's our choice what we want. She just wants what's best for our lashes! She made me lay down comfortably on her massage bed and it's really relaxing. She tells you her procedure on what's she's going to do & always checks up on you on how you're feeling. I felt to comfy, I literally took a small nap lol she's very gentle and careful on her work. She takes her time and doesn't rush. I like how she knows what's she's doing because she tells me facts about like the temperature needs to be correct and stuff for the lashes to dry... & what she's putting on my eyelashes Something like that? Saw Alsie for my first lash extension appointment at the The Lash Out Bar. Alsie was so sweet and accommodating. She constantly checked in with me and made sure I was comfortable despite the construction work going on in the suite next door. What I value the most during any type of service is when your tech or artist thoroughly explains what they're doing and why. Alsie did just that. She is willing to give you a crash course on the process of lash extensions (if you're curious enough to ask) and I appreciate that she's honest about her work. After we were done she explained what changes we could do on our next appointment and how those changes would affect the longevity and health of my lashes. I have been dying to come here to get my lashes done. I did get lash extensions before from a different lash salon and hated how expensive they are to upkeep. I wanted a low maintenance alternative to lash extensions so I decided to get a lash lift and tint. I do like the way my lashes look but ever since I got it done my eyes have been irritated and itchy, resulting with a stye eye. Of course I know they tell you all the risks and I did put on the disclaimer sheet that my eyes are sensitive but only to light and Jossilyn was helpful to dim the light a little and turn it off when it did not need to be on. I also booked an appointment for my mom a few weeks back to get a lash lift for her birthday, her lashes looked great then maybe a week passed and I noticed her eyes were always red and looked irritated. Overall customer service was great, Jossilyn was very nice and friendly. I am very bummed that both me and my mom experienced lots of eye irritation after the lash lift. read more

I can't say enough great things about Joss! She listened to my preferences and knew exactly how I wanted my lashes. Though it's pretty, I'm not a fan of volume lashes because it would be a bit much for my day job. I like my lashes casual yet flirty without the look of heavy adhesive clumped at the lash line. I said nothing more and she whipped up her own personalized lash plan for me. I hardly get fallout and my lashes look great even after 2+ weeks, but I never push it. She is so easy to talk to, or not to talk to if you'd rather relax and nap. I personally like to chat because it distracts me from not being able to open my eyes for an extended period of time. She is very accommodating as well. I couldn't schedule online once because she was all booked. I shot her a text and she fit me right in at 8 pm when it was convenient for my schedule. Prices are comparable to other lash salons in the area. I don't mind paying for something I'm happy with. I've spent more on lashes I hated. This review is for both Gina and Josslyn and super overdue. I move around the country quite a bit and always dread looking for a new person to do my lashes and brows. I've gotten my lashes done on the mainland quite often and always have them last 3-4 weeks. I have been to two different lash girls on island and each time my lashes fell out within a week. How frustrating and upsetting to have wasted so much time and money to just have my lashes fall out within a week. And this happened from two different girls who do lashes (and both got really good reviews here on Yelp). I've also had bad luck with eyebrow threading here (I don't like getting my brows waxed). My once beautifully shaped brows were massacred into super thin pathetic eyebrows (nothing wrong with thin brows, just don't like them on me). After growing them out, I tried a girl in Pearlridge Center who a friend suggested I try. She did a good job! So I booked again in 4 weeks. Well, she butchered my brows the 2nd time--even making the arch on my right brow so severe that I looked angry even when I wasn't. Ugh. I almost gave up and figured I just can't wear lash extensions or have nice brows here in Hawaii. Thank goodness I found Gina! I found her on Instagram (some time at the end of November/beginning of December 2016) and started following her. After about a month of following her, I saw she had brought on Josslyn for eyebrow threading. I went ahead and texted Gina to book an appointment with Josslyn and inquired about her pricing for eyelashes. I was super nervous to see Josslyn, but decided she will be the very last eyebrow threader I try on island before I completely give up. Josslyn introduced herself and brought me over to her room. She looked at my brows and asked me how I wanted them. I told her I like my brows thicker so I won't need to pencil them in. I also told her of my previous experience with other threaders on island and was really nervous to have her do my brows. But she did amazing! I was so thrilled she didn't butcher my eyebrows that I booked another appointment, as well as an appointment with Gina for eyelashes. I have been extremely happy with my eyebrows since I've been seeing Josslyn. She is very talented and so nice. Gina is AMAZING! Thank goodness I found her. She is extremely meticulous and takes pride in her work. She is so sweet, too. I pretty much fall asleep every time I see Gina. It's like someone combing and playing with your hair, but with your eyelashes. It's so relaxing, lol! I feel so pretty with my lashes and love waking up without having to really put on any make-up. And my husband absolutely loves the lashes on me. But I get my lashes done for me, not him hahaa! I started with the volume set, and haven't looked back since. I love how thick and full my lashes look. And I don't have to worry about them falling out after a week. They last until it's time for a lash fill (I go every 3 weeks) and can probably wait until 4 weeks. I live in the Pearl Harbor Hickam area and will drive all the way to Kapolei to see Gina and Josslyn. THEY ARE WORTH THE DRIVE. I am so thankful I found Gina and Josslyn! ***Side story: I ended up having to cancel my 2nd lash fill in the beginning of March, due to my vehicle being in the shop longer than expected and I couldn't make the appointment. Gina was totally booked up and I was leaving the following week for the mainland for a convention. I wanted to be sure my lashes looked good while I was on the mainland, so ended up booking with another lash girl closer to me. My lashes looked good, but only lasted a week. =\ My lashes with the girl closer to me looks like my lashes after 3 weeks with Gina. So lesson learned...never cheat on Gina. I'd rather have my 4-week old lashes from Gina and wait for her to do my lashes, than to waste money again.*** read more
