We were both tired and a bit cranky, so perhaps we were impatient. It actually took about six minutes to make that one drink, after checking my notes. Hmmm. I don't know what they do when they get busy. My girlfriend reported that her latte was fine, so I guess that's the conclusion. Pretty average.

I appreciated that they took trouble to make it feel like a special experience - with white tablecloths, decor and the cutlery. They seemed a bit short staffed that day so our server was helping out many tables. He was very helpful in explaining the menu, though we did have to ask specifically to receive the full tea menu. We decided on a few teas to share - a spiced white chocolate white tea, rooibos chai, and a hibiscus cooler (iced and non-caffeinated). The spiced white chocolate was fantastic. I wasn't as much of a fan of the rooibos but if you like less sweet teas this is a good choice. The hibiscus cooler was delicious and refreshing, and I liked that they let us take it to go! Our amuse bouche came out first - a delicious pumpkin seed savory small soup and it was fantastic. We eagerly awaited our tea tower - and it certainly did not disappoint! We are still thinking about the delicious spinach and artichoke pinwheel with olive tapenade - it was our absolute favorite. The savory sandwiches were also delicious. We especially enjoyed the clotted cream and lemon curd with the scone, and the desserts were delectable. We were stuffed by the end of our teatime! Our server was very helpful and despite it being very busy, we felt taken care of. I think this is a very worthwhile experience - the tea, sweets, and savories are all delicious and definitely worth checking out!

The coffeehouse itself is decent enough, but I'm not that into the music most nights. I do like poetry, writing and listening to others', but the Monday night poetry event is absolutely ruined by the host, Tom. He tells moronic stories that are clearly exaggerated, he spreads falsities as facts every week, he interrupts poets, he insults people, and he is terrible at his job. What finally got me to write this review is that I'm a regular reader and I showed up and signed up, and he wrote something on his clipboard right then, and later, said my name wasn't on his list, and didn't even apologize. He's a complete jerk and should be immediately fired. The coffeeshop will not be seeing me again as a presenter or as a guest unless they get rid of him. He also owns the bookstore next door, which is a cluttered mess. If you like live music, give this place a shot, but avoid Monday poetry night, the host completely destroys any fun it might have had. read more

For the first time in my life I was actually banned from a business. Incredible! Considering filing defamation suit. They actually threatened me that they could have me charged with Attempted Theft. (I took a kombucha and sat down - The cash was on the table). This owner should look into the law - Attempted Theft must be intended. Not attempting to leave IS prima facia evidence that they would have to prove (that I intended to STEAL). Idiots are everywhere. And it just goes to show you that Boulder is NOT completely full of happy spiritual people. Sad really because it was so close to my house - now Ill have to drive farther - Another boulder irony... The Good: Excellent atmosphere, good people--even those having conversations and not just looking at Zappos or reading TMZ online. The open-air store front is really relaxing and the barristas engage you in a nice way The Bad: $2.25 for a tea is ridiculous. I'm sure the rent is high, but that's too much. I'll pay almost anything for an industria- grade, professionally brewed coffee, but that's too much. I know the price comes with the amenities of the shop, but please. A monkey with a tambourine can place a tea bag in a hot cup of water. This tea isn't special--lower the price. read more

Boulder's #1 cultural institution. It's bascially Penny Lane reincarnate, thus the Laughing Goat is hands down the best coffeeshop in Boulder. Favored by locals for years, and having inherited the community respect of Penny Lane, the Goat is obviously where the most artistic folks in Boulder prefer to have their daily joe. The Laughing Goat is run by the friendly barista coffee professionals we've come to rely on every day...and you simply must admit that the charm and friendliness they bring to the atmosphere is rare even if it's now expected. read more

The coffee is high quality, but if you have a certain amount of melanin the service is horrible. Mainly from the guy that wears the mason ring at 55th and Valmont. He is definitely a closet racist that tries his best to give those like him great service and those that are not like him shitty service - and makes it obvious without saying how he actually feels. I wish I had his name because I am about to call him out on all these social review sites once I do. But dam the coffee is good, and makes me avoid his cowardice and move on. read more

Clearly the best espresso in town (next to Amante). But unlike the scene at Amante, LG (Laughing Goat) is a chill place. The baristas are great, friendly, and very easy on the eyes. The place is big enough to find you own place and do what you need. I think most people who work in Boulder on their start-up companies, spend hours at LG. It is not uncommon to see U.S. Representative Jared Polis having a meeting and coffee. It is my home away from home for 2 hours about 2-3 days per week. Great place to get some work done. read more

The Laughing Goat is a home away from home. I go to the goat every morning of the week and the greetings that welcome me keep me going. The baristas are kind and enjoyable to be around and let you know that they care about you as a member of the coffee shop. They all make an effort to know your name and help create an environment that allows people to be comfortable and at peace. Their drinks are amazing and always coupled with beautiful designs on top! I think I have an addiction to the Laughing Goat. Maybe it's the Kaladi Brother's espresso maybe it's the Bhakti Chaim wait no... It's the staff for sure. They have velvety textured lattes, perfectly balanced espressos and a spicy chai, order it my fav way: dark goat chai. Starting my day every morning here every day gets me fueled for my daily adventures. I love seeing great local musician perform like Jarrad Menard, Lara Ruggles, and discovering random Brazilian dance nights. read more

Great place to hang out and study all day. The ice tea is surprisingly good (yes bad iced tea exists) but other wise big fan. Will be coming back and spending many hours here in sure. Congratulations on carring Oatly it is by far the best oatmilk and most coffee shops in Boulder dont realize this. Also I dont think it would hurt if you guys revamped the space a little. Stop hanging crappy art on the walls. Get new tables etc. The space and ambiance feels neglected. read more
