Instead, they lifted the canopy about 5-6 feet off the ground and completely butchered the natural shape of the trees. Anyone with real knowledge of tree care should know that magnolias are not meant to be pruned this way. Decades of growth were ruined in literally 5 minutes. I was honestly heartbroken when I saw the result -- I literally cried. These trees were one of the most beautiful parts of my property, and now they look unnatural and stripped. This kind of damage cannot simply be undone. To be fair, the tree removal itself was handled adequately, but the trimming work on the magnolias showed a serious lack of knowledge, judgment, and care. My second disappointment is that when they returned for a soil sample they bent the back gate off the hinge and will need to be replaced. They did the soil sample when we weren't home so there's no hard evidence that it was their team but who else could have broken our gate on the same day they came?
