In short, they nailed getting me my caffeine fix! I walked in around 9am on a Sunday morning and was able to walk right up to the counter and order. The young woman who took care of me was very nice, friendly! I ordered a large iced coffee with almond milk (there was an upcharge for adding non-dairy milk). I was happy with the amount of ice to coffee - More coffee than ice, I was a very happy guy! I did see their food menu but had already grabbed (free) breakfast at the hotel I was staying at, but I would love to try one of their sandwiches if, when I'm in Jamestown again. Inside was spacious and clean, with several tables & chairs as well as a long table along the exterior window, perfect for people watching. I noticed a couple tables and chairs outside in front as well. Crown Street Roasting Company is a solid, local coffee shop with young, friendly staff and solid options to get your caffeine fix, as well as an appetizing breakfast food menu.

The toast comes with dried rosemary that was a little heavy handed for my tastes, but he loved it. The latte had honey and lavender in it, a bee's dream. They also have plenty of crystals, stones, cards, and gifts for sale as well as regularly hosting events like live musicians, healing presenters, magicians, etc. There are usually plenty of places to sit down indoors as well as on the large open air porch. It gets pretty busy after a major workshop ends or a public reading event in the auditorium, but so far the line has moved in good time and with kind service to keep it a great experience. For lingering, there's a bookshelf of books to borrow while in the cafe or for fostering a different type of connection, there's a bookshelf of games to play while at the cafe as well. It seems they've considered everything that makes a great hangout experience and gone above and beyond to offer it!

I will say her cookies are quite delicious. I wrote a few times. We had some messages through Facebook and then the phone call. We spoke about my order. She was going to call me back to complete the order. She never called me back. I was forced to order from Macy's. When I wrote her to politely ask her what happened, and why she didn't call me back she became very rude and snarky. She said she was overwhelmed with health issues. She should have just told me from the beginning that she could not fullfill my $100 order. She was insulting and told me that I "wasn't the type of customer she wanted" wow! She told us a little bit about the history of the place and was very welcoming towards us. Her father was "Jack" from whom they got the name of the place from.
