I would strongly caution anyone considering this firm for family law representation. I spent over $11,000 and received almost nothing of value in return. I was charged three separate times for "scheduling mediation" and billed over $1,500 total for mediation-related work, yet I never even received a single proposed mediation date. There was no mediation scheduled, no follow-up, and no progress ... just charges for administrative tasks that went nowhere. Most of my invoices were filled with duplicate or redundant emails about things I had already submitted. Every time I asked for a status update, I was charged again...and because their process requires emailing multiple staff members at once, I was billed for each person copied on the same email. I personally completed almost every form myself, and when I asked for minor edits or corrections (like removing a "wizard" section I didn't want added), I was charged again to fix their own mistake. There was no transparency, no accountability, and no meaningful legal action taken on my behalf. For $11,000, I expected at least movement toward mediation or resolution ...instead, I got invoices and frustration. If you value your time, your money, and your sanity, look elsewhere for representation. What a nightmare, steer clear of these clowns or you will spend money very quickly. The only department that communicates and is active is the billing dept. I hired them for an uncontested divorce and 4 months and $10,000 later nothing but the original filing was done. I never actually spoke to my attorney. Roderick. The copy and paste paralegal had zero attention to detail and couldn't get a single form correct. I terminated them and got another attorney and had my divorce signed off on in 10 days. I lost my children, my home and everything I have ever cared about to lies that should have been exposed in court but my attorney was ineffective. As I'm about to loose my apartment as I now only have $300/mo to survive on, they have the audacity to hit me up for another almost $50k. Pursue legal action if necessary. Their billing practices honestly feel like they cross into criminal territory. Communication has been nearly nonexistent. I've made repeated attempts to get updates, clarification, or even basic responses, and most of the time I'm ignored. I am tens of thousands of dollars in, and nothing has been filed -- even though they've had my declaration for MONTHS. Nothing has been completed. I still haven't even received a finalized version of my own declaration back, despite multiple promises that it was coming. They finally sent me one draft after pushing the deadline back several times. It was full of errors -- incorrect dates, wrong information, missing context. To their credit, they did apologize. But then they sat on the corrections for months. I still haven't received a final version. I haven't received anything. Just more billing. On multiple occasions they promised filings would happen on specific dates. The dates would pass. I would reach out and be ignored for days. When I followed up again, I'd get a generic email response with yet another new promised date. This happened four separate times. But somehow, the weekly billing never missed a beat. They've even sent billing statements, then later claimed they were "incorrect" once I questioned them. At this point, I've paid tens of thousands of dollars and have nothing to show for it. I was then told by the finance department to email them to have all the higher ups take a look into my concerns. Mind you, I was told that the trust account needs to be at 5k . Who needs to actually read case files when you can just wing it, right? I mean, why bother understanding the arguments of the opposing side when you can just sit there with a blank expression and a hefty bill in your perfectly manicured hand? It's truly astounding. Twenty thousand dollars! For what? To watch someone shuffle papers around and pretend to be busy? To witness a masterclass in the art of saying absolutely nothing of substance? I've seen toddlers with more convincing arguments about bedtime. This wasn't legal representation; it was performance art, a tragicomedy of incompetence masquerading as legal expertise. THIS IS AN ABYSMAL FAILURE! "T", you've truly redefined the meaning of "highway robbery." I'm now convinced I could have gotten better results representing myself with a legal dictionary and a box of donuts. This law firm is the worst experience I have ever had with attorneys! They charged an insane amount of money almost $20,000 in just over 2 months and wrote two weak responses. They never did what I asked, and would not respond or communicate until i put pressure on them. It felt like I was being robbed weekly! they will not give me the details of charges they are legally binded to. The finance department also couldn't even give a correct invoice. It honestly feels like a scam and as a full time single dad and single source income this could cause permanent damage with nothing being done at all! Do not use them it could hurt your family! Do not hire these people! On 9/19/25 I contacted them about getting a divorce. They charged me $250 for a consult. When I agreed to hiring them they charged me $5000 for a retainer. By 9/21/25 I changed my mine and notified them that I didn't want a divorce. I was told that by 9/25/25 my retainer would be credited back to my credit card. They never returned the money. Instead they double charged me for the consult fee AND the retainer. Then they took out $164 from my retainer for opening a file on Google. Attemps to resolve this have been met with silence. My next stop is the States Attorney and Washington BAR. These people know I'm a disabled senior with early stage dementia and they are robbing me. Avoid them like the plague. DO NOT HIRE THIS LAW FIRM. I hired this law firm to represent my son . We paid them $47,500.00 . Doing a hearing, Mr. Levey didn't call any witnesses,not even my son. His x-wife lied through her teeth. When asked by the judge if he had any witnesses, he said no. Said he was just going to go by the declarations that were written. The judge said that he would not even consider those decarations because the opposing atty. couldn't question the person that wrote it. He finally asked the x-wife 2 questions. That is what we paid $47,500.00 for. This firm switches attys back and forth and each time , we are paying for them to review files . At the end of that hearing, Mr. Levey wanted another $20,000.00. We hadn't even had our day in Family Court yet. Because we couldn,t pay them the $20,000 he withdrew from my son's case. He now has turned my son in to collection for $24,162.55. That is a total of $71,662.55 in atty fees for nothing. Because we were loaned out, we could not hire another atty. My son is now getting ready for a trial that he has to represent himself. This case involves his children. I don't know how this man sleeps at night. How does he look at himself in a mirrow !!!! I have filed a complaint with the Bar. Waiting to hear back from them. There is a reason they don't have an address when you look them up, they are not a real law firm. I wish I had seen all these reviews before I paid them what many others paid them. $7,500.. just to file for child support & parenting plan. They even did a zoom call with me but lied and kept me strung along ALL summer long!!! I did reach out complaining to them I even went to my bank and got most of my money back because they did NOT do the one thing I paid them to do. I also kept getting random emails from other "workers" saying they're working on it, oh just sign this and that and then we will send you over the files. Don't know how they found me, but they informed me that they could help me in my situation. I did all the research for them to show everything they needed to win my case. My lawyer wasn't even ready the day before the trial. After spending 30,000 when I was told it was going to be about 12,000, got nothing out them. Most of the legal advice that I recieved was illegal, and tried to lie on legal documents. Not only did Akansha state they have back burner cases, she went on telling me "my case wasn't a backburner case." we had spent $7,500 which was discussed on getting it filed and in court yet nothing was filed. I requested my files that we're supposedly worked on, and ZERO files were sent to me. She also proceeded to tell me that they would get my case in no later than a week and have not heard anything other than $5k withdrawn from the funds and 4 weeks that have gone by and nothing filed. Not even one word to discuss my case and when it's going to be filed nor asked for me to review any documentation. When I sent an email about my disappointment with their services, not one word. Just refunded the rest of the 3k they pulled to "keep significant funds" in their trust. I feel extremely devastated and ripped off. I hired the levey law Nov 2023 to help with my parenting plan case. Since then I have given them 20 plus if not $30,000. I have gone months without even hearing from them. And multiple times a month they take hundreds of dollars and it's always the same on the invoice...reviewing,reviewing,reviewing. It took 4 months and thousands of dollars just for them to finish writing 1 declaration. 2 weeks ago I asked for a phone meeting with my attorney Alyssa Miller. I had to pay someone over there to ask her to call me and they didn't even call at the scheduled time. When we did talk she told me she forgot our conversation from April and then gave me a plan of moving forward which was the exact same thing we spoke about in April that I thought I was waiting for her to do this entire time. What she said she was doing. Last week they tried to take another $3,000 and said if I didn't pay by Friday they were going to withdrawal from their service. So on Tuesday after the Labor Day weekend I sent an email asking if we were going to file any papers ,they did not respond to that, Alyssa sent only that they talked to the financial department they're placing my case on hold and a hour later her assistant Heather sent me intent to withdraw papers. So for almost a year and thousands of dollars spent it took one week of them not getting more money and them not even submitting a single piece of paper on my behalf . I'm a single mother of two.I gave them my entire savings and trusted them with the lives of my family. Reading the multiple reviews it is clear as day the exact same thing has happened to multiple people just in the last year. They're taking advantage of people in their darkest hour. Absolute waste of time and money. We hired the Levey Law Group for a child custody case. This was a huge mistake. In the initial consolation they appeared very genuine and involved. They told us what we could do which actually ended up being false and violated our parenting plan. Then after a month of trying to get answers they sent us a bill and told us they needed more money which we had already spent 5,000 and the attorney had not even looked at our case yet. The day we were supposed to file they never sent us any emails, text messages or called. Turns out they had not even started on our paperwork. We asked for the remaining money back they had not used they had spent an additional 2,000 and hadn't even done what they said they were going too. We never actually heard any advice from them. Our attorney Irma, her paralegal Heather, and the rest of our "team" (which we never actually heard from) sent us a final bill which told us the exact amount of time they had spent on our case turns out the only time the attorney actually worked on our case was the initial consultation. Don't be fooled by the 7,500 dollar retainer and the big "team" they promise. Take your money elsewhere. read more
