Plenty of seating, reliable Wi-Fi, enough outlets to keep everything charged, and I had more than enough room for both my laptop and portable monitor. They also have a great selection of books if you need a break from the screen. The staff was welcoming, the coffee was excellent, and the avocado toast definitely lived up to the hype. My only note is that it runs a little chilly inside, so I'd bring a sweater. Other than that, it's an easy 10/10 and a spot I'll definitely be back to.

The shop has plenty of Asian inspired things. I saw a bunch of manga comic books, Pokémon items, Japanese stationery items (notebooks, highlighters, pens, etc), plushy toys, keychains, etc. I bought a cute 100-day notebook that was light green on the outside. It can be used as a planner or a diary. I can't wait to delve into it and maybe use it to track a goal or two for 2026. The store employee was friendly when I walked in and answered some questions that I had. I wish they sold more stationery items. They had a limited supply of planners and notebooks of different varieties. I believed they opened their store in November 2025. My friend Christina and I stopped by in mid-March 2026 to browse books as we waited for our dinner reservation next door at Amba. BOOKS/OTHER -- There are 2 levels of books to browse with the upstairs filled with used books and downstairs containing new books. I bought two used books for $6 each - one is titled Disgrace and the other is titled Sapiens: A brief history of humankind. I haven't read these 2 books yet but I am excited to later this year. Besides books, I noticed other items for sale such as some cute handbags (small tote bags with jewelry or charms on them) and t-shirts. FANTASY/SCIENCE FICTION -- They offer a wide selection of fantasy and sci-fi books which my friend Christina appreciated which is her genre. I don't read fantasy or science fiction books so I can't comment on that but I did notice some Andy Weir books on the shelf, including, Project Hail Mary, which I only know about because of the movie that was recently released. There's also a number of board games, a sprinkle of other genres available and an upstairs that has used books. They seem to also have community events upstairs as well which is always great. The prices for new books are comparable to other brick and mortar stores. Anything that isn't in stock but available for order can be ordered. The owner was lovely and very knowledgeable, we talked books spanning multiple subgenres of fantasy and sci-fi. I will be back, to the detriment of my wallet. Highly recommend!

Today was my first time visiting Book Brothers, and I must say--I will likely be back again soon.

I think the coolest part about walking into B & L is that it is a time capsule that represents every comic shop I ever went to as a kid and young adult. This is a good thing. Larry is such a nice guy and he knows comics and has a great selection of wall books and back issues. He also gets new books on Wednesdays. The shop has comic supplies along with some great sports cards and non-sport cards. He carries other great collectibles and even some candy which I can't say no to...ever! Larry and B & L will have Free Comics tomorrow for Free Comic Book Day. Stop in and say hi!!! There were some soft openings in March 2026 that I heard about after the fact. They replaced Appletree bookstore which closed last year (2025). I visited for the first time on the 10th of April 2026. There are a few chairs to sit on as you browse books and the store is bright due to the light coming through from the windows. BOOKS -- I bought 2 books - The Second Chance Convenience Store and 84, Charing Cross Road. They offer a selection of mystery, sci-fi, historical fiction, horror, translated works, children's books, fantasy, etc. They have fiction and non-fiction books. The selections appeared smaller but since they are a new bookstore, I won't be surprised if they start getting more books in store. OTHER ITEMS -- Besides books, they also sell, stationery (pens, notebooks, etc), journals, bookmarks, candles, mugs, and numerous other items that are great for gifts. SERVICE -- I visited on opening day, on Friday, April 10th in the evening and I met the owner immediately upon walking inside. She was friendly and explained the layout of the bookstore. PARKING -- There is a free parking lot behind the bookstore. Unfortunately, the owner circled me like an eagle for my duration at the store, then stood at the entrance just staring at me. I have no idea what it is that I did to cause this reaction. I've been to the store plenty of times before and had positive experience. I also visit and know many vintage vendors in the area. The whole experience just didn't sit well with me. I decided to not purchase anything because this type of behavior shouldn't be supported. It was uncalled for and unpleasant. I won't be returning. CS Folk (formerly BB Folk) calls itself a general store. General store means that you'll find all kinds of goodies here - home decor, trendy clothing, food items, and accessories. The store is in the stretch of Ohio City that's known for its vintage and thrift stores. Go to this store especially when you want unique gifts. INVENTORY: The store's inventory includes lots of cool clothing merchandise from local makers. For instance, I found a very fitting "witchy woman" hat at this store. Other merchandise that always gets me excited see home decor and wall art. There is an expansive shelf with refined decor. Prices are pretty reasonable considering the uniqueness. SERVICE: I found all staff to be very chatty and friendly. Always welcoming atmosphere. PARKING: Find street parking along Lorain Avenue and in the surrounding streets. It never tends to be busy in the area. EVENTS: The store collaborates with its neighbors - Table for 2, Recreational Pots and Plants for sidewalk markets. They're always fun and involved plenty of local makers. I highly recommend visiting the next market. I always love wandering into this store and tend to gravitate toward beanies and clothing.
