I've learned more than I ever cared to know about lice recently, but I'll give the Cliff Notes Version: save yourself the time, energy and most importantly the stress and mental anguish of wondering if your at home treatment worked the first time. Or if it worked the second time? Because it says you only have to do it once. But...Are the nits or eggs really dead? Should you treat a third time? Do you feel your own head itching now? Lice bugs falling out of my middle daughters extremely long, curly hair while in Oklahoma at my parents home. We live in KATY, TX!!!! My friends suggested coming to The Lice Place in Katy. I went to their website and emailed requesting an appointment. Mallory called me back and we set an appointment for our return. There were so many tips on the website, most importantly, you don't need over the counter chemicals (I mean, these bugs survived the ocean and swim team swimming, so more chemicals weren't going to help!!!). On the phone, they suggested keeping her hair braided and tea tree/mint smells and other things. I also knew if I used a lice comb and pulled MY hair back, I could possible get a lot of them before I had to go for 2 days. We went today and Trashanielle, Paula, Cat Janet put us at ease, checked all 4 of us and showed us what they found. My child that I had combed out of days before we could come in had a few hollow shells proving (if the pics and videos of live bugs weren't enough) she DID in fact have lice. Thankfully, we all had negative lice checks!!!! Best money spent to prove we are clear of lice, kindest and most helpful staff, lovely location in Katy and now, we have our own lice comb, mint spray and gentle hair brushes (we choose to get 3 for all three girls so we don't have to share). Billie and her staff are amazing! My daughter got lice at the start of Kindergarten. I had remembered this place existed and called immediately. They took us that day and checked all of us. We were all lice free but her. We now go every 2-3 weeks for free checks based on our package we bought! Best money spent! Also it avoids all of the horrible toxins that the ineffective OTC lice products have in them! Highly recommend this place!! read more

First of all,everyone is very helpful and friendly. Ms. Paula was who did my moms and my hair. I luckily got rid of them on my own but my mom had to have treatment. Ms. Paula was very professional and didn't make us feel bad for having to deal with these annoying bugs. i would definitely recommend the Lice Place, Katy to anyone that has to deal with them. Terrible place!!!!!!!! They never informed us that there's a $25 fee for follow up appointment if you schedule it after 7 days past initial treatment or Saturdays. I tried to schedule past 4 days after the initial treatment but they didn't have any schedule available after school so I ended up having to pay a extra $50 for a follow up after 7 days. I find very sketchy they didn't inform us about the additional fee. If I knew that beforehand I would have scheduled by the time I left the first appointment. When I confronted the lady at the front desk that I was never informed about the fee she offered me only pay for a regular appointment but then I wouldn't be able to use the 30 days warranty policy. What kind of company offer this kind of service to their customers??!! Do not recommend this place!!!! read more
