I love this little dive-y joint. Nice people are running the place. They are attentive without being overbearing, they are efficient and they are friendly. All good! It is with a sad heart I have to post this review. The owner and most of the employees are nice people but the one regular male bartender is so rude and will ignore most people other than his favorites. We have been going to the Limit for many years and have supported and given them a lot of our money from gambling and ordering food. There were also three other regulars that were there all the time also, but they quit going and we will never return as well. So sad that one arrogant employee has to make the owner lose good regular customers. The food is good and the drinks are good but since he works almost everyday and is the one who is extremely rude and arrogant we will never return good bye to the Limit forever!!!! read more

Never again! I've come to this grill whenever I'm in Centralia for the last 20 years. Mike and Rene, the former owners ran a great dive bar/grill that made a customer feel comfortable. The new ownership seems rather unconcerned about your presence and seems to spend a majority of the time fawning over a few. I was in Centralia today and decided to stop in and see how the place is under the new owners. There were 3 people at the bar and 4 at a table in the dining area when I sat down. After 5 minutes I got to order a beer and told the server that I'd like to see a menu. I waited for her to take my order and she never returned. She walked all around the area talking to the cook and yukking it up with the table of four, bringing them fresh chilled glasses etc. but completely ignoring me. I was invisible! After 15 minutes more I was pissed and put money on the bar and walked towards the door. She, again at the table of four, acknowledged my presence as she saw me leaving and I reassured her that I left payment on the bar and said " I'm out of here" assuming this might register as a service issue. Nope she said thanks and went back to the table of four. The Limit has lost a longtime customer and any positive reference I might ever provide. Never again! read more

Veronica served us and was friendly and on it. They have two pool tables and you rent them per hour so no interruptions to your play. They also have three choices for IPA. Yes! I'm tired of the space dust that every other tavern serves. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

The limit is a hidden gem. All these reviews are old. Pepe is the new owner and he cooks with love. You can tell he has passion for making people smile. He's always cleaning and dusting when he's not making your food. He makes all his own sauces and cooks most everything from scratch. I highly recommend you give this place a try. It's the only place around lewis County that my wife and I don't have to cough up $100 for drinks and a meal. Please give this place a try. You won't regret it. The food was ok, however, their menu pricing does not match what they will actually charge you. When the check came and the pricing did not match what i was expecting from the menu, I showed the employee and she said, oh, that's 3 years old, that's not the price anymore. She then still charged me the new price that she wanted to. Also, the water has a really bad taste to it. read more

Went in for some dinner last night. Ordered some drinks and food. Drinks came quickly. But then something disturbing and gross happened. As we were watching the guy prepare our dinner, he started handling all the food including the raw bloody reuben meet without once changing his gloves. Then started into making my sons turkey sandwich. In disgust we called the server over and told her what we saw. Then told her we would just pay for our drinks and find somewhere else to eat. She informed the cook and he had the nerve to tell us that he's been in the restaurant business for a long time and that's how it works and that we were not ever to come back. Sounds fine with me. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Their fries are THE BEST. Onion rings are great too! Service was one of a kind and so very genuine. My guy and I are not into the bar scene but we love the food and the atmosphere isn't the typical rowdy and obnoxious college bars you usually find. Loved the friendly service. I loved the good lunch restaurant and they brought over their recipes to the limit so I was thrilled! My fav is their house salad dressing the poppyseed and the gobbler sandwich which is turkey with cream cheese, lettuce and cranberry sauce. It's refreshing. My hubby really enjoyed his cheese burger with fries that were way too delicious! Not the nicest atmosphere but totally what you would expect for a bar setting. read more

This bar had the rudest, most neglectful bar tenders I've ever seen. I've been here multiple times, with groups, and by myself. If you're by yourself, the bar tenders basically ignore you. It might take 20 mins to get your first drink. It's bizarre to me. I've got money, and I'm sitting there, but yet the bar tenders conspicuously ignore me on multiple occasions. I've never experienced this lack of attention at any other bar but this on in my life. Most bars try to pretend that you, the customer, are at least marginally important, but this bar seems to revel in making you feel insignificant, and u important. I don't get it. But maybe there is No getting these negligent bar keeps. The only redeeming quality is that they do karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays. Other than that, I recommend avoiding this strange nightmare of a bar. read more

Yup. Good food, casual atmosphere, friendly worker bees.... kareoke on the weekends, but the best time to come is happy hour and weekend breakfast brunch. The food ranges from deep fried fare to awesome sandwiches and salads, homemade desserts, and, depending on who's working, the most amazing and unexpected specials you will ever see in a bar! Limit is a good place for lunch. Their limit deluxe burger is meaty and loaded with onions, tomato, and lettuce. Their salad is crisp and fresh. My biggest complaint is that they don't have wifi. Real bummer since I really enjoy sipping beer in places like this and playing on my iPad. read more

We have always enjoyed going to the limit food and service fabulous. Tonight they were not busy. 2 were tending bar. We sat for 15 min. No one approached us. I had to ask for a menu. Then someone came in from the back ordered 2 double cheese burgers and onion rings. We were still waiting for someone to acknowledge us. We have visited several times. Good food, good cold beer. Staff really friendly. The burgers are REALLY good! Recently instead of a burger I tried something different; the Turkey Melt. Before you order this you need read the description! It says Turkey, cream cheese and cranberry spread, warm and MELTY. Knowing that info, it was wonderful! I don't think I would order it to go though; it would not travel well as it would get really soggy. On Fridays and Saturdays if you want to eat dinner do not wait too long into the evening, this place get packed and the gals are really running to take care of everyone! I don't know if they had the fryer turned off or why or what but the French fries they brought to the table were overcooked on the outside, yet cold, limp as shoelaces, and greasy throughout. The upside is it's still a fascinating puzzle how they managed to accomplish French fries so bad. They were so amazingly disgusting years later they are still a topic of household discussion and I'm still motivated enough to write a review. It's possible they had a really bad day but no self respecting chef would've looked at those fries and decided they were worthy of tableside delivery and not offered a substitution. The impression we got was he just didn't care about the fries or us at all. I'd suggest only going there if you feel like rolling the dice and have an odd enough sense of humor to appreciate it should things go spectacularly bad. read more
