I love Grace Beauty Salon! I go here once a year to get my hair digitally permed. Grace is patient, flexible with scheduling, and always makes my dry, brittle hair look absolutely luxurious! It is also very affordable; I was paying about $250 for a digital perm, which is actually cheaper than many of the common Asian hair salons nowadays. The photo I've attached is from several months after my perm, after I literally just rolled out of bed to do a grocery run, and you can see that the gentle waves stay in your hair without any styling needed! I love my new haircut! Bella is the best, she's very nice and did a great job cutting and styling my hair, she definitely puts great detail and care into her work. I came in wanting a Lisa Rinna haircut and I came out looking like Thelma Harper and I'm only 38. I asked her if she was comfortable doing this cut and she said she understood what I wanted and proceeded confidently. She did not listen to what I wanted, she did not use the photos as a reference, and she did not use the length of my bangs as a guide like I requested. As a result I have very very short hair (two inches long at best) that is shaped like a grandmas cut. It will take years for it to grow back. Smh. I went for a haircut with several pictures and a clear idea of what I wanted. I talked to the stylist and thought we agreed on a haircut. I told her don't cut too much and I liked my length. After 45 minutes of non stop cutting, I left with a unblended men's short haircut. I don't like the cut at all and I wish I had never cut my hair here. I just returned from having my hair cut by Bella (Ludia) at this salon and am very pleased. My hair is very fine, thin, and is naturally curly, but I do not wear it in a curly style. She spent a great deal of time talking to me about my hair--listening to me explain my struggles with my hair and how I style my hair and giving me her suggestions. Initially it was just a consultation, but I liked what she said and had her cut it. I like to have my hair cut dry because it is ALWAYS cut too short if cut wet so she did not wash, blow dry or style my hair.....only cut it. She charged me $30. I have been looking for a reliable hairdresser since the last one sold her business. I think I found her! I looked on Yelp and decided to try Grace Beauty Salon based on the great reviews and photos. I called at 10 am on a Monday and Bella answered promptly. She asked what time was good for me and I said 11:30. Fine. But she called a little later asking if I could come at 12:30 as her 10 am appointment showed up! I reached the salon at 12:25 and was asked to be seated. It was clean and well maintained. There were 2 other technicians for nails. Bella was the only hair stylist at the time. She asked what style I had in mind. I actually showed her a couple of photos I saw on Yelp reviews of Short, stacked bobs. She took me back for a shampoo. I made suggestions as we went and she was very cooperative. I asked it to be shorter at the back and angled on the side. I wanted more height at the back and on top. In the end she did a really fine job. What I liked particularly is that she gave me many tips for hair care as my hair was very dry. Too much straight iron she said! I was rushed by you, waited patiently for previous customer to get what she wanted. You gave me your suggestions to "straighten" my curls rushed through trying to straighten my curls with HEAT and harsh round BRUSH. Stripped out my curls trying to "straighten" which rushing you gave up, leaving me with a mess. I went to another hair stylist to see if they could fix and their suggestion. OLAPLEX treatment. I had it done and my curls are saved. They said, "Curl pattern was disturbed but we will get it back." They also said, "Frizz is normal with curly hair, you can't get it out but you can get it controlled." You wanted to straighten my hair. My curls would have been ruined. Please stop suggesting Keratin to those who want to have curls. I'm glad you "didn't have time" to further ruin my hair. read more
