Stopping in Williams for fuel and groceries on our way back up to the Grand Canyon and found this place across from the Maverick gas station. The owner is lovely and highly regarded and protected by the locals ;) He has great food, but also modified things for my dietary needs. Just a sweet man and good food. We will be back

If the service and food quality don't blow you away, you probably are suffering from the longhaul symptoms of COVID (loss of judgment and loss of sense of taste and smell). Rick treat you like celebrity and the food makes you feel like royalty.

    Look for the red truck.

The place is running out of a food truck and the menu is more limited, but it's still worth a stop even with so many options in town. The food (basic dishes served over rice) are well made and flavorful. The Jamaican jerk chicken is recommended. The owner is super friendly and was the highlight of our stop. Williams is a really nice little town and fun to explore as well.

The Little Chicken Spot of Williams AZ is an unsuspecting gem in this town. I stopped by one day after we visited the vet and decided to give the place a try. I'm super glad we did. The owner was there and he was super nice and I would honestly come back just for how great he was. FOOD: I ordered the Katsu Teriyaki Chicken plate (SMALL SIZE), and was super impressed by how much food was brought out. The owner said that a small was more than enough, and I feel like that was the most honest statement I've ever heard from a mom and pop shop. The chicken was delicious and the teriyaki sauce was super flavorful. The cooked veggies sealed the deal as well. SERVICE: As I stated above the owner of the place was there the day I stopped by. He was extremely kind and helpful, and the chef is fantastic. OVERALL: The Little Chicken Spot is a MUST TRY place in Williams. This place will pack a punch for your meal and is really affordable. I would highly recommend giving it a try.

The Little Chicken Spot food truck is a hidden gem in Williams. The food is exceptional, and Rick's warm, engaging love for people is phenomenal. He will be sure your preferences are noted, and you'll be well taken care of. We ordered Chicken Quesadillas and a Creamy Jalapeno bowl and then took our meal to Sycamore Falls to "picnic." It was so delicious we returned to order more for our trip to Zion the next day. I can't say enough about Rick. We'd go back just to spend time with him! His wife was the chef - excellent! The Little Chicken Spot is a MUST TRY when in Williams. The food is delicious and well-priced, with generous portions. A "small" bowl would be a large portion anywhere else. Meeting the owner, Rick is one of the best things we experienced in Williams. We didn't find Rick's Little Chicken Spot truck until our last day in Williams. Our only regret is that we didn't know about them when we arrived. If you can't find the food truck - ask! It's worth finding!!

    Jamaican Jerk chicken

After 3 days of Mexican food in Sedona, we were craving something different, and found this place on Yelp during our drive to the Grand Canyon. What a hidden gem! We ordered the spicy honey and Jamaican jerk plates. The spicy honey chicken was actually my mom's favorite meal during our one week trip through AZ. This means a lot considering we enjoyed some very fine dining during our stay! The chicken and veggies were fresh and perfectly cooked, and both dishes were very flavorful. We ordered 2 plates for the 3 of us to share and still had leftovers. If you like your food spicy, ask for their chili sauce on the side. They make their own and it was delicious! But definitely made us sweat :)

Great little food joint in Williams, AZ. If you love chicken even half as much as I do, you should check this place out! So many choices from Mexican, Indian, Asian, and more. We ordered the Jamaican Jerk and Katsu Teriyaki bowls. Both were very flavorful. We preferred the Katsu tho. The beer cheese chicken sandwich looked really good so I will definitely try that if we ever come back this way. Their pineapple cream soda and acaí berry lemonade fountain drinks were super tasty so don't skip on those either. Rick took our order and checked in on us throughout our meal. He was very friendly and personable. He gave us great recommendations and ensured we enjoyed our meals. We sat in the large bar area attached to The Little Chicken Spot. It was roomy with lots of cool signs and animal heads on the walls. Pool table, mechanical dart board, and old western style bar. This is a great place to swing by for a meal just off hwy 40. The whole town has character. Every building is interesting to look at. Lots of people out and about and a historic railroad + train station in the town makes this a cool short detour to stop and check out.

    Owners don't believe in masks

The food looks amazing but we were unable to try it because the owner is too proud to follow Arizona mask mandate. We saw this sign on the door but figured we would double check - when we stepped inside, both people cooking food did not have a mask on. I would not recommend giving this restaurant your business.

Awesome spot! So glad we stopped on our way from the Grand Canyon. Faith based business. Had amazing conversation with Rick the owner. The food was soooo delicious. Highly recommend the panko bites and the fountain drinks. Original recipes and homemade sauces. If you're passing though you should definitely try them out. 100% recommend this place!

    Katsu Teriyaki...ummm no!
    Michael S.

I hate to do this to such a pleasant young man from Jamaica, however, this is average at Best! This is nothing more than deep fried chicken nuggets over plain white rice and some teriyaki sauce poured over top! I had to go with the Katsu Teriyaki as promoted by the young man as one of their top sellers. Fried little nuggets that are then tossed in sauce served over plain white rice?? The Orange Chicken, well it's practically inedible! The orange sauce that's literally drowning these frozen nuggets of chicken is so strong, there's literally no way to eat it! If not for the promise of potentially a great jerk chicken dish, and such a nice young guy doing his thing, I would strongly suggest not even wasting your time.

This place has 5 stars for good reason. It's a small hole in the wall place with very good quality food. We ordered appetizer pretzels with the cheese. Definitely recommend. I had the jerk chicken which was recommended and I loved it. Good quality chicken. We also ordered spicy honey garlic chicken which was good too but jerk chicken was better in my opinion. What stood out to us was the chef. He was there alone, he was the chef, waiter, and cash register. He had about 5 or 6 orders when we walked in and it was obvious he had a lot to do. He came over and talked to us so relaxed and we appreciated that he seemed so calm despite having a lot of orders to tend to. He was very friendly. 100% recommend this place :)

Great poke bowls that are huge. Everything made to order. Only a couple tables, but we always stop for an early dinner.

And I am here to tell you: none of them -- not one -- prepared me for this place. Let's start with the Governor taco. I don't know how to explain what happened to me. One bite and my entire life reorganized itself into "before" and "after." My only regret in this world is that I ordered ONE. Learn from my mistake. Order three. Order four. Then the horchata. One sip and the whole table caved -- everyone ordered one. It's that good. I've already mentally committed to drinking three more before we leave. And the beans deserve their own paragraph. My wife has appointed herself their unofficial spokesperson and is now aggressively recommending them to strangers. I support this campaign fully.

Great decor and nice ambiance. Large TVs screens to watch the game. It's a great little hang out spot. We were greeted and seated promptly. Chips and salsa aren't complimentary. My youngest opted for the supreme nachos. My oldest and I decided on the taco combo plate. The menu makes it seem like you're limited to certain types of tacos, but our server informed us that's not the case. I went with the Al pastor which was incredible and the carne asada, which was also good. Rice and beans were on point and I loved the salsa they brought out with the food--a verde an a roja, both were excellent. Everything was so good! It was the perfect send off for us as we made our journey home.

I asked for coffee and she handed me a menu and she asked if I knew what I wanted to eat. I said I needed some time to look at the menu and she frowned and walked away without saying a word. It was obvious she thought I was going to be there a while and didn't want me sitting at the table long. She returned with the coffee and said "You know if it gets busy...." leaving the sentence hanging. I replied I would leave if it did (the restaurant only had maybe 3 tables full at that point, by the time I left at 640 there were two tables empty). After eating the food, which was quite good, I promptly packed up and left as soon as I could 25 minutes after being seated. I walked down to Brewed Awakenings, got a coffee there and sat down at my computer to do some work. In a small restaurant I totally understand that you need to keep tables moving so there is not a wait, but there is a polite and subtle way to message to a patron that they need to move along so other folks can sit down. You can deliver the check early, ask if you are finished, ask if there is anything else you need. Ways to communicate to a patron that they need the table. This was certainly not it. I eat out often, I tip very well, but I have to say this is the first time I felt unwelcome and rushed at a place in a very, very long time. While the food was good, this was not the way to start off day 2 of my roadtrip. In today's economy, making your customers feel like they need to eat and run, and doing so in a rude way, is a master class in how to make your restaurant fail. I do not recommend this place.
