Both were outstanding- we loved the flavors of the strawberry and jalapeño together! For dinner we got the Spaghetti alla limone, halibut, and ribeye. All were great! I'm a little baffled by this place. It's such a lovely space, inside is lovely outside. Seating is terrific. They even have blankets for people to put over their knees on chiller or nights outside. Menu are made small, which always makes me think they make those things really really well. As a result, the price might be a little bit higher, and maybe it would be elsewhere. That's fine. You often get what you pay for. But it's not a place where you can sit and have a relaxing meal. They're constantly rushing you out. Maybe we weren't drinking enough, or maybe they need to start telling patrons you've got a reservation we expect you in and out in an hour and a half, to manage expectations. Our server was absolutely lovely, but it was a weekend night, and we were hoping for a nice relaxing meal. This wasn't that. Over $100 for two people, it doesn't seem like a lot to ask. You can make a reservation here, which is lovely. But I encourage you, when making one, to find out if they're going to rush you through the meal. Street parking. read more

My steak was pretty good flavor wise, which is why I'm giving this place 3 stars, it was tougher than expected though. The ambience is very pretty. I wouldn't go again because of the service, we had a reservation and the servers kept coming up to us and tracked our time by letting us know how much longer we had- which wasn't needed because we wrapped up with over 45 minutes to spare before our reservation time was over. read more

Fantastic dinner! We were so happy to find such a cool dinner spot with great food and vibes. We ordered the bread with ricotta and lamb meatballs to start (both delicious) and the halibut and spaghetti main courses. The poached halibut was coated in the perfect green pepper cream sauce which I should've saved bread to dip into it. The spaghetti al limone was al dente and just ok because it was a little too sharp for my liking (lots of lemon and spicy oil). We got some great cocktails and wine as well (with recs from our awesome server), which complemented the meal nicely. I had the salmon bagel and it was so good but we got so many apps that I was stuffed by the time it came out. So I only ate a bit of it. We had most of the appetizers and they were delicious. 5 of us went there to celebrate Mother's Day and had a great meal! I don't believe they usually serve brunch, but you wouldn't have known that! They were seating people on the patio, and even though it was a chilly day, it seemed warm enough to enjoy. We sat inside and had plenty of space to enjoy our afternoon. Our service was excellent and our waiter was knowledgeable of the wine list and recommended a dry rose, which was exactly what my mom wanted. We had 4 appetizers to share and each of us also ordered an entree. Nothing was big, but we had plenty of food. I especially enjoyed the cheese plate and the potato pancake appetizers. It had a very strange flavor that I could not place...I unfortunately would not order this again. Loved sitting outside! We made a reservation for Friday evening at 830 for 2. Service was attentive and friendly. Burrata salad was the star of the evening for sure. So delicious. The octopus tartine was interesting - I ordered octopus without even reading the description. It was put into a flavorful gelatin and cut into a flat sheet. Not the preparation I was expecting but still good. The salad on top was very good which helped to brighten it up and add some crisp. Would definitely to back again to try some entre items! Today was my first time checking out The Little Club on Hertel. My date and I were excited to check this place out and we made a last minute reservation and snagged a seat on the patio. We were seated promptly and given a menu. My date and I both ordered drinks to start, and I went with the sangria. It took a really long time for our drinks to come out and even longer for us to put in our appetizer order. Unfortunately they were out of the appetizer we had our eye on - so we were kind of scrambling to pick what we should get instead. The waitress suggested the mackerel as something similar. The mackerel ended up being pretty tasty and something you don't see at many other restaurants in the area and the dish overall was presented quite well. We were quite hungry and this point, and it took even longer to be able to put in our main entree order. We had to snag down another waitress to put in our order awhile later. I went with the octopus and my date went with the leg of lamb. The octopus itself was tasty, and the presentation was nice, but the olive oil sauce itself tasted so similar to the mackerel dish and the pickled cabbage (?) it presented with was not really edible. I left feeling a little hungry because the small piece of octopus alone did not fill me up, especially for the price tag. I've been to The Little Club for dinner a couple of times, but never for a holiday where they had a set menu. As always, their ambiance, staff & overall experience is amazing. But I have to deduct a star for how some of the courses were executed on their Valentine's Day menu. - Course 1- tuna crudo and latke were both great and would love to see these in their regular menus. Course 2- Octopus terrine was good but I think to balance off all the "cold" in the dish, it should have been served with warm onions. Oyster mushrooms when eaten with the crème fraiche was delightful but it became a little too salty when eaten on its own. Course 3- Rib Pork Roast with quince algrodolce was definitely not executed well. The pork was tender and juicy but the flavors of the quince algrodolce and ginger was over powering. I think it would have been better if the ginger was finely grated or minced into the dish instead of in cube to avoid the unpleasant spiciness. read more

Super solid restaurant doing amazing work in a tight kitchen in buffalo. The rutabaga was slightly salty but was exactly the type of dish that make you rethink a vegetable. You wouldn't do it at home and it's an amazing feat. The mackerel on the other hand was fairly bland and the price to value wasn't there. Next time I would go for one of the breads and another small plate over the fish. The one thing that really makes me want to give five stars is the wine and cocktail menu. Everyone knows they have incredible natural organic growers but they don't get enough recognition for their cocktails . I spent twenty minutes writing a fantastic review for this place and then my dog jostled my phone and in a blink it was lost. My synopsis is: 1/2 price happy hour - 4 wines by the glass; 3 or 5 oz pours, bottles 1/2 price as well. Food is delightful, Bread Hive sourdough! The kitchen is open so you can watch the lone chef do his magic. Cauliflower gratin whaaat?! Move over Brussels sprouts. I first went to the Little Club last summer with my older son, the food was so good I was looking for another opportunity (or excuse) to go. When my sister was in town, we went again. She was also impressed. When my younger son visited me recently, we went again. The restaurant is always packed. I made a reservation each time to make sure we can get in. They change the menu frequently, but some of the dishes stay. The small dishes we ordered were all very tasty. The roasted carrots and the fennel are must gets! We had the soft shell crab this last time, it was a seasonal special. The large dishes we like are the leg of lamb, the sirloin steak and the pork schnitzel. The coq au vin looked very good, we will need to try the next time. My son and I shared a Panna Cotta for dessert. It was a good portion and very delicious. I am not much of a wine or drink person, but they do have a good list of wine and cocktails. Being a wine lover, I needed to check out the hype of The Little Club. It's actually just that, it's quite small on the inside, and for a wine bar, I expected there to be many more options of wine than there actually was. They have a small tapas menu, and unfortunately I didn't order anything off that menu. We went around 9:30pm/10pm, and there were several bartenders, however the service was a little slow. However, they were friendly. They have beautiful wine glasses, which seems like a small thing, but it made a difference for me. They also have a few beers on tap for those who don't fancy a glass of vino. When it's all said and done, it's a cute spot and it makes a good place to stop by for a drink. read more

The fish sandwich was prepared with several steps on the fresh fish alone. We did the New Years' eve 2020 dinner for two with the wine pairing. OMG, it was as good or better than the Holiday dinner. I am in love with their set dinners and wine pairing. This was the third and LAST time I will dine here. My husband and I dined outside the patio. We ordered a few dishes and all but the anchovies appetizer were disappointing. The roasted carrots were soggy with too much oil. The lamb meatballs had an odd taste going down and an aftertaste that lingered. We each ate one and shoved it to the side. I ordered the steak sandwich and asked the waiter if I would be able to pay for an upgrade for a side salad instead of having the chips. He said he would check with the kitchen but it shouldn't be a problem. He came back a few minutes later and asked what kind of salad I would like. Coincidentally, a man in a suit walked across the street from Lombardo's and walked into the Little Club. TWO minutes later, the waiter comes to our table and notifies me that he would not be able to give me a side salad and that I would have to pay an additional $16 for an entire salad! Forget that, GIVE ME THE CHIPS and say bye to this customer! My "steak sandwich" was a glorified overpriced chewy roast beef sandwich that made the focaccia bread....again,ugh... soggy. I begrudgingly ate half of it it since it was the first meal of my day and I paid $26. The 2 stars is for the friendly waiter, who understood I was disappointed. We both ate half our meals and refused to box any of the overpriced meal. The waiter attempted a nice gesture and gave me a digestif that I could only tolerate 2 sips. I regret not waiting 30 minutes to dine at Oliver's around the corner. Oliver's are always willing to accommodate and craft great cocktails. read more

I had been to The Little Club awhile ago and had such a great time that I decided to plan a little girls' night there last weekend! My sister's wedding got delayed by a year so we were there to celebrate it almost finally being her wedding. I contacted TLC a few weeks prior and asked if they would be open to creating a customized menu for us. They were absolutely incredible! Worked with a guest's allergies as well as customizing both alcohol pairings and non-alcoholic pairings for a few non-drinkers in the crew. We had the best time and are all grateful to Chef Mike, the amazing manager Sarah who organized it all, and owner Tommy. I have traveled the world and enjoyed meals at some amazing restaurants. I simply cannot say enough about The Little Club. They nail it on every count. The food is unparalleled and literally Michelin star quality. There always seems to be like 40 people working there and everyone is amazingly friendly and attentive. The vibe is amazing--very welcoming and genuine. The value for what you get is stunning. Also, I'm an incredibly picky eater/dietary nightmare (gluten free, vegetarian, don't like fish, etc.) and everything I've ever had at The Little Club knocks my socks off.
