My steak was pretty good flavor wise, which is why I'm giving this place 3 stars, it was tougher than expected though. The ambience is very pretty. I wouldn't go again because of the service, we had a reservation and the servers kept coming up to us and tracked our time by letting us know how much longer we had- which wasn't needed because we wrapped up with over 45 minutes to spare before our reservation time was over.

Fantastic dinner! We were so happy to find such a cool dinner spot with great food and vibes. We ordered the bread with ricotta and lamb meatballs to start (both delicious) and the halibut and spaghetti main courses. The poached halibut was coated in the perfect green pepper cream sauce which I should've saved bread to dip into it. The spaghetti al limone was al dente and just ok because it was a little too sharp for my liking (lots of lemon and spicy oil). We got some great cocktails and wine as well (with recs from our awesome server), which complemented the meal nicely. Overall I loved this meal and can't wait to return, since the seasonal menu seems to rotate often

Great food, staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. It was a perfect temp in there (I'm picky haha). I had the salmon bagel and it was so good but we got so many apps that I was stuffed by the time it came out. So I only ate a bit of it. We had most of the appetizers and they were delicious. Especially the deviled eggs.

Maybe it was an off night? I am generally not one to shy away from a small menu, but this one had me a little worried. We ordered two rounds of the bread and it was fabulous. Cheese with some drizzled olive oil and balsamic. The bread was warm and crusty. I ordered the radish caesar salad as my meal. It had a very strange flavor that I could not place...I unfortunately would not order this again. If I ever go back, I would get the steak sandwich as a few people in my party had this and said it was very good. Everything had a beautiful presentation!

Cocktails, ambiance, originality, taste, service - all impeccable. I live in LA and only wish The Little Club was here! Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Buffalo

Loved sitting outside! We made a reservation for Friday evening at 830 for 2. Service was attentive and friendly. Burrata salad was the star of the evening for sure. So delicious. The octopus tartine was interesting - I ordered octopus without even reading the description. It was put into a flavorful gelatin and cut into a flat sheet. Not the preparation I was expecting but still good. The salad on top was very good which helped to brighten it up and add some crisp. Would definitely to back again to try some entre items! My friend got the halibut and said it was very good!

HOLY HELL ITS SO GOOD JUST GO. 10/10 No notes. Get the damn caramel carrots if they have them. And the panna cotta. You're welcome.

Today was my first time checking out The Little Club on Hertel. My date and I were excited to check this place out and we made a last minute reservation and snagged a seat on the patio. We were seated promptly and given a menu. My date and I both ordered drinks to start, and I went with the sangria. It took a really long time for our drinks to come out and even longer for us to put in our appetizer order. Unfortunately they were out of the appetizer we had our eye on - so we were kind of scrambling to pick what we should get instead. The waitress suggested the mackerel as something similar. The mackerel ended up being pretty tasty and something you don't see at many other restaurants in the area and the dish overall was presented quite well. We were quite hungry and this point, and it took even longer to be able to put in our main entree order. We had to snag down another waitress to put in our order awhile later. I went with the octopus and my date went with the leg of lamb. The octopus itself was tasty, and the presentation was nice, but the olive oil sauce itself tasted so similar to the mackerel dish and the pickled cabbage (?) it presented with was not really edible. I left feeling a little hungry because the small piece of octopus alone did not fill me up, especially for the price tag. Overall, we did enjoy our dinner at The Little Club but we left feeling a bit disappointed in the service and also left still hungry!

    Valentine's Day menu
    Kim L.

I've been to The Little Club for dinner a couple of times, but never for a holiday where they had a set menu. As always, their ambiance, staff & overall experience is amazing. But I have to deduct a star for how some of the courses were executed on their Valentine's Day menu. - Course 1- tuna crudo and latke were both great and would love to see these in their regular menus. Course 2- Octopus terrine was good but I think to balance off all the "cold" in the dish, it should have been served with warm onions. Oyster mushrooms when eaten with the crème fraiche was delightful but it became a little too salty when eaten on its own. Course 3- Rib Pork Roast with quince algrodolce was definitely not executed well. The pork was tender and juicy but the flavors of the quince algrodolce and ginger was over powering. I think it would have been better if the ginger was finely grated or minced into the dish instead of in cube to avoid the unpleasant spiciness.

    Chocolate Pudding

Chic and contemporary "little" restaurant, hence the name. Service was good and so was the food - got the bread with whipped ricotta (SO good ), roasted carrots, and steak sandwich (a bit tough and expensive for the size). The chocolate pudding was super rich (but good). The espresso martini was a good one. I guess my takeaway is that yes the food was tasty - but very eclectic and very flavorful. Lots of flavors happening, that it's a must to eat slow and probably a better idea to share the dishes as they are very rich and can be oily.

the cutest little restaurant on hertle! the ambiance is very cozy (yet also has a modern nyc feel to it). all the servers were so friendly, helpful and attentive. we started off with drinks and ordered 3 small plates + the sirloin steak and panna cotta dessert to share. everything was so delicious and played so beautifully. definitely one of the best dining experiences i have had in buffalo. highly recommend this place if you haven't been! :)

The best spot to try something a little different. I love a good tapas bar and this place delivers. The plates are smaller so you can get a few different things to share. They have a unique range of food and it's all delicious, they also have a great drink menu. Everything always tastes so fresh and full of different flavours. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is small but has a great intimate feel to it with outside seating in the summer.

Mackerel Filet In Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    Efraim S.

Super solid restaurant doing amazing work in a tight kitchen in buffalo. The rutabaga was slightly salty but was exactly the type of dish that make you rethink a vegetable. You wouldn't do it at home and it's an amazing feat. The mackerel on the other hand was fairly bland and the price to value wasn't there. Next time I would go for one of the breads and another small plate over the fish. The one thing that really makes me want to give five stars is the wine and cocktail menu. Everyone knows they have incredible natural organic growers but they don't get enough recognition for their cocktails . They are truly out of this world good creative and can pair just as well with the food as the wine! Check out this fine establishment!

The waitress was very down to earth and was well informed about the menu. She explained Mira had a small plate concept, they encourage to order a course from each section to share. I'm not going to lie, each dish was phenomenal!! No exaggeration!! And we were actually full afterwards. One friends ordered humus, I have never been a fan. It was served barely warm, the bacon was mostly burnt, I got little to no cheese in it and the eggs were brownish gray in several parts. The hash browns were $9 for two. Objectively good but they were way too oily and heavy for me (yes, I know hash browns are fried in oil). I also didn't love the setup of brunch. You order at the counter and then pick your own seating. We had several people bringing food and waiting us throughout the meal. While the covering does a great job of shielding you from the sun, we discovered that it's not quite sufficient for heavy rain. Although the menu listed the wine as a 2015 vintage, we received a 2019 bottle. The bartender was courteous about the mix-up, and we decided to stick with the 2019. The charcuterie board comes in three sizes, and we opted for the medium one. If you're unsure about the portion sizes, I've included a picture with this review. We eventually found it. Upon arrival, the door swung open and struck a seated guest -- a sign of just how small the space is. The restaurant was full except for one four-top (clearly ours), and we stood awkwardly in the entrance -- which is essentially inside the dining room -- waiting to be acknowledged. When greeted, we were asked if we had a reservation. We said yes. "Table for eight?" we were asked, which felt impossible given the size of the room. We clarified four, and were pointed to the only open table. No name was requested; we realistically could have just walked in and taken it. The space is starkly lit with aggressive bright white lighting that feels more clinical than cozy. The artwork is interesting and gives a gallery-like feel -- it seems the restaurant is aiming for a downtown Toronto wine bar aesthetic, but it doesn't quite land. Our table was missing water glasses, and the stemware was mismatched -- not in an intentional, charming way, but more in a "we ran out" way. Once seated, we weren't acknowledged or offered water for nearly 20 minutes. Not rushing guests is one thing; leaving them feeling forgotten is another. When our server finally arrived, the service set the tone for the evening. One glass of water was poured before he realized another was missing. He disappeared, returned with a glass, inspected it mid-pour, then walked away again (dirty glass). After several more trips and long gaps, everyone eventually received water -- about 15 minutes later. He was polite and friendly, just clearly untrained. He shared that the owner is also the sommelier, cook, and server, and that he liked working there because he wasn't expected to know much about wine -- an interesting admission for a wine bar. The owner greeted us warmly but asked only one guest about wine preferences -- ironically the only non-wine drinker at the table. The concept appeared to be sommelier-led, though this was never explained. If that is the intention, engaging the entire table is essential. That said, the wines themselves were enjoyable; the service surrounding them was not. The Taste of Oakville menu promised three curated 3-oz pours paired with a charcuterie board for two. The pours arrived unevenly and slowly, with little explanation of the pairings. The charcuterie boards were plain and inconsistent between tables despite containing similar items -- basic fruit, crostini, simple cured meats, small portions of brie, and two slices of truffle cheese. No crackers, spreads, or thoughtful touches elevated the experience, and presentation varied noticeably. Our second wine pour didn't arrive until our mains, and service moved so slowly we requested a wine list to order a bottle. We were told there is no wine list -- "we're not that kind of restaurant." Instead, all reds are $80 and all whites $70, and the owner selects the bottle for you after asking only red or white. The concept might work if explained upfront; without context, it was confusing. At one point, noticing my empty glass, our server poured me a random red -- which turned out to be the same wine as our first pour -- and then left without serving anyone else. We had to remind staff we were still waiting for our second curated pour. Nothing about the experience felt curated. The most surprising moment of the night came when our mains arrived. As we lifted our appetizer plates -- still holding olive pits, fruit rinds, and crumbs -- the servers told us not to worry about clearing them and proceeded to place our main dishes directly on top of the used plates. I'm still shocked. I wouldn't do that at home, let alone expect it at a Lakeshore, or quite frankly, any restaurant. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle, which was tasty but contained only two small pieces of short rib -- and was difficult to enjoy while staring at discarded rinds beneath the plate. The other two ordered brisket sliders: two sliders, no sides. They tasted good but left diners hungry. One guest joked they kept thinking the fruit rinds were fries -- unfortunately accurate. We tried to make the best of the evening, but it never delivered the cozy wine-and-charcuterie experience we had anticipated -- dim lighting, thoughtful pairings, something special. After finishing our meal, we requested our bills and reminded staff we were still waiting for the third curated pour. We were told "five minutes." Those five minutes never came. Eventually, wanting simply to leave, we paid a single combined bill and sorted it out ourselves. Dinner for four totaled $460. This was not the boutique Lakeshore dining experience we expected, and ultimately, it was deeply disappointing.

No comp round of drinks or anything was offered to ease the pain. So it kind of put a damper on an otherwise good experience. Another warning. Parking is a nightmare in North Tonawanda which makes me avoid going there very often.
