Chicken and fettuccine

We went to this restaurant a month ago during Restaurant Week. Shared the special with my husband. The charcuterie appetizer was outstanding...definitely enough for 2. One entree was shared which also was ample but would have liked to choose our own. Dessert was just the right size. Overall was very enjoyable...will definitely go back!!

Muddled blackberry bourbon cocktail

Went here for my birthday meal this year. I had the Steak Giacobbi and got the Muddled blackberry bourbon cocktail for a drink. The steak was cooked to the perfect temp and the meal came with a side of spaghetti as well. My partner had the Tortellini ala Giacobbi which she enjoyed. I liked the steak meal and really enjoyed the cocktail, so I would definitely return to try other things on their menu. In terms of the service experience, we ate outside as the weather was nice enough for it and we had a great server who was pretty attentive despite covering tables inside and out.

Garlic & olive oil Spaghetti

Cucina citta the ambiance very nice. I loved the art on the wall. The service was great, our waiter gave us recommendations. I ordered garlic with olive oil spaghetti on the side with chicken Marsala. Everything was delicious. We came at the right time because it wasn't too busy. Also our waitress was fantastic.

Tortellini ala Giacobbi with spinach and artichoke hearts!

Since it was a pleasant evening on 29MAY2024 during my business trip, I wanted something within walking distance of the Residence Inn on Delaware and Giacobbi's had good reviews. I had the meatball appetizer, which was very good and reasonably priced at $5, but big enough I could have shared. The house side salad was good too! The tortellini ala Giacobbi with spinach and artichoke hearts was delicious! One of the other customers at the bar ordered the bread sampler. It looked delicious, but there was enough bread for 2 people and I didn't want to over indulge. Rachael was the bartender and she interacted with all of her customers and served us well. Thanks Rachael and Giacobbi's for a pleasant evening!

The food, the service, the wine - bravo! Started off with a Caesar salad and a family-owned canned Negroni. Loved the Negroni and will have to look for the van when I get back home. The meatball was everything - so tender! And the red sauce and crostini were fantastic! Main course was the frutti di mare - hot. It was perfect. My waitress made me feel special, and I was never wanting for attention. Excellent!

Dinner for Two takeout special; Chicken Parmesan option, $35. Tasty and satisfying! :-)

I realize how this is going to sound...but, I generally don't *love* the taste of American Italian food. I just get tired of those flavors easily, is all. But, in the mood for something out of our usual neighborhood rotation, we grabbed one of Giacobbi's takeout Dinner for Two specials. We chose the chicken parmesan from Nonna's Picks. It also includes a side of spaghetti, a chef salad w/housemade dressing and warm Italian bread...for $35. Pretty good value! The thing that stuck out most to me was how nicely they cooked the chicken breast cutlets; they were perfectly done and still moist and tender. Also, the chicken was very fresh and flavorful. We barely made it through half the food that came with our order, so it's more than enough for two people. Where we're from, you would have to specifically search out restaurants that serve portions this big; so, it's still a shock sometimes here in Buffalo...but that isn't a complaint! Everything was tasty and satisfying! Giacobbi's actually has 9 different choices for their Dinner for Two takeout specials...so we'll definitely be doing this again pretty soon. I'm eyeing the Tortellini Giacobbi for next time!

Balsamic chicken pizza

We got the chicken piccata and the balsamic chicken pizza. The food was well made but under seasoned, everything just felt like it needed more flavor. The drinks were really good though!! Great environment too, lowkey and ambient! Good to chat and drink with old movies playing on the screen. Our second drinks took some time to come out because the bartender was chatting with someone for a while, but it was alright! Would go back for casual drinks on Allen but maybe not for food

Chicken Marsala

My daughter wanted Italian for our last night during our visit home to Buffalo. Specifically, she wanted good bread. After searching reviews, we decided on Giacobbi's I gave them a quick call to see if they had a kid's menu and was told they had options for kids and plenty of tables available. Parking: plenty available spots behind the restaurant (access from Delaware Ave.) The restaurant was quaint, with a small outside patio and inside seating was either high tops by the bar or regular seating as well. Our waitress Jenny was friendly and attentive. Kid's options were chicken fingers, small pizza, or pasta. Personally my kids (12 & 13) need a few more options but that's ok. We ordered the House Bread Service and it was amazing. We all loved every bite. Since the kid's options were limited, we ordered the Chicken Marsala and the Tenderloin (from their specials menu) to share. Both were great but the tenderloin was cooked perfectly as ordered and was delicious. The roasted potatoes were fantastic. Can't wait to visit the next time I'm "home" in Buffalo to try some of their pasta dishes.

Gooood italian food. Cuteee restauraunt, lovely and comforting vibes. Staff was super friendly, fun and attentive. We went at around 8pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. Food took a while to come out but nothing to complain about. Overall, worth a visit! The bread service (although an extra 7$) was awesome and very unique. They've got a great menu with a lot of selections, and really good wine. You'll definitely find something to order here. I'd visit again. Live love Allentown

Restaurant week. Menu +

Stopped in for Restaurant week. . Sociable staff and clientele. Katia was adorable. Tim was excellent and Nicole was very busy and sweet. I started with a glass of chilled Orvieto it was crisp and tasty. I ordered the pasta fagiole soup it was very tasty a mix of flavorful broth with tomatoes beans greens and pasta. As my entree I enjoyed the shrimp papardelle a mixture of wide flat noodles tomatoes rapini greens and chunks of tender zucchini, yellow squash and mozzarella the shrimp were massive and fresh. Everything was prepared and tasted well. The dessert which is included was a limoncello cheesecake restaurant made and did not disappoint a citrusy thick slice of enjoym. This is a great establishment I will definitely return for more great food and drink.

Italian nachos take out! Fantastic!!
Lynette S.

I've been to Giacobbi's many times and was so happy to find they are doing take out. Giacobbi's take out was a lifesaver today...I am especially appreciating the wine take out as well. Someone in my household was craving the Italian nachos and Giacobbi's went above and beyond. We got the nachos, and they were packaged for optimum deliciousness for our enjoyment at home. The pasta chips stayed nice and crisp and all the toppings were warm and melty. It was delicious! Also ordered was the linguine Alfredo with grilled chicken. It was creamy and delicious. Thank you, Giacobbi's, for delicious food!

We had a wonderful meal here on Sunday, March 15. Little did we know, it would be our last time dining in a restaurant for a while! The food and service were phenomenal. We ordered diner salads, the bread plate, meatballs and the 'family style' serving of chicken Parmesan. The main course was served with four large pieces of chicken and side of spaghetti. The spaghetti is served with marinara, but I asked for a side of meat sauce because the sauce with the meatball was extraordinary! I also ordered the strawberry Moscow mule. Highly recommend! It was a regular vodka mule with muddled strawberries, so no artificial flavors or sweetened drinks. When life resumes to normal, I highly recommend dining here.

We were in town attending a large national conference for families affected by their condition, and many conference attendees were also staying at the hotel. When we arrived, the restaurant appeared to be about 80% empty. Our children mentioned to the waitress that they were hungry and tired, and the first response we received was, "Do you have a reservation?" She explained that they couldn't seat us because they were expecting a large party. Instead of being seated at a regular table, we were directed to the bar area, where the bartender kindly took care of us despite the fact that our group included two minors. We stayed for over an hour, and during that time, the large party never arrived. Meanwhile, we watched other guests without reservations get seated at tables without any apparent issue. The experience left us feeling singled out and, ultimately, discriminated against. Whether that was the intention or not, it reflected a disappointing lack of empathy and inclusion--especially considering that so many families with children with disabilities were staying at the hotel for the conference. I'm giving Bella Ciao three stars because the food was decent, the portions were generous, and the bartender provided good service. Unfortunately, the way we were treated upon arrival overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

I took my son there for lunch the other day, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who as it turns out, I knew from his previous restaurants stops. I hadn't seen him in about 15 years, but I recognized him instantly. Great service, polite and courteous staff, and delicious fresh food, are my initial reactions. I was surprised how good the San Franco pizza was! I also had a bowl of Pasta Fasola which was outstanding. I live in the city of Buffalo between Delaware and Elmwood and there are many pizza places around here, plus, I grew up on Bocce on Bailey pizza. However, the Forno Napoli pizza now ruins all others for me. I have never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what pizza is like there. Authentic and fresh. I'm taking all 3 of my kids back there tonight. Trying their salads and pasta as well. This place was very busy on a weekday at 4pm, so it is not a secret. It is also not cheap. It looked fantastic. But when I asked his rating, he gave it 6/10 stars. However, I wouldn't trust anyone who doesn't like cheese so take it with a grain of salt I was torn between the Bianca and Quattro pizza so I asked the kind man at the register for his suggestion; he said the Bianca is more popular so I went with that. I enjoyed my pizza, although I wouldn't order this one again. I do want to say that it is pricey but you will get a very big pie of great quality. The dough was excellent! It was actually my favorite part and I've never said that about any pizza! Atmosphere is extremely casual. There's fruit infused waters to have and you go and grab them yourself (back right corner). But you can order bottles of soda, alcohol, etc. Also in the back right corner are small pizza boxes for leftovers you can grab if needed. They let us sample a few wines before deciding on a bottle, which was a local Niagara wine and delicious! Started with the focaccia, Caesar, and mozz sticks by popular demand. Incredible! Somehow the mozz sticks are perfectly melted inside and not like that string cheese you brought for lunch, definitely a much try. The Caesar was MASSIVE and arguably one of the best I've ever had. We brought more than half home. For entrees we had the chicken piccata, gnocchi with cream sauce, chicken parm and spaghetti. Everything was incredible, oddly enough with the exception of the chicken parm! It was served in a large bowl with sauce so it wasn't able to retain any crispiness and my husband did find it to be a bit bland. However the pastas and piccata were incredible. I think the parm would be massively improved with differently plating! We had affogato for dessert and the brownie with ice cream followed by an espresso martini which were all divine. Service was fast and efficient, which they need for such a tiny place! All in all a great first time at Rizzos, with wonderful traditional Italian flavors and incredible service to match. Would have preferred a crispier parm but portions are huge and we literally left with 6 takeout boxes! Can't wait to visit again!
