    Chicken Parmesan

We have ordered takeout from Giacobbi's several times, and it always hits the spot! My fiancé and I get the Nonna'a Pics with 2 chicken Parmesan, spaghetti, salad, and bread. You can't beat the amount of food you get for that price. Always warm and delicious. I can't speak to the ambiance in the restaurant as we've only done takeout, but I will say their staff who brings our food is always very kind and it is a warm, welcoming environment. Would highly recommend!

Went here for my birthday meal this year. I had the Steak Giacobbi and got the Muddled blackberry bourbon cocktail for a drink. The steak was cooked to the perfect temp and the meal came with a side of spaghetti as well. My partner had the Tortellini ala Giacobbi which she enjoyed. I liked the steak meal and really enjoyed the cocktail, so I would definitely return to try other things on their menu. In terms of the service experience, we ate outside as the weather was nice enough for it and we had a great server who was pretty attentive despite covering tables inside and out.

We visited Friday evening shortly after they opened at 4:00. We opted for the restaurant Week special. We received three courses to share: charcuterie with Italian meat and cheese, linguine Alfredo with chicken, and two cannoli along with pumpkin cheesecake. The portions were generous. The food was all delicious. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. This was our first visit here, and we were impressed.

We went to this restaurant a month ago during Restaurant Week. Shared the special with my husband. The charcuterie appetizer was outstanding...definitely enough for 2. One entree was shared which also was ample but would have liked to choose our own. Dessert was just the right size. Overall was very enjoyable...will definitely go back!!

Cucina citta the ambiance very nice. I loved the art on the wall. The service was great, our waiter gave us recommendations. I ordered garlic with olive oil spaghetti on the side with chicken Marsala. Everything was delicious. We came at the right time because it wasn't too busy. Also our waitress was fantastic.

Tortellini ala Giacobbi with spinach and artichoke hearts!

Since it was a pleasant evening on 29MAY2024 during my business trip, I wanted something within walking distance of the Residence Inn on Delaware and Giacobbi's had good reviews. I had the meatball appetizer, which was very good and reasonably priced at $5, but big enough I could have shared. The house side salad was good too! The tortellini ala Giacobbi with spinach and artichoke hearts was delicious! One of the other customers at the bar ordered the bread sampler. It looked delicious, but there was enough bread for 2 people and I didn't want to over indulge. Rachael was the bartender and she interacted with all of her customers and served us well. Thanks Rachael and Giacobbi's for a pleasant evening!

The food, the service, the wine - bravo! Started off with a Caesar salad and a family-owned canned Negroni. Loved the Negroni and will have to look for the van when I get back home. The meatball was everything - so tender! And the red sauce and crostini were fantastic! Main course was the frutti di mare - hot. It was perfect. My waitress made me feel special, and I was never wanting for attention. Excellent!

Dinner for Two takeout special; Chicken Parmesan option, $35. Tasty and satisfying! :-)

I realize how this is going to sound...but, I generally don't *love* the taste of American Italian food. I just get tired of those flavors easily, is all. But, in the mood for something out of our usual neighborhood rotation, we grabbed one of Giacobbi's takeout Dinner for Two specials. We chose the chicken parmesan from Nonna's Picks. It also includes a side of spaghetti, a chef salad w/housemade dressing and warm Italian bread...for $35. Pretty good value! The thing that stuck out most to me was how nicely they cooked the chicken breast cutlets; they were perfectly done and still moist and tender. Also, the chicken was very fresh and flavorful. We barely made it through half the food that came with our order, so it's more than enough for two people. Where we're from, you would have to specifically search out restaurants that serve portions this big; so, it's still a shock sometimes here in Buffalo...but that isn't a complaint! Everything was tasty and satisfying! Giacobbi's actually has 9 different choices for their Dinner for Two takeout specials...so we'll definitely be doing this again pretty soon. I'm eyeing the Tortellini Giacobbi for next time!

We got the chicken piccata and the balsamic chicken pizza. The food was well made but under seasoned, everything just felt like it needed more flavor. The drinks were really good though!! Great environment too, lowkey and ambient! Good to chat and drink with old movies playing on the screen. Our second drinks took some time to come out because the bartender was chatting with someone for a while, but it was alright! Would go back for casual drinks on Allen but maybe not for food

My daughter wanted Italian for our last night during our visit home to Buffalo. Specifically, she wanted good bread. After searching reviews, we decided on Giacobbi's I gave them a quick call to see if they had a kid's menu and was told they had options for kids and plenty of tables available. Parking: plenty available spots behind the restaurant (access from Delaware Ave.) The restaurant was quaint, with a small outside patio and inside seating was either high tops by the bar or regular seating as well. Our waitress Jenny was friendly and attentive. Kid's options were chicken fingers, small pizza, or pasta. Personally my kids (12 & 13) need a few more options but that's ok. We ordered the House Bread Service and it was amazing. We all loved every bite. Since the kid's options were limited, we ordered the Chicken Marsala and the Tenderloin (from their specials menu) to share. Both were great but the tenderloin was cooked perfectly as ordered and was delicious. The roasted potatoes were fantastic. Can't wait to visit the next time I'm "home" in Buffalo to try some of their pasta dishes.

Gooood italian food. Cuteee restauraunt, lovely and comforting vibes. Staff was super friendly, fun and attentive. We went at around 8pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. Food took a while to come out but nothing to complain about. Overall, worth a visit! The bread service (although an extra 7$) was awesome and very unique. They've got a great menu with a lot of selections, and really good wine. You'll definitely find something to order here. I'd visit again. Live love Allentown

Stopped in for Restaurant week. . Sociable staff and clientele. Katia was adorable. Tim was excellent and Nicole was very busy and sweet. I started with a glass of chilled Orvieto it was crisp and tasty. I ordered the pasta fagiole soup it was very tasty a mix of flavorful broth with tomatoes beans greens and pasta. As my entree I enjoyed the shrimp papardelle a mixture of wide flat noodles tomatoes rapini greens and chunks of tender zucchini, yellow squash and mozzarella the shrimp were massive and fresh. Everything was prepared and tasted well. The dessert which is included was a limoncello cheesecake restaurant made and did not disappoint a citrusy thick slice of enjoym. This is a great establishment I will definitely return for more great food and drink.

    Italian nachos take out! Fantastic!!

He seemed angry when my brother asked if our ID's had to be scanned, and really seemed to snap at my brother, but we shrugged it off and he scanned them and we went on with our night. Throughout the night, the security guard continued drinking these Hayburners. My brother and I were enjoying our evening, had not once had any issue with another patron or the bar, and we were in mid-conversation about piano, when I felt the guard standing behind me. He was just standing behind me, staring my brother down. It was a scary feeling. My brother, who has worked in the industry for 20 years, asked if everything was okay. The security guard approached my brother and started pushing him saying "Everything is okay with me is everything okay with you??" And my brother was walking backwards trying to de-escalate this seemingly intoxicated security guard. That's when I watched him grab my brother by both shoulders and push him backwards across the entire length of the bar, knocking him into people and objects, eventually pushing him out of the door. He even grabbed another guy and shoved him so hard against the wall that that guys beer went flying and he had purple and blue bruises from his grab. I desperately tried for the other woman security guard to understand he had just been assaulted and had done nothing wrong. She seemed to nod like she had seen this before, but wasn't going to do anything about it. My sister and I were astounded at the actions of this man. That's when he shoved me, a mid thirties woman not even half his size. Even after we were walking away from the bar, this security guard stood outside yelling towards us that he, direct quote, was going to "break our f***ng necks". This is negligence on the bar's behalf, for allowing an intoxicated security guard to a$$ault patrons. We immediately filed a police report, and they requested the video footage from the bar. The bar refused to provide any of the footage. Usually, bars who have nothing to hide are quick to comply- which was very telling in this case. We were never once asked to leave. We were just blind-sighted. I immediately called the bar after the incident and one of the owners, Amanda, who was tending the bar and witnessed the entire thing, cheerfully answered the phone. She had served my brother with no issue. I let her know her security guard had just assaulted us, and she said "ok?" And nothing further. This place does not give a rip about anyone's safety, especially not women's. It has been weeks and I'm still recovering from the pain of this night. Beware for your safety, women. I did what I could, but their actions will likely result in someone getting seriously hurt.

On a brighter note: my brother absolutely crushed it on the mic earlier that night.

There is mostly standing room for the venue, with some tables on the main level and a small balcony level for tables. I think everything was still walk-up service at the bar for that night. I didn't get any food and only had water to drink (stay hydrated!), but it looked like a pretty expansive menu for drinks. I was a little wary about the immediate surrounding area, since the streets immediately around the venue were cobblestone. This made it kind of hard to walk, when it wasn't super well lit. I was also confused by the parking arrangement in the area, since it seemed like the garage had some access restriction and the parking around the backside of the building also had confusing signage. This is not a criticism of the business whatsoever, just an important note for the other aspects of your visit.

Iron Works is an ideal venue in a lot fo way- not too big, not too small, and the perfect place for an intimate experience with a band you enjoy. Most recently we saw Caligula Blushed for their first visit to Buffalo. My other half has been a fan of The Smiths since forever, but we have stopped seeing Morrissey in concert. This was the next best thing to seeing Johnny Marr in concert. Great show, good crowd, not too crowded, and people were actually there to see the show unlike when we saw Nick Lowe at Iron Works and some people would not stop talking!! Post-pandemic, but also anytime, I have to say how incredibly wonderful it is to get fresh air during a show. The garage style door by the stage was open letting in some natural night and lots of fresh air on a cool night, which is really perfect for a show. I'm over crowded, stuffy, hot, and dark. The opening leads to an adorable patio with lots of tables, chairs, and string lights. There's a platform with seating and a little balcony with seating. There are lots places to set your drink whole dancing as the platform and pillars all have ledges. There are two selve-serve water coolers, which is also great to see. I tried a summer cocktail - a Loganberry Dirty Shirley, which was super sweet but that's what it's designed to be. A Coke was $3 and the cocktail specials were $10. Mocktails are $8 and there are other n/a offerings as well, along side beer, liquor, and what have you. They have a garden burger and fries on the menu, in addition to other meat and cheese foods. Tickets to this show were $12, which is so reasonable for a night out. This is more fun than going to the movies and should definitely be a go to if you want to get out of the house. Fresh air, water, seating...all this sets Iron Works apart. If you haven't been, go, and of it's been awhile, go back. My other half was reluctant to go out but was so glad he did.
