Great ambiance and a perfect pit stop during a bike ride. Highly recommend this place.

We stopped by as a party of 4 on Saturday and were pleasantly surprised! It's so cute and tiny inside and the service is a little slow, with only one dish coming out at a time (my dad was basically finished with his breakfast burrito by the time my sister got her sandwich many many minutes later) but we thought everything was good. I got the little breakfast and I thought it was tasty, just a little too much butter on the sourdough. We will most likely be back to try other things!

We came today for a coffee and some food. Everyone else got ceramic mugs however they informed us they were out of ceramic mugs so I revived a paper mug which was slightly disappointing. Furthermore they were out of the toast I wanted to order and it's only 1pm. Finally the avocado toast also tasted like it was drowned in lime with had no avocado flavor at all. Disappointed to say the least. On the bright side it's a very cute place and nice outdoor seating

I tried the Campfire Brownie and my god was that the best dessert I've ever tasted. Took one bite and was more than satisfied. This recipe is immaculate and I need it. I also tried the breakfast burrito. It was pretty good. The energy is absolutely amazing. Very cozy and intimate. I felt at home.

Amazing BBQ baby back ribs "French" style with light sauce. Very pleasant quaint relaxed atmosphere. Nice Napa Merlot too. Owner is a very lovely French lady. Throw Back Thursday tonight got featuring Cooperative Effects band .. DEFINITELY a local find!!! Shhhhh don't tell a lot of folks or won't be room for me..

We stopped in after a hike in Huddart Park and were amazed to find this gem -- a little piece of Europe in Woodside. The service was excellent and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. I loved the use of seasonal fruits like huckleberries in the salad and dessert.

Roasted beet salad - it's a piece of art!

We had no idea a restaurant like this was out in Woodside. The unassuming cabin led to a rustic bar, which then led into a greenhouse room, surrounded by redwoods. Our friend and our toddler loved the views. Food itself was fantastic, everything was very well prepared and there were plenty of vegetarian options as well. I had the quail as a starter and the venison, as my entree. The quail was very well, seasoned and well cooked with very juicy and tender and flavorful meat. The crust was perfectly crispy and was flavorful as well. The venison did not taste gamey at all and was melt in your mouth tender, i really enjoyed this dish. Finally, I had the panna cotta as a dessert, which we confirmed with the restaurant was vegetarian without gelatin. Very light panna cotta without being too cloyingly sweet.I really enjoyed this one too. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals as well. And had nothing but good things to say. The prix-fixe menu was a great deal and included a muffin, appetizer, entrée, and dessert. We also had a Bloody Mary and some Brut Rosé, and both were good. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The restaurant was packed for Father's Day, with lots of families celebrating, which made for a fun atmosphere. We also loved the bar area, and after brunch we stopped by the bakery next door to pick up a few treats to take home. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that the meal felt a little rushed. We were in and out in about an hour, including drinks and dessert. Our appetizer arrived almost immediately after the muffins were dropped off, before we'd really had a chance to enjoy them. Throughout the meal, empty plates tended to sit on the table longer than expected, and courses came out very quickly one after another. That said, everyone was friendly, and the manager was especially kind and attentive. I'm sure they were doing their best to keep things moving. We'd definitely come back, but probably on a less busy day so we can relax a bit more, enjoy the patio, and take our time. Food ordered: Yucca fries on the house! 1. Plantano Fritas (4/5) I love a plantains and these were delicious and less oily than other which I appreciate! Personal preference is a I prefer a little more sweetly caramelized plantains, but I did really enjoy this. The dish comes with a white creamy sauce and a refried bean dip - both yummy and not overpowering in flavor. Papusas: Lots of flavors to choose from! And in general, for all the papusas, the papusa batter is wonderful and the porportion of filling to papusa is perfect. 2a. Calabaza Papusa - mixed cheese + zuchinni (4/5) This was the most cheesey papusa, where the cheese was the heavy lifter. I enjoyed it and every bite had a nice cheese pull too it. I would have liked to see a little more zucchini green, and for it to add to the textures. 2b. Frijol y Queso Papusa - mixed cheese + refried beans (5/5) My favorite! Can't go wrong with a bean and cheese papusa and this was so so good. I recommend this classic pairing of flavors anywhere. I was thinking about this papusa for days. 2c. Chicken Papusa - mixed cheese + chicken (5/5) This was also really good. the chicken is mixed in with the cheese, so every bite has both, which was nice. There was also a lovely seasoning which balanced all the flavors beautifully. 3. Churros: This usually comes with vanilla ice cream, and the server warned us they didn't have any in stock. We were fine with that because we love churros. When we were complete with our papusas, they served us our churros and surprised with apple slices instead of ice cream which was a lovely touch. Parking: There is no designated parking lot that we have found, but the public 2 hour parking lot 2 blocks over on Second Ave! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Comalito. The hardest hurdle is parking, but once you find the public parking lot a couple of blocks over, it was easy to find and gives you a little exercise before you eat! The hostess did, and we were pleased to see more options on their summer menu since the first time we tried RH Rooftop Restaurant previously was in the winter. My mom ordered the Peach Bellini, I ordered the Pomme Royal (non-alcoholic). In my opinion this menu does have a little something for everyone, even if you're looking for something more casual or budget-friendly. They have a gorgeous selection of salads - super hydrated and happy vegetables, beautiful presentation, very refreshing - plus familiar favorites like burgers and sandwiches - all the way to your lobster and overpriced oysters. We ended up sharing the Steak Frites (medium rare), the Lobster Roll (added caviar), as well as the Blue Fin Toro Carpaccio. The steak frites really impressed me and I could see why people all around us were ordering french fries alone - they're top tier and you can tell they're fresh cut potatoes vs. frozen. Steak was perfectly seasoned and the lump crab on top was also fresh, vs. canned. I wish there was more. Lobster roll was divine, although on the smaller side, and next time we probably won't add the caviar. The caviar alone added an extra $40 to a $36 sandwich so... yeah. The carpaccio is mouthwateringly thin and served with a lighter dusting of caviar - we wanted to order another one and flagged our server down for a second order, but it never came. Like other reviewers have mentioned, service can be slow and disjointed. We were served by 3-4 different faces and although I didn't mind that, I could see how things were lost in translation. Our cloth napkins also smelled gross (when you leave them in the washer too long) which was a huge turn-off so we asked for paper napkins to wipe our mouths. Other than that, it's a real treat to watch the sunset from the outdoor patio if you're around in time with the fireplaces turned on.

Upstairs, the restaurant sits beneath a soaring glass-and-steel atrium, surrounded by olive trees and centered around a fountain. It looks like something between a greenhouse and a designer showroom. They also have an outside area for drinks and snacks. The restaurant was packed and too loud, though, and the tables were too close together. Considering how expansive the gallery is, I wonder why a little more of that space was not given to the restaurant. Another major downside is that they do not accept walk-ins, so you need a reservation. I would choose dinner over lunch. In daylight, the sun pouring through the glass can be too much, with little protection. At night, the lights, trees, and fountain create a much more enchanting and beautiful atmosphere.
