I rode with a friend to celebrate an Htown Legend in Live Music, Marium Echo. If you have never heard of her, shame on YOU! and if you have, then you know it was already a good time to just hear her sing. Her and her band were phenomenal! Two sets from 830 to 11. I did not drink so I cannot tell you about that but I saw plenty people at the bar consistently throughout the night, so I imagine its decent. As far as space is concerned- we'll its called the Liv'n Room. It's about the size of it, Stage is is front of the bar. Two people deep could actually stand and listen to the music but thats it. Otherwise, people stand or sit on left and right of stage, but it doesn't matter when you have a great sound system and someone that can blow. Top it off, Marium and her band know how to engage the crowd with one of the guitarist playing a mean solo into the crowd. This people is live music at it finest in Houston and don't let nobody tell you different. I plan to come back VERY soon cause this was a great time- and I was home by midnight without any drama. I was invited to a friend's birthday here. I was told it was been newly renovated and was renamed. When you arrive there is a parking lot across the street that holds a few cars but if its full there is ample street parking. It is located on Old Spanish trail not far down the street from the Address. The inside has been upgraded with premium leather seating in most areas. I sat at the bar area and the service was very good as there were 2 very attractive bartenders available and the drinks were strong. Toward the rear there was an area where they have hookahs available for sale. That nite there was food setup also. The DJ kept the music flowing. Uhm.. so this was my first and last time coming here. Not my type of venue. The bartender was super nice and our drinks were very good. Hookah is $40 The venue itself sits on the corner of the block so you will most likely have to park on the street and walk a few ticks. There is a small gravel parking lot across the street that holds maybe 10 cars. It wasn't a crowd when we got there but after an hour everyone started coming in. Has potential, but just wasn't feeling it. The remodel is nice. They had a live band which is a plus, but after they left most people went to the patio or left. The crowd looks like college aged. Ok... let's dive in. I hate clubs. Well not so much hate but my days of clubbing are over. Well my sis and I stopped in here on a Sunday around 3pm. Very few ppl here at that time. The location is nice right on the corner. Very clean establishment, nice furniture and plenty seating around. The music was on point... nice and chill. We went to the bar and was served quickly by a female bartender (forgot her name) I rarely drink but the drink was perfect, she followed my directions of less alcohol perfectly. We walked to the patio facing the street, the music was different there but still a vibe! We stayed for about an hour and half just vibing to the music and scenery. By the time we left...there was nearly 50-60 ppl there. You can tell ppl love it here. I'm just an early bird and love to be home, so we left early. Will definitely come back here! my sister comes here all the time so i gave it a go on a saturday night & honestly a time was had. i'm a later 90's baby so i knew some songs but not all and still had a grand time lol. They do offer hookah and an area in the back to smoke them, otherwise seating is available to anyone up front. drinks were inexpensive and full of liquor, parking was a little sketchy but nevertheless nothing occurred out there either & it was free as well. Liv'n room Came here on Friday to celebrate a friend's birthday and I really enjoyed it. There is a parking lot right in front of the building but if it gets full you'll probably have to find street parking. The atmosphere is very cozy just like the name suggest (a living room). There were couches and seats along the walls throughout the venue and they also have an outside patio with cute fireplaces on the table. It's a little small so it can get packed pretty right when there's a lot of people but again it's a very cozy intimate vibe. They played a mix of 90's r&b and hip-hop and the crowd seemed to be a 30+ crowd. I ordered a Long Island which was reasonably priced to me at $13 and I also got my friend a Moscow mule and a margarita which were both $10 each. I enjoyed my drinks and left feeling good! I also believe I saw that they were serving food in the back area but I wasn't able to look into it much. They do serve hookah but I didn't try it so can't really speak on how it was. The parking can be a little tricky but it's free and there was no cover charge. Also the drinks were reasonably priced. The bartenders were very kind.. my only complaint is the restrooms.
