There is a large patio, and bar seating. If you go for HH no need for resy. But if you come after they likely want a resy, or you have to wait depenon the night. There's a hostess stand of course as you walk in those large doors. The vibe seems more like a place you take on a first or second date. They have small tables scattered around the bar. Theres a dress code in the evening. Not a place to take a large group to socialize or meet other people for the first time. I think they try and make it lounge-like/party with a DJ at night too. Drinks- there menu for HH includes food and drinks from 4p to 7p. The server did recommend there flatbread, but we didn't eat. I started with The Kiss, there gin drink for $7 on HH. Then moved to The Fruit of the Earth also $7, which is smokey sweet, but then went back The Kiss. The 2nd Kiss, I had to pay regular price of $17 since it was after 7p. My colleague had the $5 Espresso Tini a few times during HH, which she liked. I think the HH drinks are smaller versions of there after 7p drinks, at least it seemed that way. Both the woman and eventually male server we had were both great, friendly service. Would I return? Only if another person I was meeting suggested it and really wanted to come.

Luckily for me, about 10 minutes in, the lady next to me left so I was able to snag a seat at the bar. There are also high tops and a small patio out front. The Davenport is a pretty chill establishment, but one with a loyal following. Service (4/5): A full bar usually means service issues. There was a component of that here. It took a little while to order my drink and later to get the bartender's attention to close my tab. Given how popular The Davenport is, your experience will likely be the same. Luckily, they make up for it by going above and beyond with their cocktails. I'll get to that in a second. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet, and to be honest, while I'm not 100%, I don't think they have food. There was a guy walking around selling boudin though right when I was about to leave. Drinks (4.5/5): The Davenport is known for their martinis so that's what I recommend going with. It's a The Cheesecake Factory-type menu with 40 or so martinis to choose from. Paradox of choice situation. I ended up going with the gummy bear which was a solid cocktail, although a bit too sweet for my taste. Here's what makes Davenport next level... their martinis pack a punch. I always appreciate a stiff drink. And on top of that, they often give you more than your cocktail in a martini glass. There's usually quite a bit leftover so they'll pour that in another glass for you. Basically a drink and a half for the price of one! Given the strength of the cocktails and the quantity, it's definitely a good deal. The Davenport has been around for a while and has become a well-known spot.
