We came for lunch here because I was craving their chopped salad. It was a bonus but it's decorated up for Christmas in a Griswold family Christmas theme. This place usually has living room likes seating areas, but they will move out of the way to accommodate the large Cousin Eddie RV area. There were lots of lights everywhere and a fireplace with a large nutcracker next to the bar. It's a very clever that they added ugly Christmas sweaters to the chairs at the bar and high top tables. So cute! They also have two outdoor patios with couches and tables. We ordered a couple of cocktails off the Christmas menu. I order the "Clark's Nipply Egg Nog" and my son ordered the "It's a Good Old Fashioned Family Christmas." I didn't try his because I do not like bourbon but he reports it was very good. And I did love my eggnog drink. For food, my son ordered off of The Omelette bar. You fill out the little form check mark in exactly what you want in your omelette and what you want for the side. I ordered the chopped salad, which is what I've ordered here before and absolutely love. It comes with chopped salami and cheese which make it absolutely yummy. We arrived early by the time you left the place was starting to fill up. First time customer and will be back! Came here for happy hour and overall was a good experience. Very attentive service and I enjoyed the ambiance. Great spot for a date night or to kick it with friends. Ordered the spinach artichoke dip to start and it had a good flavor. Comes with a good portion of chips on the side. Shareable between a party of 2 (maybe 3 at most). We both ordered the wagyu chuck burger and I went with the sweet potato waffle fries. Good choice. Overall the Happy Hour drinks were good but I do think they lacked alcohol. Not sure if it's bc they were off the HH menu but they were on the lighter side. The living room is such a great spot for a date night, impromptu happy hour or just dinner and apps with the girls! We loved the vibe at the living room and will definitely be going back. We ordered many apps and entrees, wine & beverages and had a blast sitting outside on the patio. It was cozy, but shaded and everyone around us was having a great time. This is a fun place to relax and chill with a group of friends on the weekends. I used to live a few miles from this place in Chandler. We had weekend meet-ups all the time here back in their early days. I love the cozy couches and the relaxed living room decor. The Living Room has a nice wine and cocktail menu along with wood-fired pizzas, sushi rolls and shareable appetizers. They do brunch on the weekends, Whiskey Wednesdays and occasional live music. I have only been here for cocktails and like to come later hours when they are less crowded. Nice place to visit in South Chandler if you want to avoid the busy downtown area. read more

Turns out it's in the middle of a transformation, which apparently includes forgetting how to make food. Out of five orders: Two were so wrong they got sent back like bad homework. One was missing avocado, but it looked so defeated we didn't have the heart to complain. The French dip came back slathered in butter like it was prepping for a tanning session. Took two bites and surrendered. The staff was nice, but the kitchen felt like it was playing a game of "Guess That Meal." Ordered the chicken chilaquiles with a salsa verde tomatillo style salsa. Very tasty although these are not classic chilaquiles but an interpretive take from the chef on them. They are tostada shells layered with over easy eggs. The chicken was shredded and very tender and the dish was executed perfectly. For $20 the bottomless mimosas are the way to go if you have more than 3 glasses of the regular mimosas. They are nice pours. Bloody Mary was tasty as was the prime rib dip sandwich that came with au jus with a nice crunchy bread! The pepper aioli sauce that came with the sweet potato fries was delicious. Service was impeccable and our waiter was excellent, intuitive to our needs and had a great personality! The music was a downer. The guys played well but it was all sad country songs that seemed out of place for a Sunday funday brunch atmosphere we were looking for. Don't get me wrong I love Waylon Jennings and the boys but I was waiting for the one were I got a new Silverado, my girlfriend dumped me for my cousin and I ran over my dog in the driveway type melody. But the group hanging out with the band seemed to be having fun. I mean I wasn't a expecting a DJ playing Sak Noel "Loca People" but that would have been kick ass ! Had a great ladies luncheon here on Friday afternoon. We sat out on the patio around the fire pit table, which was very nice because they had the fans with missed blowing on us. We had about 12 people. Service was fantastic. The food was very good. Everyone had something different. I hadn't been to The Living Room in several years and Iso a friend and I decided to stop in last night for drinks and food, on our way to a concert at Wild Horse Pass Casino. I loved the atmosphere! The weather was perfect so all the 'garage doors' were open which gave it that indoor/outdoor feel. The table settings are pretty and the lighting is soft with great fixtures. Our 2 servers who took care of us were friendly, patient and gave great recommendations. The Skinny Margarita was tart and sweet at the same time and the dishes we shared were all tasty! Bang Bang Shrimp (could have had a little more spice, but still delicious), Chicken Pesto Flatbread (straight from their LEGIT pizza oven!) and the Meat and Cheese Board...all perfect. We were stuffed when we left! I highly recommend this place and if I lived closer to this area, I would be a regular! I was actually surprised that we got a table so easily. read more

My coworkers and I came here this week since it was near work and some of them were in town for a visit. We were hoping to catch happy hour but just missed it due to something that kept us at work. It was pretty busy because of happy hour so we had to take a couch location on the east side of the building. With the shade, fans and misters it was very nice sitting there. My coworkers all ordered cocktails and said they were pretty good. We ordered a variety of appetizers. The awesome fries with brie cheese, artichoke and spinach dip, bang bang shrimp and pepperoni pizza. The fries were good but not as good as I expected them to be. They had garlic, lemon zest, parsley, parmesan, and red pepper flakes on them. It came with a side of melty brie. There was SO much parsley that the other flavors really weren't evident on your palette. The brie was a nice touch and if not added would have taken these fries down a notch. There was also a side of ketchup and another creamy sauce that was delicious but I don't know what it was. The artichoke dip was tasty but a little runny in my opinion. It was served with tortilla chips which were tasty. The portion was small I thought. The four of us got a spoonful and it was gone after that. The bang bang shrimp was really delicious! We all agreed the shrimp were very small but the taste made up for that. It was served on a bunch of lettuce and we all thought if they serve it on that much lettuce (which was more than a garnish) there should be more sauce on the shrimp so you can eat the lettuce if you felt inclined too (kind of like a salad). The pepperoni pizza was surprisingly really good. It was probably a 10in pizza and we all got a piece and there was one left over. The atmosphere was chill and comfortable. They did have a guy playing live country music. I'm not the biggest fan of live music in really small venues like this so I felt it was way too loud to chat with my coworkers. Several of our conversations were interjecting with " Huh?" "What was that you just said?" "Sorry I can't hear you over this music." I am not trying to be a downer or a "Karen" but the music was too loud and we were outside! Our server was nice and on top of everything so kudos to her! Overall the experience was okay. Nothing about the visit blew me away but I can see how this may be perfect for some people, just not for me personally. read more

This place has great ambiance and cool seating options, with a lot of airy and outdoor space. Parking is nice and easy and their service is generally good. When they once got part of our group's order wrong, they made it right easily. I like it as a lunch place, but they also have happy hour deals. Their menu has a lot of different things going on and I'm not exactly sure what it's trying to be, but I've never ordered anything bad. I like their bruschetta, but I'd still go for Postino's or Pomo if I was craving bruschetta specifically. They also some pretty good sandwiches, which are included in the lunch special. read more

This was my first time trying this spot. I heard a lot about this place, but never came to see for myself. It's more so in the cut in the chandler area. When you walk in you stand at the entrance and wait for a host to seat you. They should add sitting areas by the entrance so you won't have to just stand up. I waited less than 2 minutes. I picked a cozy corner on the inside but right next to the outdoor patio since the weather was nice today. The first guy waiter I had wasn't that great but the woman waiter was awesome. I ordered a spiked lemonade which was good but it definitely needed more alcohol added. I did end up with 3 of those drinks and none of them were quite strong. They are not cheap; so the bartender needs to make them stronger next time ! I order the Brussels sprouts & cauliflower dish and the truffle fries. The truffle fries were good and they give you a huge portion. The cauliflower and Brussels sprouts dish was just okay. They used way too much of that tangy sauce and it kinda ruined the meal for me. I do like the cozy couches but the couches and pillows absolutely needs deep cleaning!! They were visible very dirty which isn't good. That can be a huge health concern for me as a ocd person! We stayed from 5:30-10:30 so I obviously enjoyed myself. The crowd was decent it's a lot lot of seniors that come here I can see. Would I come back? Yes. I just feel they need a more diverse menu! read more

STAY AWAY!!! Food was very average at best. Arguably the worst service I've ever had a restaurant that has somewhat decent reviews. Was hanging out with a girl and although it wasn't that busy the servers decided that they were going to shut the restaurant down early. A full hour and a half before it closes. He goes "once those customers leave we're closing." I'm sorry are we not customers? Shouldn't have tipped at all. Really not sure why I did. Then we go next door to the sports bar trophy's and they all walked in 5 minutes later closed the restaurant on paying customers so the servers could go get drunk right next door. It was the craziest thing I've seen. These servers are lucky I didn't blow the whole thing up it was a first date and I was trying to be respectful to her. Stay the fuck away from this place. And if you do go make sure you don't tip because I tipped more than enough for the rest of the entire existence of this shit establishment. Cannot emphasize enough how bad the experience was. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts & Cauliflower were by far my favorite dish! I definitely recommend it (10/10). My husband is gluten intolerant so everything we ate was gluten-free, so we were excited to have those options. Not pictured was the Chicken Pesto Flatbread on cauliflower crust (6/10) and the Flourless Chocolate Cake with Raspberry drizzle and vanilla ice cream (9/10). We also went for Whiskey Wednesday and the live music; we both had our go-to drink, Old Fashions with Makers Mark, which was 1/2 off. They were great!! My wife and I decided to stop at The Living Room after church. We visited the location in Chandler. It was a rather slow time and we were immediately seated. There was a live performance happening at the time and they were very good. She ordered her usual, Bang, Bang, Shrimp. I had the pepperoni flat bread with a side order of fruit and side order of ham. We both had a spicy Bloody Marys. The atmosphere was very warming, and our service was spot on. Overall, I would say that this was a very satisfying and good dining experience. If I was to critique one thing that I was disappointed about would be the fresh fruit that I was served. First off it is supposed to be fresh and that was not the case. The presentation was executed poorly due to the lack of color; mostly melons and pineapple that appeared to be sitting quite a while because they were dry. All of it was dry and I did not finish it. Bummer. Had the fruit been fresh and colorful I would have given them a 5 star rating. We will return at some point and time again. I had some great pictures to post of our meals but every time that I try to post pics it will not because it says that the pic files are too large to post. Stopped in for a happy hour on a Wednesday evening. I love the ambience. The lighting was dim and the seats were comfortable. On this particular evening, we got lucky and had live entertainment. There were three in our party. We started out with Cabernet Savignon. Our second glass shortly followed. We decided to take advantage of the happy hour menu. We ordered a spicy tuna roll and a california roll, which were excellent. One of our guests ordered the pesto salmon which she very much enjoyed. Our server-hostess was super friendly and checked on us frequently to refill drinks. My pizza was a touch dry, which a friend who ate with me had hers redone with no problems. My husband and I stopped in for happy hour on a random Thursday. It wasn't terribly crowded, so we had no problem finding a seat. The staff was very attentive. We had two different servers (both very friendly) checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. We each ordered a flatbread (one pepperoni and one pesto) and then decided we needed a giant pretzel in our lives afterwards. The pretzel was served with three different mustards. This review is probably the most touching review that I've ever wrote. Decided to go here after church with my family. We picked this place because we have gone here a few times and it's on our way home. The place was rather empty on a Sunday which was a plus for us because we didn't really want to be somewhere crowded for Sunday brunch. There was 2 people with a child, and on the other side of the restaurant, a party of 3 and then us a party of 8 (5 adults 2 older children & a 10 month old). While we waited for our orders to arrive my baby nephew began cooing and babbling and some whining as babies do. A waitress came over, and very rudely said to my sister to make the baby be quiet as to not disturb other customers. I was absolutely speechless at her lack of empathy, compassion & knowledge, and not to mention customer service skills. To think that a 10 month old baby could just be told to shut up like he has a mute button is absurd. To be singled out in a public restaurant that claims to promote a family, friendly environment and told to quiet my 10 month old nephew is outrageous and disheartening. There was another child in the restaurant that was screaming and crying and yet the waitress did not tell that family anything however they were of a different hue than us and i hate to feel that racism was at play but it was pretty impossible to not feel it. However Parents of young children are often hesitant when going out to restaurants with their children for fear of being judged, and or ridiculed like this. My sister, a new mother was mortified to the point of tears. She felt overwhelmed by the disrespect inflicted upon her by this waitress. The manager was called over and offered a dry, empty half thoughtout apology, the waitress hid. What makes the experience of the other customers in that restaurant more valuable than ours? how exactly does one make a 10 month old shut up? Babies cry , it happens , and in a public space promoting a family atmosphere , you would think it would be a non issue. We ended up leaving and going over to thirsty lion where the service was superb. When my nephew started having a fit, the waitress offered orange slices or crackers to try to help, while my sister tried to calm him, and we all said in unison, that is how you handle a customer with a fussy baby. I will never go to this establishment again. I refuse to pay someone to be treated so rudely. The behavior of the waitress and the manager was absolutely deplorable. We were made to feel as we were an irritating inconvenience and not as paying customers. It's really disheartening as a new mother it's already a struggle to get up the energy to even go out and enjoy a meal and it's even more demoralizing to be shammed for your baby simply being a baby while out trying to have that meal. What a damn good time you are destined to have while visiting "The Living Room" for brunch. No joke! The really good: Bottomless Mimosa price. It's $12 bucks with 1 cent refills. The seating arrangements for a large group is amazing. Because the restaurant is so open, it's more than enough space to accommodate a large party. There were 20 women in my party. We were seated outside in the patio area (located in the front of the restaurant). When it got a little too hot we were able to close the drapes so that was perfect! The Good: Service was exceptional! Our servers Nicole and Kathy were so attentive to us and VERY patient. I realized I like my mimosas with champagne instead of sparkling wine. The Living Room makes their mimosas with sparking wine .. Just an FYI. The food is good but not great .. far from great. Which leads me to the Bad. The bad: We had a party of 20. 4 of us had to send our food back for replacements. Either the hash browns were brunt or overcooked. So much so that you could pick your entire side portion of hashbrowns up with your hands and it wouldn't fall apart. It looked like a crispy, brown piece of something. When they sent out new ones, they were great. So that's a plus. One person had to send her French toast back because it was brunt. Honestly, it looked more like toasted bagels vs. French toast (see the pics). 2 other people received a hard fried egg when they ordered scrambled eggs. This was the kitchen's fault, not the server so we understood. We all agreed we would totally return to The Living Room for brunch again, knowing what to except with the food this time. read more
