Everyone at our table of 9 people enjoyed their food, however when it came time to pay, our waiter told us he could only accept a maximum of 4 credit cards from our table. Now that's a very ODD policy. Some people had 2 or 3 drinks, some had none. Some had just a salad, some had a full meal. How in the world do you split a bill fairly when our dinners/drinks were all so different. This policy of only taking 4 credit cards for a larger party left us with a bit of a bad impression of Hidden House. Could a manager please look into this? read more

My husband and I recently visited The Hidden House on a Thursday afternoon, arriving around 4:30 PM. What a charming find! The location has a quaint, house-style feel with beautifully manicured grounds. The large doors were open, allowing a lovely breeze to flow through, a welcomed touch. There's also a convenient parking lot right next door, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant offers a variety of seating options: outside patio, high-top outdoor seating, inside bar seating, and traditional indoor dining. We arrived in that sweet spot between lunch and happy hour, so the restaurant was quiet and relaxed, exactly how we like it. Drinks My Blue Hawaiian ($15) was absolutely amazing, it really hit the spot, and I was still feeling great when we left! My husband ordered the Pizza Port Chronic ($5) and said it was a nice, refreshing change of pace. Our Server Andrew Andrew greeted us immediately, walked us through both the food and drink menus, and was genuinely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He was the highlight of our visit. Exceptional service. Appetizer Butter Board & Bread We started with the Butter Board ($14), served with toasted bread. The butter itself, whipped with ricotta, herbs, and what I believe was a honey drizzle, was absolutely delicious. My only note is that the bread edges were toasted a bit too dark for my taste, leaving a slightly burnt crust flavor and aroma. Entrées I ordered the Seared Scallops ($48), which were plated with white potatoes, purple potatoes (possibly ube), and sausage over a rich sauce. Unfortunately, the purple potatoes had a burnt taste that was off-putting, and I wasn't able to finish much of my meal. My husband, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoyed his Grilled Striped Bass ($48), beautifully plated and well-executed. Final Thoughts While my entree missed the mark this visit, Andrew's outstanding service and the overall ambience more than carried the experience. The space is gorgeous, the concept is lovely, and I can absolutely see returning when the seasonal menu refreshes. In my opinion, it's worth a second chance, we will be back. read more

We came for a birthday celebration lunch. Sat inside but their outdoor space is beautiful and shaded. I asked if their outdoor area was dog friendly and was told it is not. Our reserved table was ready when we arrived and our server, Jackson, was great. Friendly and helpful, especially for those who wanted to order drinks. My wife order the Penicillin and liked it so much, she ordered a second one! This was a Jackson recommendation and although she isn't a big whisky drinker she loved the honey, lemon and ginger tones. One person ordered the Ramos Gin Fizz, which takes about 15-20 minutes to get because apparently it's shaken for that long! She said it was ok but has had better. Others had wine and beer and I opted for the fine vintage of water sans lemon! For starters I had the loaded house salad and it was good but once again, being the picky lettuce person I am...there was some of the salad that was just to wet and slimy for me. Loved the dressing and the addition of the pepitas to add crunch. I also order the crab cake, which was actually pretty good. Loved the Lemon Aioli! The cake itself was a tad over browned but full of crab and lovely tasting. Wife decided to get the BLT which was really good. Their bacon was cooked just right and served on sourdough toast with lettuce and tomato and what they call a tomato crema that was very good. Overall a really good sandwich. That came with some crispy, tender fries which were so good! Others ordered the double burger, which also comes with their fries and the Chicken Bacon Hoagie, which she said was a lot of bread...it's a hoagie!!! Popped in for happy hour -- entering through the patio made it a bit unclear that the hostess desk is inside, which led to a delay in getting service. Once things got going, though, the service was very good and attentive. Tried the burger and fries -- both were tasty -- and the cocktails and wine were well done. Absolutely beautiful venue. The patio is gorgeous as well as the inside. The staff here were phenomenal. I got a Cosmo to drink. It was delicious. For the table we shared popcorn, shrimp, the brussels sprouts, and the crab-cakes. All of the appetizers were absolutely scrumptious. This was actually my favorite part of the meal. I ordered the salmon for my main course I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars. Could have been a bit more crispy and had a decent amount of dark meat. My colleague had the scallops said they were divine. Overall I had a really wonderful time here. Delightful little spot in downtown Chandler. If you're coming here though please do make sure to give yourself some time to park. Parking in this area could be pretty tricky. We came in for lunch with a group of six. It's a very cute restaurant with a beautiful outdoor seating area surrounded by trees and shade umbrellas. Tucked away from behind an outdoor mall and a block from Arizona Avenue, you don't hear the noise from the busy street which is nice. If you can find street parking that is a plus, otherwise you are jammed into a small parking lot that can be tough to get in and out with all the cars. Unfortunately the trees were dropping these little leaves everywhere so we had a few extra treats in our drinks and food. However, it was nice under the shaded trees as it was warm out. I didn't catch our servers name but she was very good. Never left us waiting. We all ordered cocktails & beer. I had an Aperol sprits which was not too sweet, just the way I like it. For lunch we ordered the BLT, Duck Melt, Korean BBQ Short Rib Hoagie, Double burger and Turkey melt. Everyone said they enjoyed their meals. Everything came with house fries. We were celebrating a birthday so our server brought an Oreo Brownie for the table. It was pretty good. Oreo Whipped Cream, Abuelita Brownie, Chocolate Syrup, Chocolate Shaving. What a pleasant surprise to come here tonight and see a girlfriend for the holidays and catch up! This is a really pretty restaurant, classy and elegant and great for a date or a meaningful dinner. We came here for 7pm dinner on a Thursday and this place was jam packed. They were also having a wedding party in the back (I guess people do have weddings on Thursdays - wow). It would have been lovely to sit outside but everything was taken so we sat inside, which was also pretty nice, but outside was better. Definitely make a reservation if you want that prime outdoor seating. Waiter was excellent, came at the right times, very professional and did his job right. I had a kiwi cocktail which had a kick to it and it was great! Sort of like a margarita, but much better! My girlfriend and I shared some appetizers tapas style as neither of us were hungry enough to get entrees. We have the charred Brussel sprouts, the wagyu albondigas (meatballs) and the feta puffs. All were really amazing! The price point here is a bit higher, but well worth it as the food and service were excellent and the ambiance elegant yet cozy. For dessert, we shared the amaretto cheesecake and it was delicious and I dont even like amaretto that much! Overall, an excellent dining experience. My only gripe is that parking is a challenge around here during prime time but that just means you'll get more of your steps in! Definitely check this place out for fine dining! The space feels more like an event venue than a traditional restaurant, which gives it a unique and elegant vibe. The menu was simple, and both the food and drinks were good. However, more than half of the restaurant was closed due to private events, so the small number of guests (including us) were seated in what felt like a smaller side venue with a live musician playing. While the music was nice, the setup made the experience feel a bit off and less relaxed. Unfortunately, service also impacted our visit. Our server hovered quite a bit, and we felt rushed when the bill was placed on the table before we were even finished with our drinks. This spot really felt hidden as you go deeper into the restaurant and see that it actually had lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating had heaters too. I ordered the chili-ribeye with crab chimichurri. It was very good but pretty fatty. The serving size was huge though and the potatoes and vegetables had the best flavor. I also tried the espresso filet mignon which was the best. Super tender and melted in your mouth. Our appetizer was a butter board which was delicious. We could not get enough of the bread and sweet butter with seasonings. Dessert was yummy as well. We got the Oreo brownie which had a great spice flavor and is cold lot hot. We started with a couple apps; gordito & butter board - I'd highly recommend (supposedly butterboard is their mistake popular), but the gordito was one of the best street tacos I've ever had. For entrees, i had the pork chop and (again), the best I've ever had - tender, juice and flavorful. That pork chop over the carrots puree was OUTSTANDING. Our group also had the filet (and loved it), the salmon (one of their most popular) and a crab cake + salad. The crab cake was excellent but the salad was "not super tasty". My husband and I have been wanting to go to Hidden House for months now, so we hopped in today for lunch. Sadly, there were no vegetarian-friendly options, which is so rare nowadays in 2026! We asked our server if any of the salads or main courses could be modified and she was unhelpful. Great selection of appetizers salads and a good mix of entrees ranging from sandwiches to higher end selections of tasty proteins and veggies. Today I had the wagyu meatball sub, now I'm the first guy to say that wagyu ceases to become what the price commands when you grind it and turn it into meatballs or whatever. However this is one of the better meatball subs I've had. Fresh, crispy fries and a side of their ranch that can't be missed (filled with tasty cheese and tarragon?!). So good! Impressive selection of wines, beers and an extensive list of cocktails that shouldn't be missed. Always pretty easy to get a table. A little off the beaten path, but an elegant dinner location. I was dining alone and probably should have requested a different table instead of one right next to a really big party. But I didn't say anything, so no one to blame but me. I started with a lovely cocktail, and based on that, I might have been happier at the bar. Service is fine, though my entrée came out before I was halfway through my appetizer. I think my server was embarrassed because he avoided my table for a little bit after my entrée came out. We recently came back again for more of the goodness that The Hidden House has to offer. We came in for the last 30 minutes of happy hour so we couldn't make reservations which unfortunately, meant we had to grab a table out on the patio. At least we were able get a table in the shade but it wasn't near a mister so we were a little warm... We were able to order a few happy hour specials which we enjoyed very much! The pork carnitas Gorditas had a nice spicy heat which we really enjoyed! The double burger was a very generous size and the fries were plentiful which made it easy to share. The menu changes a little from time to time so we'll have to come back sooner than later so I can try the duck confit Alfredo. Our excellent server (I'm sorry I forgot his name) was very attentive which helped us make sure we got the happy hour special pricing for our orders. There is parking in the adjacent lot with some street parking also available. There are also several parking garages that are a short walk to the restaurant in case you have some time to also shop. We definitely enjoy the food and service here so I hope others come out to give them a try! read more

We arrived after 5 on a Tuesday evening for our 36th anniversary. The entry to the place is very inviting. We were escorted through the first dining room to the courtyard in the center of the location. We were greeted by a very nice young lady. She was very cheerful and ready to help. We ordered two craft cocktails and our drinks came out and one of them were the wrong drink. Then after several minutes another set of drinks came out. The right ones arrived. Found this place on IG and we loved it! My husband and I came here for our 19th anniversary and had the best time. The filet mignon and sea bass were so good. Cooked perfectly. One of my favorite restaurants. They have a rotating seasonal menu that changes every 4 months, so going to Hidden House is always a new adventure. Enjoy lunch on the front patio before a show at CCA. A beautiful January afternoon prefect to dine alfresco! We share the Crab Cake appetizer. The cake included herbs, pepitas, lightly pan fried and not greasy. Sweet blue crab was fresh, the cake had a nice crust and tender center. We both enjoyed the King Salmon as our main which was fresh and clean tasting. Very nicely sheared accompanied by a coconut cream sauce, roasted radishes, shaved celery cucumber salad. Finished with a drizzle of EVOO. First time having roasted radishes, delicious! I be trying it at home. We complemented our meal with a refreshing draft beer. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Pro tip: Best to make reservations with any special requests. My daughter told me about this place about a month ago finally got a chance to go over. The place is tucked away in downtown Chandler. Very nice outdoor sitting area in the front and the back, dining room is not that big but it is nice. Atmosphere of the whole place was really pleasant. The staff was great And the service was top-tier. We had a couple of cocktails that were very good and tried a few different entrees . Everything was very good. I would highly recommend if you're in the area you stop by it's a great lunch spot. Parking lot is not big, but it can fill up quick and then you are left to find a street parking which around lunchtime is not the easiest. We hadn't been to The Hidden House in years and had our first date night out since having our second child... I was craving short ribs (I remember loving them here!) so we decided to go back to The Hidden House for our special dinner date night. Our waiter was super nice, the ambiance is always romantic, but we couldn't help but be a little bummed that the menu seemed to have changed quite a bit since we were last there. I can't eat spicy foods and the short rib entree now has spicy peppers in it and they can't be removed definitely sad and had to bury my craving for short ribs. My dining experience here was delightful. The mood here is very tranquil and very refreshing if you're in need of peace while dining. The staff was friendly and my waiter was super cool. Offering recommendations and descriptions of menu items. I tried the shrimp skewers which was beautifully presented and was very delicious. The andouille sausage was great with the shrimp and gumbo sauce. Very easy to eat and enjoy. I really appreciate the openness of the restaurant. The patio is in the front which I think is really different and cool. Inside dining is not closed off with a wall, but more of a continuation of the outside as you walk though from the patio. We've been here before and every time we've come it has been great. We were able to get a last minute reservation and were seated immediately when we walked in. This place has a bar and very large front yard with seating, but it was closed to the public for a rehearsal dinner. It looks so pretty at night with string lights. We walked around to the side to enter the restaurant. There's also a small indoor dining room, and then a completely covered back patio which goes right into the back dining room - - they are divided by large roll up doors. There's a stage at the back, and every time we've been here there's been live music. Hubby had to cut the alcohol to prepare for surgery, but I didn't so I had my favorite, and amaretto sour. It was a little different than most amaretto sours in that it tasted a little lemony. I liked it. Like many chef-driven restaurants, the menu here changes often. It was hard to decide, but we ended up with the scallops served with baby potatoes and shrimp, and the steelhead which was served with really delicious rice and a red pepper sauce. I was able to cross not just one, but two things off my list. First, I've had The Hidden House as a "must visit" for sometime now (completed) AND ever since I was 4yrs old I've wanted to try frog legs (completed)!! Fun fact: I saw the Muppet Movie when it came out in 1979 (I was 4). I always thought "Man, the mean guy wants to catch Kermit to eat his legs....he seems really determined if he's following him across the country. Frog legs must taste great. I need to know! " I finally got my confirmation :) I loved the ambience of this place. All the twinkling lights and outside patio seating was super pretty. Seating inside the house was also great. The waiter was very helpful and the service all around was exceptional. Great spot for a date, nice business dinner or any occasion really. Started off with the frog legs, which were great...kinda like a juicy chicken wing. I went with the Duck Confit Mushroom Alfredo, which was good. I'd probably get something else next time. I also got a side of mac & cheese...was a little disappointed in it unfortunately, just not very creamy...I should have gone with the brussel sprouts.
