We had our wedding at Hidden House, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience. The venue is absolutely beautiful and created the perfect setting for our special day. The staff was wonderful from beginning to end, and we especially want to recognize Katia. She was incredible throughout the planning process, helped relieve so much of our stress, and made sure everything came together flawlessly. She did an amazing job decorating, and everything was even more beautiful than we imagined. The food was absolutely delicious! We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing everything tasted, which is something people are still talking about. Staff even accommodated our son (who is 4) and made a small kids burger with fries. We are so grateful to the entire Hidden House team for making our wedding day so special and memorable. Came with a small group of friends for dinner. We had reservations and when we first walked in we noticed how warm it was...hostess said their air wasn't working but it was working fine in the back dining area and she was right...much cooler! We love this little gem! There are two wonderful outdoor patios, obviously not for summer seating but during our nice weather, beautiful! Wife had a Blue Hawaiian and said it was flavorful and perfect except a bit less ice would make it better. We decided to share a meal tonight so started with their Loaded House Salad, which they split for us. We loved this salad! Their tarragon ranch dressing was perfect with the mixed greens, the grape tomatoes, pepitas, and bacon crumbles...such a good salad! We shared their popular short ribs (they charged $2 for plate share) which were cooked to tender perfection and served over a creamy white bean puree. Delicious for sure! We finished with some of their Black Forest Cake which was the bomb! Some friends of ours were kind enough to send us a gift card to celebrate a special occasion. I had been here once before but it had been a while. The evening in ambiance was very nice, perfect for a romantic date. There's a second building between the front and the courtyard that's very open and inviting. We shared the pimento cheese dip with chicharrones and the sauce was so good we wrote down the description to try to make it ourselves later. I had the King salmon and my partner had the crab linguine. The crab was delectable, highly recommend. The salmon was good but a little on the dry side. For dessert we were too full to have anything rich so we went with the banana cream tart. Definitely a good option to try! It was delicious but light enough to eat after a big dinner. read more

Popped in for happy hour -- entering through the patio made it a bit unclear that the hostess desk is inside, which led to a delay in getting service. My husband and I recently visited The Hidden House on a Thursday afternoon, arriving around 4:30 PM. What a charming find! The location has a quaint, house-style feel with beautifully manicured grounds. The large doors were open, allowing a lovely breeze to flow through, a welcomed touch. There's also a convenient parking lot right next door, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant offers a variety of seating options: outside patio, high-top outdoor seating, inside bar seating, and traditional indoor dining. We arrived in that sweet spot between lunch and happy hour, so the restaurant was quiet and relaxed, exactly how we like it. Drinks My Blue Hawaiian ($15) was absolutely amazing, it really hit the spot, and I was still feeling great when we left! My husband ordered the Pizza Port Chronic ($5) and said it was a nice, refreshing change of pace. Our Server Andrew Andrew greeted us immediately, walked us through both the food and drink menus, and was genuinely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He was the highlight of our visit. Exceptional service. Appetizer Butter Board & Bread We started with the Butter Board ($14), served with toasted bread. The butter itself, whipped with ricotta, herbs, and what I believe was a honey drizzle, was absolutely delicious. My only note is that the bread edges were toasted a bit too dark for my taste, leaving a slightly burnt crust flavor and aroma. Entrées I ordered the Seared Scallops ($48), which were plated with white potatoes, purple potatoes (possibly ube), and sausage over a rich sauce. Unfortunately, the purple potatoes had a burnt taste that was off-putting, and I wasn't able to finish much of my meal. My husband, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoyed his Grilled Striped Bass ($48), beautifully plated and well-executed. Final Thoughts While my entree missed the mark this visit, Andrew's outstanding service and the overall ambience more than carried the experience. The space is gorgeous, the concept is lovely, and I can absolutely see returning when the seasonal menu refreshes. In my opinion, it's worth a second chance, we will be back. read more

Our service was amazing. We got there during happy hour a little after 4:30. Our server was a doll. I am so upset I forgot her name but she's from Alabama, and she was so good. She checked on us repeatedly. We had yummy drinks. Bananas foster old fashioned and passion fruit margaritas. My friend and I split salad from happy hour and the smash burger. I'm glad I went back, this time with a friend for lunch, because it was a lovely meal. Our server was delightful. We sat outside on the partially enclosed patio, which had just enough protection from the elements to make it more comfortable. The drinks were top-notch. I repeated the fried frog's legs, and I liked the presentation better the second time: having the shaved celery salad on the side rather than on top preserved its crispiness. We got extra anchovies for the salad, so we didn't have to fight over them; a nice salty contrast to the crisp salad. The mac and cheese also had a nice textural element from the toasted panko. We came in for lunch with a group of six. It's a very cute restaurant with a beautiful outdoor seating area surrounded by trees and shade umbrellas. Tucked away from behind an outdoor mall and a block from Arizona Avenue, you don't hear the noise from the busy street which is nice. If you can find street parking that is a plus, otherwise you are jammed into a small parking lot that can be tough to get in and out with all the cars. Unfortunately the trees were dropping these little leaves everywhere so we had a few extra treats in our drinks and food. However, it was nice under the shaded trees as it was warm out. I didn't catch our servers name but she was very good. Never left us waiting. We all ordered cocktails & beer. I had an Aperol sprits which was not too sweet, just the way I like it. For lunch we ordered the BLT, Duck Melt, Korean BBQ Short Rib Hoagie, Double burger and Turkey melt. Everyone said they enjoyed their meals. Everything came with house fries. We were celebrating a birthday so our server brought an Oreo Brownie for the table. It was pretty good. Oreo Whipped Cream, Abuelita Brownie, Chocolate Syrup, Chocolate Shaving. What a pleasant surprise to come here tonight and see a girlfriend for the holidays and catch up! This is a really pretty restaurant, classy and elegant and great for a date or a meaningful dinner. We came here for 7pm dinner on a Thursday and this place was jam packed. They were also having a wedding party in the back (I guess people do have weddings on Thursdays - wow). It would have been lovely to sit outside but everything was taken so we sat inside, which was also pretty nice, but outside was better. Definitely make a reservation if you want that prime outdoor seating. Waiter was excellent, came at the right times, very professional and did his job right. I had a kiwi cocktail which had a kick to it and it was great! Sort of like a margarita, but much better! My girlfriend and I shared some appetizers tapas style as neither of us were hungry enough to get entrees. We have the charred Brussel sprouts, the wagyu albondigas (meatballs) and the feta puffs. All were really amazing! The price point here is a bit higher, but well worth it as the food and service were excellent and the ambiance elegant yet cozy. For dessert, we shared the amaretto cheesecake and it was delicious and I dont even like amaretto that much! Overall, an excellent dining experience. My only gripe is that parking is a challenge around here during prime time but that just means you'll get more of your steps in! Definitely check this place out for fine dining! Beautiful restaurant tucked away in downtown Chandler, right next to Maple House... maybe that's what inspired the name! The space feels more like an event venue than a traditional restaurant, which gives it a unique and elegant vibe. The menu was simple, and both the food and drinks were good. However, more than half of the restaurant was closed due to private events, so the small number of guests (including us) were seated in what felt like a smaller side venue with a live musician playing. While the music was nice, the setup made the experience feel a bit off and less relaxed. Unfortunately, service also impacted our visit. Our server hovered quite a bit, and we felt rushed when the bill was placed on the table before we were even finished with our drinks. For the table we shared popcorn, shrimp, the brussels sprouts, and the crab-cakes. All of the appetizers were absolutely scrumptious. This was actually my favorite part of the meal. I ordered the salmon for my main course I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars. Could have been a bit more crispy and had a decent amount of dark meat. My colleague had the scallops said they were divine. Overall I had a really wonderful time here. Delightful little spot in downtown Chandler. If you're coming here though please do make sure to give yourself some time to park. Parking in this area could be pretty tricky. This local restaurant is absolutely adorable and full of charm. We sat outside on the patio for lunch and it was quite beautiful, with lots of white brick, sunlight, and flowers. We were seated almost immediately and our waitress was very attentive and so nice!! I was pleasantly surprised by the Asian-influenced dishes on the menu. I ordered the wagyu burger, while my friend went with the Korean BBQ hoagie. My wagyu burger was flavorful but my only critique would be the bread - it was a bit harder than I'd prefer and almost had a cracker-like texture. Not a dealbreaker, but something that stood out. The fries were pretty standard, nothing bad, just nothing particularly memorable either. This spot really felt hidden as you go deeper into the restaurant and see that it actually had lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating had heaters too. I ordered the chili-ribeye with crab chimichurri. It was very good but pretty fatty. The serving size was huge though and the potatoes and vegetables had the best flavor. I also tried the espresso filet mignon which was the best. Super tender and melted in your mouth. Our appetizer was a butter board which was delicious. We could not get enough of the bread and sweet butter with seasonings. Dessert was yummy as well. We got the Oreo brownie which had a great spice flavor and is cold lot hot. WOW! This place is a "hidden gem!". My wife and I took my daughter and her husband for her birthday and she couldn't have picked a better place. Ambiance (outdoor seating) is amazing. Service was phenominal. Food, just UNBELIEVABLE. We started with a couple apps; gordito & butter board - I'd highly recommend (supposedly butterboard is their mistake popular), but the gordito was one of the best street tacos I've ever had. For entrees, i had the pork chop and (again), the best I've ever had - tender, juice and flavorful. That pork chop over the carrots puree was OUTSTANDING. Our group also had the filet (and loved it), the salmon (one of their most popular) and a crab cake + salad. The crab cake was excellent but the salad was "not super tasty". Overall, easy 5 star +++ that I'd not only highly recommend, but also take other to again. read more

We ordered a few mocktails, and they were all excellent! The house salad with homemade ranch was delicious, and the dressing perfectly coated the greens. The Hidden House has been a favorite of ours for a long time. Tucked out of the way in downtown Chandler, always great service and great food. Great selection of appetizers salads and a good mix of entrees ranging from sandwiches to higher end selections of tasty proteins and veggies. Today I had the wagyu meatball sub, now I'm the first guy to say that wagyu ceases to become what the price commands when you grind it and turn it into meatballs or whatever. However this is one of the better meatball subs I've had. Fresh, crispy fries and a side of their ranch that can't be missed (filled with tasty cheese and tarragon?!). So good! I've dined at Hidden House twice before and have always enjoyed both the food and the service, which is why this most recent experience on July 15 was so disappointing. We arrived a little early for our reservation, so we had a couple of drinks at the bar. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. After closing out our tab, the hostess seated us for dinner. Unfortunately, that's where the experience went downhill. We were seated in the stage area of the second dining room, where there were only four tables. Despite being seated for approximately 20 minutes, no one greeted us, offered us water, or even acknowledged that we were there. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the server assigned to our section checked on the table next to us three separate times without once turning around to acknowledge us or let us know they would be with us shortly. After waiting 20 minutes without any service or communication, we decided to leave and have dinner elsewhere. We ended up at Cuisine & Wine Bistro, where we were promptly welcomed and had a great dining experience. I know Hidden House is capable of providing excellent food and service because I've experienced it before. That's what made this visit so disappointing. I hope this was an isolated incident, but no guest should be left sitting for 20 minutes without even a simple greeting or glass of water. read more

We recently came back again for more of the goodness that The Hidden House has to offer. We came in for the last 30 minutes of happy hour so we couldn't make reservations which unfortunately, meant we had to grab a table out on the patio. At least we were able get a table in the shade but it wasn't near a mister so we were a little warm... We were able to order a few happy hour specials which we enjoyed very much! The pork carnitas Gorditas had a nice spicy heat which we really enjoyed! The double burger was a very generous size and the fries were plentiful which made it easy to share. The menu changes a little from time to time so we'll have to come back sooner than later so I can try the duck confit Alfredo. Our excellent server (I'm sorry I forgot his name) was very attentive which helped us make sure we got the happy hour special pricing for our orders. There is parking in the adjacent lot with some street parking also available. There are also several parking garages that are a short walk to the restaurant in case you have some time to also shop. We definitely enjoy the food and service here so I hope others come out to give them a try! read more

We arrived after 5 on a Tuesday evening for our 36th anniversary. The entry to the place is very inviting. We were escorted through the first dining room to the courtyard in the center of the location. We were greeted by a very nice young lady. She was very cheerful and ready to help. We ordered two craft cocktails and our drinks came out and one of them were the wrong drink. Then after several minutes another set of drinks came out. The right ones arrived. The appetizer we had were the meatballs and they were delicious. Nice but strong garlic flavor with marinara. My husband had the ribeye steak and I had the beef rogue. Both were very good. Found this place on IG and we loved it! My husband and I came here for our 19th anniversary and had the best time. The filet mignon and sea bass were so good. Cooked perfectly. The butter board is my new favorite appetizer and the Mac and cheese was so flavorful. We also got the boozy peaches cheesecake and it was sooooo good. We hadn't been to The Hidden House in years and had our first date night out since having our second child... I was craving short ribs (I remember loving them here!) so we decided to go back to The Hidden House for our special dinner date night. Our waiter was super nice, the ambiance is always romantic, but we couldn't help but be a little bummed that the menu seemed to have changed quite a bit since we were last there. I can't eat spicy foods and the short rib entree now has spicy peppers in it and they can't be removed definitely sad and had to bury my craving for short ribs. My daughter told me about this place about a month ago finally got a chance to go over. The place is tucked away in downtown Chandler. Very nice outdoor sitting area in the front and the back, dining room is not that big but it is nice. Atmosphere of the whole place was really pleasant. The staff was great And the service was top-tier. We had a couple of cocktails that were very good and tried a few different entrees . Everything was very good. I would highly recommend if you're in the area you stop by it's a great lunch spot. Parking lot is not big, but it can fill up quick and then you are left to find a street parking which around lunchtime is not the easiest. My dining experience here was delightful. The mood here is very tranquil and very refreshing if you're in need of peace while dining. The staff was friendly and my waiter was super cool. Offering recommendations and descriptions of menu items. I tried the shrimp skewers which was beautifully presented and was very delicious. The andouille sausage was great with the shrimp and gumbo sauce. Very easy to eat and enjoy. I really appreciate the openness of the restaurant. The patio is in the front which I think is really different and cool. Inside dining is not closed off with a wall, but more of a continuation of the outside as you walk though from the patio.
