The inside is a dark, intimate setting with a variety of different types of seating options which was cool. There is also an outside patio. Service was excellent throughout our visit. Loved being able to make a reservation online. They have a ton of drink choices. The cocktails were delicious and very well made. We also order a half order of bruschetta. First time was fine, this time, we ordered the asparagus appetizer and unfortunately, they were not trimmed properly and we could only eat the top half, the bottom half were extremely fibrous and inedible - I'd expect much better for an $18 dish. we've been here twice. the upscale feel and friendly staff make it that much better. so chill. not too loud where you can't have a conversation. Hubbs really enjoyed the old fashioned. the watermelon mojito was okay... a tad sweet for me; reminded me of sneaking around in my youth and sneaking watermelon pucker... however I tried Cantina La Vis D'Avola and it was lovely (great recommendation from one of the staff) just the right amount of sweet and not dry. We had the meatball skewers which was enjoyable; I personally really liked the sauce. we also had the pepperoni flatbread. which was better than the meatballs. the sauce was so good, the crust was crispy, but dough was soft under the cheese and the pepperoni was cooked so nicely. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go. They have the most amazing frolini. But I ordered the rosé and the peach Bellini separately that's frozen and it is absolutely to die for. I love their garlic evoo pasta, their wide variety of bruschetta and their crème brûlée is the bomb. I eat here at least once a week. The service is always great. They always go above and beyond they brought me a bunch of peach rings the other day for my frolini and the ambience is so cute inside I love all they're saying and the lighting and the booths. Definitely one of my favorite places to go to in downtown Chandler hands-down. I also love their grilled cheesy. One of our favorite spots! When our kids visit from Fort Worth, TX we bring them here! We love the Zesty Coconut Salad, and I love The Prime Panini, but I order it with a side of au jus! That takes it over the top!! I gave it only four stars this time because the waitresses seem to be more interested in talking to the gentleman at the bar then they were in taking my order. I had to interrupt her conversation and ask her to take my drink order. I've also have been sitting here for a while and no one has come to check on me to see if I'm ready for my bill. I visited BlackSheep last weekend in a string of stops in Downtown Chandler to celebrate a birthday. This was my not first time visiting, I have been a few times and loved it each time. The vibes are immaculate, sleek and moody. I do forget our servers name, he was a blond gentlemen, but very nice and helpful with suggestions. He even brought my partner a birthday shot. We both ordered the Frozen Peach Bellini which was absolutely refreshing for a warm-ish day. The chilled tequila shots were also great!! Black sheep has been one of my favorites for the last five years. They have great ambience always very friendly and quick staff. I love coming here for happy hour, although unfortunately recently they did raise. The prices of wine is now eight dollars a glass instead of six on hh a little bit, disappointed in this the snackablz also went up in price. Love the bruschetta here it's scrumptious. I had a few of the dessert ones with the ricotta and the prosciutto goat cheese and fig had a great evening here will continue to come back again and again. read more

This place is set up super nice. I really enjoyed the high top table we were at. We shared the "Pom Diggity." The pomegranate made this salad POP. It was delicious. Outdoor seating is available when the weather is nicer. BlackSheep has A LOT of food and drink options. I think brunch was still going on, and there were four different menus when we arrived which felt a little overwhelming but it's good to have options! Maggie was our waitress and did a good job taking care of us. We all ordered food and drinks. I chose the hummus platter which was just ok, the flavor was kind of bland and boring. The fresh vegetables were all delicious though. I probably wouldn't recommend it or order again. Everyone else really enjoyed the food they got, so I think I'll choose something else next time. I did like the drink I ordered which I can't remember the name of. It was some kind of latte with some liqueur in it! I made a dinner reservation for a party of nine at BlackSheep Wine Bar & Merchant a day or two before our desired date. I spoke with a staff member who took my contact info and informed me that I would receive an email to confirm the reservation. I never received an email, but assumed everything was fine since I had spoken with a real person. I was the first to arrive, about 10 minutes before our reservation time. Upon checking in, the hostess informed me that they did not have a reservation under my name. They had canceled it because I never confirmed. I explained that I never received the email, and after looking into it, they realized that the team member I spoke with had entered my email address incorrectly by one letter. They apologized and quickly found us another table before the rest of the party arrived. The rest of our experience was great! The servers were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. The food and drinks were delicious. I had a frolini, brussels, pom diggity salad, and a half order of the smoked salmon bruschetta. We had some gluten and dairy intolerances in the group and BlackSheep has plenty of gluten-free and dairy-free options. The only complaint from our group was the noise level inside; it was challenging to have a conversation with someone across the table. I heard that there's live music on certain nights, and while I enjoy it, I was thankful they didn't have it that evening. If it wasn't so hot outside we would have opted for outdoor seating. read more

We had a bad experience at this place tonight. Had a reservation and our guests arrived early and were seated in a very noisy exposed night top tables in the pathway to the bathroom. When we asked to move to many of the open tables, we were refused told that the tables were reserved for patrons arriving 75 minutes later. The manager didn't bother to talk with us and the poor young server had to profusely apologize for the inconvenience. This is a freaking wine bar not a thumping night club. Poor service. I like that it's located right in downtown Chandler near plenty of other shops (walking distance from me). We have been to BlackSheep several times for food and drinks. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The happy hour is great and the most of the food is really good. The bruschetta is really good as a shareable appetizer but the beer battered asparagus is not worth it. All of the paninis we've had have been delicious but the burger could use more seasoning. The zesty coconut salad is delicious and huge. The Cajun cream pasta is good. This was a super disappointment and I ONLY review this because it's the second time it's happened. Great Happy Hour. Drinks are awesome, good snacks and a big smile from our bartender. We like it. Tonight we paid our bartender and decided to have one more but it was APPARENTLY TOOOO much for the subsequent bartender. We had to flag down someone waiting tables to get the bartender's attention! And there were 6 people at the bar. 6!!! We ordered two more glasses of wine. She slammed down the wine and said, "HERE!" Walked away and that was that. I was APPALLED! Bad day bartender? The biggest disappointment is the new 3% credit‑card surcharge. In 2026, most places build that cost into their pricing instead of passing it directly to customers. It's not the amount -- it's the principle. When you combine that with the reduced menu and extra charges, the experience just doesn't feel welcoming anymore. This restaurant used to be a go‑to spot for great deals and a relaxed vibe. Now it feels like the focus has shifted away from value and customer experience. I really enjoy this wine bar. It is nestled on the corner of the Chandler downtown mall next to all of the fun bars and cute little shops. This has a great ambience. I love that you can just pop in during the weekday and get a table. In the evening, they have a candlelight and delicious food. I have had their meatballs. I've had their deep fried asparagus. I think it's asparagus. I have had their bottle in board. I've been there for lunch and Bellini's. They have a really really great deal every day of the week lunch you get a huge sandwich with a huge salad for a reasonable price. You can't go wrong at the black sheep. Came here on a Monday evening around 5 ish caught the happy hour. I think it ends at 6 or 6:30 because we managed to order two glasses of wine before it was over. Lol. All wines are $6 a glass and apps /starters are $6 off the listed price. You get plenty for them to be starters, as it should be so thank you Black Sheep for not overcharging for tiny nibbles of food! Lol.. we got the chicken flatbread, it does have anchovies on it and sun dried tomatoes which I love! It was the best thing on the table even though I didn't try the meatballs but my Italian date said they were good and lean. He's a picky eater , like flavor but healthy. I prefer the same. I'm not picky but I'm definitely honest. The Brussels were good but I wouldn't say there was a wow factor like so many I've tried. However they were delicious and tender not actually crispy. Service was the sweetest even though that had a big party of probably at least 30 loud people show up , I didn't mind noise , I like some excitement in my life. It got really busy for them though and they handled it like champs and with a smile . The restrooms only accommodate one person at a time, maybe 3 of them I think. I've been to Black Sheep Wine Bar before, and really enjoyed it. It has a really cool dark atmosphere with lots of interesting lights. There is an area with sofas too much back and enjoy a cocktail, a bar, tables and high tops, and patio seating out front. Our server was very sweet, and had the kitchen split our plates for us. Our drinks were fantastic--so delicious. It was a new menu, and the amazing salad I had before was no longer on it. I think it was a Cobb salad?? We split a Caesar salad and the spaghetti with meatballs served with garlic bread. Both were fine--not bad and not great. This place seems to be known for its burger, and that may have been a better choice for us. Black Sheep never misses! Truly such a gem. Stopped in on a Friday evening and we were excited to learn they have live music every Friday night! I love the dark and moody ambiance of the space. You really can't go wrong with any of the food-- this time we went for the pesto chicken sandwich, the zesty coconut salad, and the soup on special which was a green chile chicken. The sweet potato fries deserves a review of their own-- they are always so crispy and amazing. They had just rolled out their fall drink menu and so we indulged and tried the Apple Crumble, PSL, and the whiskey chai-- pro tip ask for it smoked. It's hard to choose a favorite because they were all so balanced and delicious. Will definitely be back on a Friday in the future because the live music really elevated an already amazing experience! The booth/couch seats up at the front are a great spot if you want a little more lighting and a more relaxed feel as well. The service was great, we went mid afternoon so the place wasn't busy when we got there. We were seated pretty quickly and served quickly as well. The food came out in a decent amount of time. We ordered two bruschetta both of which were delicious and the meatball skewers which were good as well. The Brie panini was a nice quick bite. The ingredients were perfectly balanced and the sandwich was a pretty decent size. The sweet potato fries were also good. The spaghetti was a little bit bland and watery, it wasn't bad but it also wasn't good enough for us to want to order it again. We were also a little disappointed that the menu photo showed garlic bread and the dish did not come with garlic bread but it's not something we can't live without as we didn't notice it missing until the end of the meal. The menu also doesn't state that it comes with garlic bread so maybe it wasn't missing after all. Overall we would likely go back here again if we're out that way. read more

The only thing that would make it better maybe if they used a little better bread other than that the toppings are great and the portion size was good as well.
