Honestly I'm sad to say it's a very different experience at this restaurant in 2026 then it was in 2025. In 2025 we couldn't stop raving about this place the food was amazing the service was impeccable. This last visit this weekend was disappointing. My partner ordered the beef wellington which was excellent and I ordered the duck which was...unexpected. The black cherry confit seemed non-existent, I think I actually got the same sauce that was on the Wellington. I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure and the duck was prepared well so I just let it go. The creme brulee dessert was a disaster. The first order came out black and I told the waiter there was something wrong with it immediately. He had mentioned he was new so I'm guessing he wasn't sure what it was supposed to look like. I tried to crack into it and the top just molded with the spoon so I asked him to take it back because it was not right. I watched him show it to someone, who I was told was the owners son, and they sent another. The owners son dropped it off the table and said, this should be more to my liking and walked away. Well it was only slightly less burnt but it did crack so I tried it. Sugar was definitely burnt, you could taste it, and the custard was dripping wet instead of solid. I showed this to the other waiter who was helping and she understood immediately and took it back. She said let's just get you the lava cake instead and I said fine. It's too bad because the flavor on the custard itself was excellent and I was really looking forward to it. Needless to say I was disappointed when the dessert was not taken off the bill after all we had been through with it. I expect more when dinner for two costs almost $200. read more

We made reservations for 6. We arrived a few minutes early and the hostess told us we had to wait. The place was empty but we had to wait. Definitely set the tone. We were seated in the private room which at first glance was nice but once we were inside it lacked luster. We were going cloth table cloths or something more elevated for table setting. Next there was a TV on wall which when we asked for the World Series to be broadcast they didn't have it connected. We were wanting an elevated experience and when we saw the TV we figured we would ask. Disappointed since we were inside this room with a TV that didn't work. We asked if we could be moved and our waiter obliged no problem which we absolutely appreciated. We sat across from their beautiful bar. The menu was rather old and on stock paper that was wrinkled. Really weird because the elevation was not there. My husband and a few others ordered the old fashioned. It was ok. My friend ordered a martini and upon her first drink she noticed there was a smudge on the bottom of the glass perhaps got dirty when drink was prepared. I ordered Diet Coke and I got a glass with ice along with a can of coke. Again disappointed there was no elevation of presentation of drinks. The wine menu was in a folder which was missing a ring and while this is a small detail it just didn't sit well with us. I ordered escargot. They were swimming in a pesto sauce. No flavor other than the pesto. My husband ordered rib eye he said it had good flavor. Another person ordered halibut and they were happy. Another person ordered the pork chops and they said they were good. My friend and I opted for the wagu hamburger. Presentation was good they put salt and pepper on board with your chosen side. My burger had to be sent back because the meat was not cooked as requested but it was fixed and resolved. Brussel sprouts were not crispy but rather more oily. Just a matter of preference. Potato's grated were also ordered and they were good. Duck fat potatoes were excellent. The sauces for steaks were tasty. Our waiter was very pleasant and he really did a nice job trying to make sure we had what we needed. I think all and all our party was happy but I think they need to elevate certain aspects to match the vibe they are going for. read more

We had not seen each other in 5 years, we live in different states, and did joy realize how late it was, or that we were the only party left. They never once made us feel rushed or ashamed. Great place for gatherings or a date night! Heard great things about this place so wanted to try it out. Happy hour menu has food and drink deals! We got the Escargots Facon Fabrice and Wild Mushroom Tartine off the HH menu. The escargot was very flavorful and I would get it again. The wild mushroom tartine was good with the greens and mushroom but it was a bit more oily than I would have liked. Wagyu Bacon Brie Burger was a good portion. The burger came out perfectly. My favorite was the Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon! The salmon was perfectly cooked and soft on the inside with a crispy skin. The crispy polenta was great with the sauce. Overall the flavors were so good all in one dish. I highly recommend this! Service was great and they were very attentive throughout our dining experience. read more

The order: escargot, wild mushroom tartine, wagyu Brie burger, San seared Atlantic salmon The good: HH deals if you come before 6 and get seated at the bar or high top. Portions are descent and some dishes come with a side. It's fairly quiet, so you don't need to speak over the music. Not busy during the weekday evenings The bad: -not sure why we need to sit at the bar for HH, when 90% of the restaurant is empty. -Feels weird, when your party is a quarter of the restaurant population. read more

I started my diet this week and wanted a healthy salad with salmon for dinner. So I did a quick Yelp search for places nearby my house. This place popped up and I hadn't been here in years. Decided to give it a try again. This place has an amazing wine selection. Since I was by myself I ordered the happy hour glass of wine at $10 per glass. Figured it would be a solid selection but ended up being an Italian wine that could be had for $9.99 a bottle. My advice is to skip the happy hour as it's not worth it. I ordered the grilled salmon salad and it was delicious. I would definitely order that again. Overall I had a good experience but was a little disappointed with the happy hour wine price. 5X markup is a bit much. read more

I think I we must have gone on an off night, but when you're shelling out this kind of money, the restaurant shouldn't have off nights. The staff were super friendly and did everything they could to help, but it seems they were just in an impossible situation. Made a reservation for a weeknight first date. It was pretty dead inside. I should have taken that as a sign. I had reviewed the wine list online extensively and went to find what I wanted on their wine menu. Unfortunately, they had changed the menu less than a week before but hadn't updated the one online. Literally none of the bottles I had wanted from the previous menu were on the new one. I don't even know how that happens. And the sommelier was on vacation. So they changed the menu on the staff and just dipped out right after? They actually called the sommelier on vacation to get recommendations. I don't really like to take a sommelier's suggestion over my own extensive research, because I know my palate better than they do, even though they're experts. The result was predictable. It was an ok wine experience. Definitely not worth the price though. The service was really great, though. And the escargot was killer. I'd consider going back just for that. But the $98 bone in ribeye was very overcooked. I ordered medium rare and there was almost no pink left. The flavor was good, though. Really good char on it. The au poivre sauce was awesome, especially to dip the fries in. Crème brûlée was good too, as it always seems to be. I would like to give them another chance, but I can't justify another $300+ dinner just to see if it is better than my first experience. There are too many great places out here. Such a shame, too, because I really would love to find a French style restaurant to frequent. read more

We went here for my husband's birthday. The two dollar signs as pricing for this place is WAY off. The drinks are 16-25 dollars for each drink or glass of wine. The drink my hubby got was basically an incredibly large ice cube with less than 3 ounces of cocktail. It was tasty though! You'll need at least two drinks as they are tiny! My husband got the French salad. The waiter served us a little tomato soup as an amuse-buche. There was no bread served but we are gluten free anyway so that was not something that mattered to us. For our mains I got the salmon and he got duck. My salmon was a little well done but the sauce was fantastic. My husband's duck was good but the potatoes with it were incredibly salty. My dish came with a hilarious "side" of zucchini which was cold and about a tablespoon of zucchini. I am trying to eat more vegetables but this was not it. Mine came with polenta as well but I wasn't sure if it was gluten free so I didn't eat it. It looked pretty. I think we spent well over 200 dollars with no appetizers or desserts. We each had two drinks. I had wine. Hubby had cocktail and then a glass of wine. They did bring a sparkling wine for my husband's birthday which was lovely. The service and ambiance were great and overall we had a lovely evening. I don't think we would go again but that's mostly based on lack of information about gluten. Which we could ask about but we tend not to if it isn't listed on the menu we just make note that it doesn't list any gluten free options and avoid it in the future. We're new to gluten free so we should probably try harder to find out ahead of time! Totally our bad for not checking. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for sometime. The ambience is really nice. It's a gorgeous restaurant even though the outside wouldn't tell you that. But once you come inside, it's nicely decorated and the ambience is great. I sat at the bar this time and I got there in time for happy hour. I have been wanting some escargot for at least the past six or seven months. I ordered the escargot and I was a little disappointed. It was a beautiful presentation, but the first escargot I had I tasted some sand or grit on my first bite. It was as though they weren't cleaned properly. The taste was actually bitter because it was so much garlic. Now I love garlic, but it seemed as though that it was a little excessive. I could be wrong, but it was a little pungent. I added a little salt to it and that seemed to bring out a better flavor. Would I order it again? I don't think so. I've had better go at other places. Next, I ordered a salad with salmon. I had to return it because the fish smelled very fishy! I mean you shouldn't be able to smell a fishy smell like that. I don't know if the fish was bad, but I'm assuming it was and I was afraid to eat it! They promptly asked me if I wanted to order something else and I did! That was good customer service so I did appreciate that. But I can't get over the fact that I think I was served bad fish because when I tell you this fish smelled fishy, it was smelly! The muscles were cooked in a curry sauce and I found that to be very delightful! I did enjoy that. The customer service was good. The escargot was meh, the salmon salad was not good, and the muscles were tasty. Would I give this another try? I'm not sure, but I know I really wanted to like this place. We were very pleased with our first visit to the cuisine and Wine Bistro. I look forward to our return. It very much had the feel of being family-owned which we liked. The bar had a very cute sitting area. We enjoyed all of our entrees and sides. One of my favorite things was the appetizer of tomato tart which is not pictured but the flavor was amazing and the crust was absolutely perfectly flaky and delicious. My friend and I chose this restaurant as one of our stops during Arizona Restaurant Week. Good French restaurants are quite hard to find. This one was wonderful from start to finish, including the warm and cozy ambiance. First of all, I appreciated that, even though the overhead lighting was dim, the small lamp at the table allowed us to read our menu without having to turn on our phones' flash app. We were impressed with the professional appearance and attitude of the wait staff, who were helpful with questions and the right level of friendliness. We chose from the special restaurant week menu, which included vichyssoise, lamb chops, and for dessert a berry tartelette. Everything was excellent. We knew we'd be returning as there were a number of other items on the regular menu that we want to try. The only negatives were minor. The lemonade just didn't have that puckery zip. Too bland. They willingly remade it for us -- but no, still not what we were looking for. Also (restaurant manager, please note), on the check out ticket, vichyssoise is spelled wrong. Loved their Gilbert location so wanted to try this one for our anniversary and I'm sad to say we were extremely disappointed. The service was bad, super slow, had to flag the server down several times cause he wasn't checking on us at all. Had to ask him to clear the appetizer plates and wine tasting glasses when he came over, at an expensive restaurant like this one that should be done without asking. The food... what a disappointment! Having been to France and having cooked French food myself, I was disappointed to eat frog legs that had no flavor, and the worst duck I've ever had! My wife and I came in around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Funny enough, that's the same time I tried to book a reservation earlier in the week through OpenTable, but I couldn't because I had another reservation within the two-hour limit. We were seated right away and given menus by the hostess. About five minutes later, she came back with waters and mentioned that our server would be with us shortly. The restaurant wasn't busy at all -- maybe four or five tables were occupied. After more than ten minutes of sitting there with just water and no greeting from a server, we started to feel pretty invisible. We looked around, talked about what we wanted to order, but no one ever came by to take care of us. Eventually, we just decided to leave. It was really disappointing, especially since I had planned this evening for my wife and specifically chose this spot because we'd never been before. I was looking forward to trying something new instead of the usual chain restaurants. Sadly, the lack of service made this a poor first impression, and we don't plan to return. read more

The bread is the best here, everything else is just mediocre. Definitely the worst anniversary dinner I've had in years. The escargot was too bitter because it was over powered with garlic. Edible but not that good. The French burrata was not good. The tomatoes looked beautiful but had no flavor. The sauce tasted very strange. The burrata cheese was good, so I only ate that. The bacon wrapped filet was very mediocre. The bacon had a weird flavor. Not a good steak. French fries were ok, sauce was blah. Service was soooo slow and not what I would except from a higher end restaurant! Only 1 server. Didn't bring fresh utensils after apps. She was nice but definitely didn't pay much attention to us. One of the worst server experiences I've had at a restaurant in a long time. My stomach has been upset all morning. Something was definitely off with the food. I do not recommend this place unless you want a glass of wine at the bar because they do have an impressive wine list. They really need to do better. read more

I found this restaurant on Yelp and I was excited to try it. The sun shining through the windows does not make for an enjoyable experience combined with the fact it was warm inside. I am just about to leave and the AC is now coming on. The food was average at best!!!! We started with a meat and cheese board, basket of bread and French onion soup. I didn't enjoy meat and cheese board at all. The French onion soup had a spice that was taking away from the broth. The bread and butter was awesome!!! It was literally the best thing we had. We finished with a beef Wellington. The beef is rare even after we sent it back. Again, it had a spice that took away from the flavor and the sauce was salty. As a whole I was completely disappointed and can't recommend this place. Our server was nice but slow and not very attentive. I truly don't understand the reviews. read more

Well for starters the wrong menu was presented .. we decided on the lobster type potstickers item.. was informed they were not available and the menu we were given was not up to date clearly lacking attention to detail. We settled on the beef tartare .. large portion for a starter ..It was restaurant week so unfortunately they was no plate du jour .. we got the French onion soup .. overly sweet and the piece of bread on top was barley toasted .. no gooey cheese or crisp contrast to breakup the overloads of onion .. barley any broth...I asked the server his opinion between the lamb, duck or fish he said without question the fish.. overcooked , served with a plop of veggie swimming in butter the plate looked thrown together with no finesse, our artistic touch. My spouse loved his beef Wellington . I've eaten here a few times. It's located in a strip mall that really doesn't do the place justice. Inside it's quiet and the food is really good. I've had a few things and been very impressed with the quality of food. One of the servers I had here was the best server I've ever had at a restaurant. I keep trying new restaurants and most of the time I just wish I went back here instead. I prefer this place to Steak 44, Ocean 44, etc. and it's a fraction of the price of those other places. read more

Wow Wow Wow Wow Wow!!!! We had an amazing meal and Birthday dinner at Cuisine and Wine Bistro in Chandler! First of all the ambiance is so romantic and relaxing! It's just beautiful inside and the seating was very comfortable! My husband was a little disappointed at first because all the drafts were down when we went however they had an amazing French beer that he fell in love with in a bottle so that worked out great! I ordered the margarita and I also had the French Irish cocktails on happy hour for $10 each. I liked the margarita better but both cocktails were very good. We started off with the french fries which my husband said was the best he's ever had and the French onion soup. The soup was extremely authentic and the cheesy bread that comes on top is just perfection. We split the halibut, along with a side of the mushrooms, which were the most garlicky and buttery mushrooms I have ever had and I fell in love! The fish was just so flaky and so fresh and definitely enough to feed two. They also gave my husband a free crème brûlée for his birthday dessert. This meal could not have been any better and our server was fantastic. We can't wait to go back, thank you so much for this amazing meal!!! read more

We had such a wonderful time here. The restaurant was beautiful and romantic. We started off with drinks. My husband got a four roses old fashion. I got a cocktail that was delicious but I can't remember what it was called! It was the second to last drink listed under their classic cocktails, started with the letter V. For starters we ordered Escargots façon fabrice and the bacon fried Brie board. The escargot was ok. Personally, I found the flavor to be too fishy, but I do believe that is how they authentically should taste. The sauce was delicious and spicy. The Brie board was not my favorite. It was hard to eat, the flavor was ok. The garlic bread it came with was good and the little salad they had on the board was actually my favorite. I definitely will try a different appetizer next time. Following our starters we shared the wedge salad, asked for them to chop it for us and to add extra blue cheese and THIS was absolutely amazing. We will order this again. I am so bummed I did not get a picture of it because it was delicious. For our main dish we shared the 28oz bone-in ribeye, cooked medium rare and bacon and blue cheese Brussels sprouts. The ribeye was the star of the night. We are very excited to have the rest for dinner tonight! It was huge. The Brussel sprouts were cooked in a way I've never had them before. They were soft, small, easy to eat and perfect. I loved them! Next time I would ask for extra blue cheese but they were fantastic and I would definitely order again. Our waitress was very sweet, kind and helpful. I have mixed feelings. First of, I love the interior. Made a reservation for a Christmas dinner with my team. Our server Monica, was professional. In general the food was good. Not overwhelming. What I was really annoyed about by, was that no one didn't mentioned charge a service fee of 20%. I always tip with cash, and 99,9% I tipped more then the 20% on the bill. On top of it. Every one on my team paid the drinks themself and they were also charge with a service fee of 20%. I was just annoyed that this wasn't communicated in advanced. It's a shame!
