First time caller, long time listener.. lol jjk..focus gurlll focus. First time here attending a birthday get together. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean it was, and the second was how welcoming Zach and Jaron were! Heyyyy!! I really like the aesthetics of the bar and the layout. They have a really nice patio, and the inside is set up so well that everyone is spread out comfortably. Their selection of on tap beers, ales, and lagers is awesome and I'm not even a beer drinker! I tried about five different samples and told Jaron I was probably drunk already just from the tasting... lol. They also have a small selection of wine choices available. Eighty Twenty smash burger pop-up was out on the patio and the burgers were FIRE!!! Babyyy, when I tell you, I was licking my fingersssss. It's owned by a husband and wife, and they were simply the best. I really like the vibe of the bar. There was a very diverse group of people there and it was just a really nice place to hang. I drove 35 minutes to get there and I would definitely drive 35 minutes again to go and have a drink. I enjoyed myself so much that I purchased two of the Sleepy Whale shirts! If you stop in, you should absolutely grab one because the quality is amazing. I did ask for a bag and they said they had a "thank you" bag, but I told them that wasn't bougie enough so Zach wrote "Gucci"on mine and that absolutely made my night! He understood the assignment! Yassssss! If you're looking for a place in Chandler to hang, have a good drink, and enjoy the vibes, I would highly recommend Sleepy Whale!

Attended the DT Chandler Parade of Lights from the patio here. Great company, great views, great beer, and the visiting Taco truck had the most delicious Birria. Excellent consume'.

There was no real "food" here till the taco truck guy showed up as this is more of a tap and bottle room. As we walked in we were greeted by Collin and never pressured to order. Listening Collin was helpful to every customer by making valid suggestions based on their likes and dislikes. Inside this location is very homey and very friendly. All the customers had no problem chatting. The venue is great and comfortable

This is my and my wife's favorite place to try new beers, sours or even go for the frozen drank. They are dog friendly, have the best rotation of new stuff on tap and in the cooler for takeout. Nice and airy layout, rather than some dark, dank dungeon elsewhere. No kitchen here, so no food menu. That said, they occasionally have a pizza vendor or other food offering on site. And they allow you to bring food in - you can even get a discount at the place next door!! Nice place downtown to have a drink and talk to your partner or friends. A good to meet new friends too. And the bartenders have always been really cool. Love this place just the way it is!!

This place is always a great time. Tons of options on tap + more. Great place to hangout for a couple of hours and super dog friendly! Cheers!!

No food, unless you consider drinking your calories with the pleasure of craft beer is enough ! The ambiance share a common vibe to something you would see on a coastal side. A brew spot with the garage doors, wooden bar top and stateless steel berms. Straight out of a boat dock, and right into your experience. The hospitality is awesome and inviting. 28 on tap and more cans than you can imagine in the fridge from all over. A great spot to suit anyone. Wine served as well

This is really a cute little place! They only serve beer and wine, but they have a large selection of beer. They don't serve any drinks so don't come in there asking for a spicy margarita like I did! But they do have an extensive beer list. The ambience is really cool And the atmosphere is laid-back. There's no food offered either but on the weekends they do have food trucks that come in. It's a cute place. I'd go back if I'm just looking for a place for a glass of wine or beer. I don't drink a lot of beer. Wine is my thing.

Great atmosphere, beer and staff. Very dog friendly, but for a sports bar they could have more TVs.

Excellent beer and cider selection. Service was average, almost indifferent but that's ok our drinks stayed filled and the chips and salsa was excellent.

Great location, ambiance, beer selection, and service. My boyfriend comes here with his friends who's daughter did a girl scout cookie beer pairing event here! I mean come on... girl scout cookies and beer pairing?!?! I'm in! Great event! This place is dog friendly, they have large tables for large groups, and a plethora of board games. Come check it out!

This has been on my list to visit forever. Finally decided to stop in. So glad we did. This place is a fantastic spot to enjoy a craft beer. They have a good selection and some of my favorite breweries (pure project, fieldwork, wren house). And they have wine which I love as well. I have been on a beer break but decided to have one, when in Rome! Cute dog hanging back near the wine. And it was busy but not packed. Staff behind the bar is friendly. Menu is color coded for beet types. Beer fridge has some nice choices. We tried the Cloud Mountain DIPA by Pure Project and Salted Seabreeze sour by Fieldwork. Both really great! Easy 5 stars. Cheers!

No seats were available inside (good sign) so we went outside in the shaded patio with misters and found an open table. Our server, Oliver, was awesome! Very friendly and attentive and helpful with items on the menu. For drinks we ordered an old fashioned and a pint of church music. Both good choices. Since it's a burger joint, Hubs ordered the Balboa and I ordered the Yeti. Wow! My burger was to die for. The rosemary goat cheese with bacon jam was the perfect combo of tangy and sweet! Hubs was eating his burger without any complaints which is what you want. Both of us went with the hand cut fries. Crispy and very good! We can't wait to return. This place is legit!

We asked if they could turn on the sound for the World Cup and they were more than willing to accommodate. I thought the Balboa burger was very good and I would have enjoyed the gas lamp burger better if the red pepper didn't keep slipping out. They don't charge you if you change fries for tots or even your burger patty for a chicken or turkey patty, which is really nice. Lowlights: I'm a big french fry eater and I didn't really like the fries here I found them too soft. The majority of their tables inside are barstools, which is a bit uncomfortable for me personally.

Music is always on pointe and I would never change the look or ambiance of the place either. My last trip here though I had to ask about why the menu had stopped changing as often since we were one of two parties there in the middle of happy hour and there was a large framed picture of a bartender with a bunch of signed notes on the bottom of it beside me at the bar. It turns out that one of the oldest curators and bartenders of the bar and restaurant had passed from a drunk driving incident and I had not known at all! Gosh I was so disappointed in myself that I had ever complained about not having a new menu to try after that...but at the same time it was amazing to hear so many great anecdotes and to learn so much more about him and the history of the bar itself while dining this time. I had a lot of fun times at this bar - including remembering the first time I met that bartender and sharing that memory with the staff that told me their story. They also shared that they would be coming out with a new menu very soon and some of the new items and ideas that would be rolling out so I am also very excited to go back! Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end. If you're coming for the food or the service, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. We came in as a party of five a little after 9:00 PM and were told the kitchen closed at 10:00 PM. No problemo, we were ready to order right away. Instead, our server didn't return to take our order until around 9:20PM, despite nearby tables continuing to receive service. That was the first sign things weren't going well. I ordered the carne asada nachos specifically because the menu advertised them with queso instead of shredded cheese. I even mentioned to my group that was the reason I was ordering them. I also added a side of sweet potato waffle fries. About 25 minutes after we had already placed our order, the server came back and asked if I'd like a different meat. Like of course I don't want a different meat that's why I ordered carne asada. The server didn't say that they were out of carne asada, but I read between the lines and opted for ground beef cause really the queso is what makes the nachos. Also, I couldn't help wondering why it took 25 minutes to find that out. Then the food arrived. My nachos immediately looked different than expected. Instead of queso, they were covered with shredded cheese. Nothing was mentioned about being out of queso. I notice there was none. When I asked about it, the server casually said, "Oh yeah, we're out of queso too." Wait...what? So the restaurant was out of both the carne asada and the queso. The two main ingredients that made me order the dish in the first place. No one cared to mentioned either of those things when taking my order OR when coming back and asking if I wanted a different meat didn't also mention they were out of queso. Had I known, I would have ordered something completely different from the start. To the server's credit, she did let me order something else. Sucks for the kitchen because they were already closed. I ended up getting the sliders, but they were just as underwhelming as everything else. The food overall tasted like frozen products that had simply been reheated. Nothing tasted fresh, especially considering the prices. The biggest issue wasn't just the mediocre food, it was the lack of communication and straight lie when placing my food in front of me. If items are unavailable, tell customers before they order or at least when placing their food down, not after they've waited half an hour and not saying anything at all. Between the disappointing service, poor communication, and unforgettable food for all the wrong reasons, this place completely lost my trust. I'd honestly rather spend half the money at IHOP, where the food is more consistent and I'd know what to expect.
