Always a fantastic meal. Theres always a bit of a wait but so worth it. The owner is very hands on, from taking drink orders, stopping to chat, running food to even busting tables himself. Hes running around every single time we have ever bee there. Great service and staff. Huge portions for a great price and awesome quality. The prices are good, and they don't skimp, but the flavor is just non-existent on everything we got. The veggies are from frozen, and barely seasoned, barely heated. My sister got a sandwich with the sauce hardly drizzled over the meat. Not on the dried out bun, and not enough to even offer any flavor. The salad was just iceberg lettuce and shrimp, nothing else. The shrimp was unseasonably, a good texture, but no taste. Service was deplorable. We had about the snobbiest guy in the world. He was bothered he had to wait on us, and he rolled his eyes non stop. We got drink refills from someone else, couldn't find this guy when we needed him. We were charged for sauce we never asked for, nor received? Not sure what that's about. They fixed it. One of the best spots in the Scranton area. Easy to miss in a strip mall on the O'Neal highway in Dunmore, you should make it a point to go to the Loading Dock if you've never been. A couple of one word observations: Fast Clean Tasy Filling Professional The servers are great, friendly, and really good at their jobs. The owner keeps this place impressively clean and remarkably efficient. Oh, it's also very affordable. No price gouging on the menu that I can notice. Good wings, burgers, salads (salads? Yes, really good salads!), cheesesteaks, fries...you get the idea. Give them a try, but be prepared to wait a few minutes (not too long) to get your seat. read more

Every time I call this place to order food. They either closed or dont answer. Their food is good but DAMN their business is either open or not open. Always worth it to eat here. Wings are crisp and there is a variety of sauces. Salads will fill you up. Burgers are delicious. Perogies are a treat. The beer is always cold. Visited here with a friend on a Tuesday evening. I ordered a chicken cheese steak - buffalo style. To me this was just OK. I just wasn't a fan of the mozzarella cheese on top, nor the chunks of celery in the cheese steak. Just my preference. Great food, and good atmosphere the staff is very welcoming and friendly and the owner is very tentative and pays close attention to each customer. My wife order a chicken quesadilla the last time we visited, and wasn't happy with the amount of cheese (way to much). The owner notice the displeasure in my wife's face, he approached our table found out what was going on and agree, and personally when and grabbed her a freshly made chicken quesadilla. Wow! What a treat! Don't judge a book (or really the area) by its' cover on this one. Located in an older strip mall, you could miss this gem but you'd be sad to! Food is delicious, very reasonably priced, and service is fantastic. Staff is friendly and restaurant is very clean. Large waiting area as this place does get crowded, but you aren't waiting too long and are kept in the loop by very attentive front house staff. No kids menu, but they do offer a variety of kid friendly choices which are sure to be a hit with the younger crowd. Their "secret sauce" chicken wings are amazing! read more

I recently ordered a buffalo chicken tender salad. First let me say there were no chicken tenders. It was a chicken cutlet that was cut up. The mild buffalo flavoring on the chicken was sparse. It wasn't juicy. The chicken pieces were dry. The lettuce was that really curly stuff. My mistake. I should have inquired and asked for romaine or head lettuce. It was a take out order. No utensils!! Driving through on the way back from a wedding in PA. From the outside I didn't expect much but it's right off of 81, the environment is excellent, the staff is incredibly friendly, the prices are reasonable and you truly don't get better food from a random stop on a road trip. "Clearly a neighborhood favorite." Place: the restaurant is located inside of a strip mall; very easy to drive by or never even notice. Inside, the decor is quite basic. Definitely carry a sweater if you get cold as air condition was on full blast! Family friendly and clearly a community favorite. First impression: No host(ess) at the front door. First experience is walk in and see a huge amount of people waiting. Random stranger told me to wait at the counter to be added to the waitlist. Given wait time was 30 mins and it ended up being less. While waiting it appeared staff was running around doing a millions things at a time. Staff seemed thoughtful and polite. Menu: Simple easy to read menu, but lacked any drink menu (no soft drinks listed and you have to request a tap list if you want beer). A huge opportunity lost for revenue in my opinion. So when waiter comes to the table, you don't know your drink options if it's your first time. Desserts?? Not sure if they have any, none was offered nor was there any sign of a dessert menu. (Maybe you have to ask for that too!) Now I'm wondering what their full beverage menu is... and now I'm craving dessert! Service: The wait staff was very kind and polite, but it is clear that they need atleast one more staff member. At the end, when questioned, the waitress told me they were missing one person. It definitely showed. Everyone was working very quickly trying to do a million things at once and it just put a damper on service from the customers perspective. Food: Absolutely fantastic!! Definitely a 5 star category. Our bill consisted of two perfectly cooked NY strip, salads and sides. As well as the shrimp scampi over penne with French Onion soup, and bacon covered seared scallops. Large, delicious portions. Perfectly timed with delivery. Worth every penny. To clarify the steaks were cooked perfectly to the customers request not to how the chefs saw fit. My dining partner and I went there on a whim. We absolutely enjoyed our experience. Great atmosphere, waited in quickly and were enjoying our meals in short order. The menu wasn't expansive but had a variety of entrees. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable and happy to give a recommendation. The portions were generous. There is no dessert menu and when questioning the waiter he stated that because the portions were so generous, patrons often bypassed dessert altogether. While i found it to be unusual, he was right. I ordered a cheesesteak and fries this past weekend and everything was delicious. The steak was well cooked and tasted great with the melted cheese. The fries were breaded and tasty. We also got wings which were perfectly cooked and the sauce was great. I'm not sure which sauce, since it was someone else's order and they said it was a secret sauce, but whatever it was, it was delicious. Wings tasted funky, not fresh. Garlic sauce had over powering with garlic juice from jar of garlic... smilers and ale Mary has much better French onion soup and wings (I am a kind of person judge the place from a typical item such French onion soup). I feel beers are over priced. maybe this place is still poplar for the traditional American menu when the other bars I like have limited unique menu but delicious! Loading dock is a great dining and drinking experience. Food is good, temperature is always hot or cold as it should be. If not, the owner Anthony is right on spot and making sure everything is done right. We have been a good customer at the Loading Dock for several years and always have gotten good food...good service for a reasonable price. Today, we ordered 4 orders of wings for "game Day". They are the worst we've seen from them, possibly anywhere else for that matter. No taste whatso ever....one...ONE teaspoon of sauce for all the wings...Absolutely the worst.....And what even hurts more...we paid good money for these...they weren't a handout....we expect a level of quality of the food commensurate with what we paid.
