Remains a lovely spot for a beverage. Bright airy space. Old fashioned was really good and I liked the little snacks provided. Service was quick and efficient this time.

I found this oasis away from the crowds and noise at Canada Place back in May 2019 and have returned whenever I'm in Vancouver. The quality of their drinks and food is a step above other places I've frequented in the city. It doesn't hurt that one can enjoy one's meal in peace and quiet ... It's like being at a high-end hotel in Tokyo, peaceful and serene. This time I brought my sister-in-law (SIL) to experience this venue ... she ordered a Sashimi Salad ($27), and I had the Sashimi Platter ($80) and two pieces of Ama Ebi ($14). We had several Empress gin and tonics. I love that they bring you a bottle of high-quality tonic water ... I like my gin & tonics mixed 2 to 1 (gin to tonic water) so I appreciate being able to tailor my drinks. I love the sashimi platter ... There are three thick pieces of eight kinds of fish artfully presented. One disappointment, they don't present the heads of the Ama Ebi deep fried ... that's a crunchy taste treat that I love. It's not inexpensive but I'm willing to pay for quality and you get that at The Lobby Lounge / Raw Bar. Recommended!

Bison, carpaccio, truffle, grilled cheese with rosemary fries, beet salad with pesto

We were going to eat upstairs, but were mistakenly told that the brunch was à la cart when it is prix fixe. We weren't that hungry and we were also trying to avoid alcohol. We went downstairs immediately seated at 1:30 PM on a Saturday next to an open full length window. The day was very pleasant in the shadow of the sun so this was very nice. Our server arrived properly to take our order and express no disappointment when we ordered tapwater rather than sparkling. My wife is vegetarian so she did most of the ordering, but I saw Bison Carpaccio on the menu and placed an order for that. I support eating bison whenever I can. My carpaccio came with arugula and sliced pickled onions and Parmesan cheese slivers, but interestingly, no capers or pink peppercorns. It tasted very much like roast beef, which is to say it was delicious. My wife had ordered the truffle grilled cheese, which she devoured along with the rosemary fries it comes with. Nice to the usual garlic fries. They were crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. We probably would've been fine, in terms of being full, if we had not ordered the beet salad with pesto. But we did, and we did our duty by it. The beets were rather bland, but the pesto gave good flavor.

We spent a lot of time at the lobby lounge bar. Came here 3 times for sushi because it's really good. They use real crab for cali roll as well as they have great miso, salmon motoyaki roll, lobster roll was great and of course cocktails! My favorite was strawberry cocktail, my husband also took mocktails they have great selection. Also they prioritize hotel guests so you don't have to wait long. We also enjoyed live music in the evening. I am not sure about rest of the food menu didn't look healthy to me so we just took cheese board which was OK but nothing special. But i highly recommend sushi, very fresh and delicious. Also complementary trail snacks with any drink was good.

Happy Lunar New Year - the year of the Tiger! Go into 2022 with a loud ... Grrrrrrrrrr & do your thang! The Lobby Lounge & Raw Bar @ the Fairmont Pacific Rim is high end aka bring your credit cards ... all of em! Most nights there is 'live' music & over the next few days, the Lunar New Year celebrations are on in full swing! The Lion Dance (why not call it Tiger?) cocktail was superb ... bourbon is starting to get a hold of me ... sorry vodka! My Sushi Nori Tacos - Nova Scotia Lobster & Dungeness Crab - were excellent! OMG have I told you how much I love bread pudding!?! Well dayuuuuummm the one I had here had me tripping all over myself! The ooohhs & aaahhhs after every bite were savagely loud! Food & drink here pricey as heck but absolutely hits the spot in my belly! If you like having sandwiches for dinner ... yikes ... I heard the Pesto Chicken was good. The chicken wings were a hit ... the sauce on them was amazing! Haute couture designs by world famous couturier Guo Pei, are on display! Elegant, beautiful, stunning, stylish, a must see for yourselves indeed! I first took notice of her when her collection was featured at the Vancouver Art Gallery (see my review for pix) back in 2019. Aaaaahh mazing! Do come down one night up till the 13th of this month, & catch this phenomenal showcase! It's first come first served at the LLB, otherwise you're able to roam around the lobby of the Fairmont Pacific Rim & take it all in! This spot is definitely for the Grown & Sexy! Gong Hei Fat Choy!

We're staying at the Fairmont and we decided to grab a quick drink and bite here before walking around the city. For drinks, we ordered the port poached pear and harvest peach cocktails. They were okay, nothing amazing and definitely not worth $24 each. Crazy expensive for drinks. For food, we ordered the spiced chicken sandwich to share and we loved it. Very tasty! They also gave us little complimentary snacks - sesame sticks and wasabi covered peas and a trail mix. The service was just okay. Our server was sweet but we didn't see much of her and it was slow. We unfortunately waited awhile for our food to come out and to ask her for the bill. Great ambiance! There's high top tables, regular tables, and lounge seating and it's very modern. We enjoyed the live music which happens from 5-10pm. I personally wouldn't come back here if we weren't staying at the Fairmont. Over $80 for two drinks and one entree but hotel food is always pricier, especially at a nice one, so I get it. But overall great vibe here and convenient if you're staying at this hotel!

This place is in the lobby of the Fairmont, and the ambiance is the best part of the experience. We went here to get lunch, and they were playing live music. Overall, it is very modern and boujee. The worst part about this place is the service. The server was not attentive and was very slow in taking our order, getting us drinks/food, and giving us the bill/receipt. The drinks were good but nothing special, especially given the price ($24). The spiced chicken sandwich was the best part of the meal, and I would get this again!

Very posh! Amazing ambiance including a live band. Food was top notch and our server was excellent.

The space is beautiful, just like the rest of the hotel. The food was disappointing though. I have been to a few sushi places in Vancouver, from mid tier to expensive ones, they all didn't disappoint. This meal was disappointing, especially given the price point. The lobster roll didn't really have any unique flavours. The roll also fell apart really easily. The flavours just didn't work really well. The miso soup tasted bland; I have had better at ayce places. The nigiri was average at best, the ingredients just didn't taste premium. The waitress suggested was hotate motoyaki nigiri which was torched scallop, and it was really good, probably my favourite out of my entire meal. Given the miso soup was $10, the lobster roll was $33 and the nigiri ranged from $7-8/ piece, I was truly disappointed.

    Masayoshi lunch omakase
    Beverly T.

If you're curious as to what the lunch omakase by masayoshi @ pac rim looks like. Well, this is what a couple of food bloggers in vancouver uploaded on instagram VS what was presented to us when we ordered it. (i get that they probably got sponsored to make this reel but the difference was just ridiculous) My friends and I wanted to try it since we saw it on instagram and the video made it look so appealing. We all love omakase experiences and conveniently we were going to willowstream spa thats upstairs at the hotel in the afternoon. Unfortunately this meal was short of an experience. The food was mediocre. The whole meal was plated nicely on a little platter for each person but the server did not explain to us what was presented. The only thing that came out separately was the little dessert at the end. (which was really good) After the dessert came out we were still hungry so we had to order a salad. It was a super light lunch to say the least. With tax and tip it came out to $140 per person. Didn't really think this meal was worth it at all. It was really a instagram VS reality moment for us.

Great spot for a bite and a cocktail. A couple of nights there was also live music. Trendy and spacious, this bar suits the lovely Pacific Rim. Great ambiance and service. The sushi here is excellent. Faves were the salmon and sable moto rolls and the LL roll.

Here sitting at the bar... TJ the bartender is ON POINT in his service, knowledge of the wines and cocktails and so funny. Legit makes this place a vibe. The cocktails are amazing, soon to try the wine Which I'm sure is phenomenal as well. But honestly the ambiance of this place is great and TJ has made the night a vibe and such a fun experience. The service always makes or breaks an experience and in this case made it. Will 100% be back

Their food was really good, truffle fries are quite rich and flavourful, same with the beef carpaccio. I don't think the menu mentions it comes with these sliced toasted baguettes which were topped with olive oil and balsamic glaze. Service was slightly disappointing as our service was quite flat. Two instances, both not the fault of our server, but the bar had a friend a drink in a dirty glass, she ordered a clear drink but it was brown tinged, and had a weird flavour. Multiple people at the table tried it before we told the server that it seemed off. It was slightly off putting, but our server went back and got a new one for my friend. Second thing, they said they updated their POS so for some reason the person who had the most alcoholic drinks had been put in with a really high autogratuity, but it was strange because everyone else at the party had the regular autograt of 20% I believe and the only person who was drunk ended up getting 30% or something of the sort. Our server again, amazing and took care of it working with the manager who fixed it and came to apologize but the optics of that only happening to the one drunk person if the party, well you know. Kinda left an unsatisfactory taste in everyone's mouths regarding the service. Food was still great and so was our server, and the manager who came to personally apologize about the issue.

Everything on the HH menu is $5 3-6pm and all day Wednesday. We also got the meatball appetizer and the Baccala on toast. But then a very large party was being seated at the adjacent restaurant that the bar seems to also serve, and she got tied up pretty bad. We did see a couple come in and wait for a pretty long time and then just take off. And then the bar was closed for this private party at 7pm, and we had sort of planned on a nightcap after dinner in there. Fortunately we found PLENTY of awesome places to go after dinner so it was not an issue. While there during Happy Hour, the crowd was empty at first and the place filled up completely by the time we left. 30's and 40's crowd.

If you're looking for a comfortable, quiet, and cosy bar this is not the place for you. This is a place where Vancouverites get dressed up in their finest dark washed jeans. Am I being facetious - yes I am...but lets face it that's what passes for high fashion in this city. Celebrity sightings are not totally uncommon here, the servers are all friendly and quick to bring your drinks, and you're guaranteed plenty of beautiful people eye-candy. It's also a bar targeting a slightly more mature age group with their larger disposable income - so no annoying teeny boppers knocking back B-52's here and whoohooing it up. One shocking thing I discovered on my last visit to OPUS Bar, was that they aren't allowed to do "real" bottle service there. So if you order a bottle of Goose for the table, be prepared to have your server take it away and bring it back out only when requested or when glasses start to go empty - thankfully Champagne & Wine are exempt from this strange rule.
