Pretzel Burger
Beth A.

Unfortunately the burger was really dry even with the queso cheese. The fries were a nice and crunchy texture with a soft middle. Though it wasn't the best meal I was eager to try my friends had flavorful dinners, that I sampled and enjoyed.

Black and Blue Bacon Burger
Michelle L.

Went with a group of people during the week. I ordered the Black & Blue Bacon Burger (Blackened Juicy burger topped with bleu cheese crumbles and two strips of crispy bacon | Served on a toasted split top burger bun) with French Fries. I requested the burger to be more medium with a little pink but it was cooked through. The burger is thick. It had the blue cheese crumbles and the bacon and everything was fine but it was a bit dry. They use a seasoned French fry and they were good. The other orders were a burger, several sandwiches, and the chicken modiga. There was one member of our party who asked for the children's grilled cheese due to jaw problems and they would not allow an adult to order from the children's menu. Wouldn't the sale of that be better than no sale at all? Wouldn't you rather accommodate someone instead of tell them no? I would think someone could work it out there but no one appeared to care.

Wilted lettuce and undercooked fatty bacon.

Ordered the club sandwich. Undercooked fatty bacon with browning wilted lettuce. Side of applesauce was bland. Hit of cinnamon would have helped. Had some fries from from another guest. Very good. Next time getting burger and fries... Hold the bacon.

Lobster Local Mac N Cheese - Lent Special
Christy M.

Had the Lobster Bites and Local Lobster Mac N Cheese and both were delightful. The lobster is all real generous tail pieces. The batter on the bites was really nice. The cheese in the Mac N Cheese is really creamy and flavorful. Would highly recommend both dishes!

First time visiting TLHB and the set up of the patio worked well for Teddy. This is a new restaurant and management / owner is continuing to work out best processes with their team members to improve efficiency and service. Food was good and so many choices to select. Teddy and I went for the cod sandwich with side of broccoli. Portions are decent for the price paid. We plan to return later this month for a happy hour event.

Glazed Salmon

We went on a Saturday evening and they had a live band which was fun! The servers were attentive and the food was great. Would highly recommend the salads and the glazed salmon. The menu is very large as well.

I love love love this place. I eat here at least once a week. They have a large menu, and everything is good. Highly recommend. Two of my favs are the glazed salmon and fried cod.

Seabass
Gabrielle M.

The ambiance was good, stagged were friendly and attentive. Three of us dinned together and 1 of 3 of us had a 5 star meal. The fried chicken batter was a little too lite and left you wanting more of a fried chicken skin and crunch. The chicken wrap, chicken was a little slimy per our son. The fried pickle appetizer was perfect and the Fried pickle burger with fries was perfect. Would've liked to have given them a 5-star. This is our 3rd visit and we are trying different items although this is my second time with this burger and I'd recommend it as a winner. My rating shouldn't deter you from visiting as if you look at our prior reviews we've had some excellent dishes and great experiences here. The Seabass is delicious. Hopefully the ownership can just us this to continue to improve the food delivery.

I love an authentic Route 66 stop, and this is certainly one of those. From the road, it's difficult to tell how big the place actually is. Once inside, it opens up and really shares its character. We went on a Thursday evening, and it was packed, but not uncomfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone. Our server was friendly and efficient, and she seemed genuinely invested in customer experiences. Our food was outstanding, and there was plenty of it! We even had room for dessert: a chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. It was the size of a dinner plate! This was an outstanding indulgence, and I can't wait to have another one, as soon as my glycemic index allows. LOL The restrooms were pretty darn rough. Urine all over the floor, overflowing trash can, filthy toilet, etc., gave the impression that it hadn't been cleaned since the Route 66 days. Here, I am not focusing on that, since it's not what we came here for. Our overall experience was fantastic and memorable. We look forward to returning to this special historic establishment.

This restaurant is easy to get too, has adequate parking and the restaurant itself is casual and inviting. The staff welcomed us and were very friendly and attentive. Our young waiter was especially helpful with the menu. The food came quickly and was good. Unfortunately, not great. My wife and I both got the trio of meats, brisket, pulled pork and chicken. All were cooked well but under smoked for my liking. The sides we tried were all fresh but again, just good not great. We will try Gastropit again but honestly have had better tasting barbecue at nearby competitors. I know it is relatively new to the scene so overall, it was a good experience!

Cocktails for the night featured a classic old fashion, not the one on the menu. Really well executed with Knob Creek rye. Also had a special Paloma which was tasty and perfect for a summer evening. Dinner included: - Cuban with fries. The missed orders this and she called it one of the best in town. 4.25 - small barbecue salad with pulled pork. This dish, priced at something like $8, is a nice "lightish" meal. Ordered fries because I can't help myself. Salad and fries: 4.25 each.

For the first time in forever we got there during happy hour so what do we do? Save money? No, we order two appetizers instead of one! I always do build your own, you fill out the sheet from a pad on the table choosing your ingredients by category. I usually get the beef but last couple times I have ordered chicken but got similar toppings, Spinach, tomato, chipotle aioli, and fried jalapenos on toasted sourdough. Love it! For a small upcharge you can get a salad as a side, I like to do that because I can steal a few of the delicious fries from my companions. The salad is generous, spring mix, red onion, tomato, croutons. It comes with shaved parmesan, but I ask them to leave that off. The champagne vinaigrette is perfect. This is my favorite burger place, but I like that I can get a great chicken sandwich!

The service is great,…read moreit is a sports bar so there is always a game on (if that's your gig) and the food is very good. They have a large patio that's out front - kind of part of the parking. We opted to sit inside. I think we waited about ten minutes before anyone came to our table. She asked if we had been helped yet and we said no. She got us a cocktail menu (one was not given to us with our food menus). She was a good server throughout our time there! We ordered drinks and a starter and then figured out our entrees. We LOVE big pretzels! I've never had a bad one - until the one we had here. It was not good. There were little black seed type things - maybe poppy seeds? Unusual and not good. But even without that - not good. And the two sauces that came with it weren't good. My husband had pizza and said it was okay. I got fish and chips and did not like it. There were three pieces of fish, tartar sauce, and coleslaw. I chose onion rings for my side. I ate one piece of fish. It was really overcooked. The tartar sauce was not good. I didn't try the coleslaw because it didn't even look like coleslaw! My husband will try just about anything and he wouldn't try it. The onion rings were okay. We were there on a Saturday night and it wasn't very busy. We won't be back.

We told the host that we would be standing on their patio since there was no place to stand inside. After waiting for about a half hour, a new person (I believe the owner) walked out and asked us what we were waiting for. We had been crossed off the list and were just standing around aimlessly for much of the time. We were seated in overflow tables outside, of which there were multiple, and we could have been seated 30 minutes prior. We were told by others in the party that checking in here is often challenging. Off to more info: The interior has a cozy upscale pub feel with sports playing on multiple TVs. There was live music last night with a $5 cover charge, which seems reasonable. The crowd is mostly older and dressed in business casual. I enjoyed the salmon tacos with a side salad. The tacos came with a fresh Sriracha-mayo (or similar) sauce and mango salsa topping. The salad had an avocado ranch dressing. I paired it with a house Pinot Grigio. The server was attentive despite the busy night at this smaller grille. Outdoor seating on the patio has a wind screen with heaters, and we could still hear the music (without being charged a cover fee, bonus). Overall, we would definitely return and just be ready for some errors while checking in.
