I started a list of restaurants that either friends recommend or those mentioned in a positive manner on social media. I read about this place somewhere and added it to the list and we tried it tonight! The patio was empty. I'm guessing it was because it was near 100 degrees. The bar area was pretty full and the dining room was fairly busy when we got there, but we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was pretty new, but she was friendly and gave us some recommendations. The menu looked great so it took us a few minutes to make our choices. We started with drinks and I ordered the Blue Heeler which was nice and summery and refreshing. My husband ordered a beer. We decided to start with the Fried Lobster Bites. We each ordered a sandwich and we split them between the two of us. We got the Local House Burger and the Reuben. We chose fries for our sides. I know the Fried Lobster Bites are popular, but we're not fans. They were too salty, very heavily breaded and the lobster wasn't great. We won't get those again. Both the burger and the Reuben were really good! We ate the Reuben first because the bottom piece of bread was already getting a little soggy (not sure that I've ever had one that didn't get a little soggy). There was a lot of meat on it! The burger was good, but I was already full and only had a few bites. The fries were also very good! We'll definitely be going back! read more

Think of your typical tgif or applebee's, then imagine it brand new and not part of a chain, and that's the vibe TLH gives off. Service is what you'd expect and the food is decent. They have a restaurant side and a sports bar side. My review is for the bar side because the dining half looked... subdued. They have tv's well positioned in the bar side and booths and tables. Go to watch the game, order any of the burgers, spend the extra buck to upgrade to the tots side, and enjoy. It's a nice relaxing way to get your sports and tavern food hit. read more

I was there for lunch and I ordered the small chicken spedini salad with grilled chicken. The lettuce was fresh as were the other ingredients. Most of my grilled chicken was tender but a couple pieces were chewy. The dressing was added to the salad in the kitchen and they didn't add enough. The waitress brought me additional poppyseed dressing. The salad needed extra dimensions of flavor. The salad had different textures which was nice. read more

Went with a group of people during the week. I ordered the Black & Blue Bacon Burger (Blackened Juicy burger topped with bleu cheese crumbles and two strips of crispy bacon | Served on a toasted split top burger bun) with French Fries. I requested the burger to be more medium with a little pink but it was cooked through. The burger is thick. It had the blue cheese crumbles and the bacon and everything was fine but it was a bit dry. They use a seasoned French fry and they were good. The other orders were a burger, several sandwiches, and the chicken modiga. There was one member of our party who asked for the children's grilled cheese due to jaw problems and they would not allow an adult to order from the children's menu. Wouldn't the sale of that be better than no sale at all? Wouldn't you rather accommodate someone instead of tell them no? If I go again I'll get the fried pickles as an appetizer because they were the highlight of the burger. It was a good size burger too! But could have stood a bit more seasoning. The service was fine. My friends and I went here for dinner and ordered drinks. Since we all recently turned 21, we expected to have our IDs checked--totally understandable. One of our IDs was taken to the back, which we assumed might've been a mistake because they didn't ask to take it. Things seemed normal at first: our drink orders were taken, and we were chatting while waiting. Then, a different staff member came over and asked to see our IDs again. She even asked us to name our star signs as if that were some kind of test and then walked away without explanation. Our server returned shortly after to take our food order like normal. About six minutes later, yet another woman approached and said, "We're not going to serve you guys drinks tonight. It's crazy you tried to pull this." We were completely confused because we're all legitimately 21. She said someone in the back believed our IDs were fake. I asked if a police officer could verify them, and asked if they could scan the IDs and she responded that we could speak with the manager. The manager then came over, immediately without even seeing our ID's and told us to leave and "never come back," and called us arrogant. He yelled at us in front of the entire restaurant, which was incredibly unprofessional and embarrassing. We were already planning to leave, but the way we were treated was absolutely out of line. read more

Horrible. My friends and I went out for dinner, and when they ordered drinks they claimed their real ID's were fake. All of our ID's are real and all of us are 21. We explained that they are real and they can scan it or contact the police if they wanted to. They refused to serve them drinks which was okay, but they said "it's crazy that you think you can pull fake ID's on us." Having real ID's we felt really embarrassed and uncomfortable. They got the manager and he rudely approached us and just said "you guys need to leave and never come back here" we explained that we will leave but it's really disrespectful that they are kicking us out when we weren't pulling anything and just trying to have a nice dinner out. The manager raised his voice and told me to "get my wildwood attitude out of here" and i said i wasn't even from here and he said "we'll get your arrogant self out of here." Mind you I am a 21 woman being YELLED at by a manager and completely disrespected in front of EVERYONE. I literally can't believe this just happened. read more

The ambiance was good, stagged were friendly and attentive. Three of us dinned together and 1 of 3 of us had a 5 star meal. The fried chicken batter was a little too lite and left you wanting more of a fried chicken skin and crunch. The chicken wrap, chicken was a little slimy per our son. The fried pickle appetizer was perfect and the Fried pickle burger with fries was perfect. Would've liked to have given them a 5-star. This is our 3rd visit and we are trying different items although this is my second time with this burger and I'd recommend it as a winner. My rating shouldn't deter you from visiting as if you look at our prior reviews we've had some excellent dishes and great experiences here. The Seabass is delicious. We went here last night and everything was fantastic! We got the fried cheese appetizer and it was delicious. We also ordered the fried pickle burger with fries and a ham and pineapple pizza and give all of the food a 10/10. Our Server was really nice and did a great job. We will be back! read more

The food was excellent. We even walked out with 16 oz container of their Chipotle ranch dipping sauce. A few items may have been a bit over spiced but still really well done. This place is a piece of work. We visited this place after church with another couple. Here are a few things that lead to this review I can recall: - waitress said the bar didn't know how to make a cosmo. - one person ordered a vodka & grapefruit and our waitress said they don't carry grapefruit juice. - we went to the bar and order a cosmo and vodka grapefruit. - I ordered a menu item spaghetti & meatballs. Waitress said they don't carry meatballs. - one person ordered a ribeye steak but our waitress said they're out of steak. - my wife ordered a Pinot noir and again our waitress said they don't have that menu item any longer. Copying my review from Google to here. Do not recommend this, and the owner clearly doesn't care about his customers. UPDATE! The owner decided it would be a good idea to post "Please do not come back" (he now deleted, see photo...) to an honest negative review (within minutes). Rather than appreciate honest feedback, Tim would rather disrespect customers. Easily could have said, "I apologize for the experience you had, and would love a chance to make it right." Nope, 1/10 will gladly never return! Wife and I stopped by for an early dinner/Happy Hour for the first time, and will likely not be back. For starters, they do not offer Happy Hour in the main dining room, which is perfectly fine as long as you have signs that say that. Instead, they have table signs promoting happy hour but thankfully our server noticed us looking at it and suggested we move before ordering so we could get the discounts. After moving, we were sat outside and quickly greeted by our new server and placed a drink and app order. The Pretzel Bites were a 5/10, very reminiscent of Joey B's. After that, we ordered a Reuben and Pizza, neither of which would be higher than a 3-4/10. The Reuben (to steal from another review from Google) tasted as though someone knew the ingredients to a Reuben but had never made it before. As for the pizza, we joked that it tasted like they went to Schnucks across the street and bought a cheap pizza to cook. On top of everything, it was about 85-90 outside, and we didn't get a single water refill. Finally, I had to go inside to grab our server to let them know we were finished and ready for the check as they were chatting it up at the host desk. We had our food pushed to the corner and stacked for at least 15 minutes, which if they were attentive, would have signaled them to come check on us (didn't happen obviously). 3/10 overall. read more

This place is great. They have a menu with something for everyone, plus daily specials. I've been several times, but most recently I had the creamy tomato and roasted red pepper soup, which was awesome, and the cranberry walnut salad, which was very good, with lots of cranberries, walnuts, and feta cheese. Great new bar and restaurant on old Manchester in Ellisville-Wildwood area (Schnucks shopping center across from Mobil gas). The environment is comfortable and spacious; staff extremely friendly and helpful; menu is varied with great selections (some common pub food but some great new ideas). And good drink menu. Date night and wanted to try a new place. Arrived a little after 5pm on a Friday. Seated immediately, wait staff very attentive. They were out of baked potatoes, pulled pork, and meatballs. Considering the place is next to a grocery store, kind of surprising. We ordered queso dip and it was very good. For dinner, I got a fish sandwich - too much breading and I think over fried.
