Forgot to write my review sooner, but I had to share this experience. My friends and I were in town looking for a place to grab a bite and decided to try The Local Watering Hole. Unfortunately, it was a really disappointing visit. We stood at the entrance for about 5 minutes with no greeting or acknowledgment. Eventually, we seated ourselves and waited another 10-15 minutes, and still and no one came over, no check-in, nothing. We even tried to make eye contact and get someone's attention, but it felt like we were being completely ignored. What made it even more concerning was that another couple came in as we were walking out and was immediately helped. As a group of people of color, that didn't sit right with us at all. I'm not one to jump to conclusions, but the experience didn't feel welcoming, and that's something I can't overlook. Local sports bar for early dinner. Four of us all ordered different entrees. Fajita quesadillas were good. BLT on sourdough good. Fish and chips , fish was way overdone and very small pieces like fish sticks ,Chicken Fried steak was so bad , small round fried patty a ear of corn , no butter , or flavor and premixed gravy. I came here for a Galentine's Day event my friend hosted. The place is a sports bar so it definitely gives off that vibe. They did let my group set up and decorate for the occasion, so that was really nice. I tried their Garlic Parmesan Fries and those were delicious. I ordered the Chicken Tacos for my meal and they were scrumptious and a generous portion. I loved how fresh everything tasted and the queso and chips were amazing. I have been going to this place for 15 years. Different owners different names. We always loved it because it was simple and easy. We would visit to catch a game or grab a quick drink or bite. The service/waitstaff are lazy. Food is terrible. And we had food served and still no utensils to eat with. (After asking several times) The check is always inflated and wrong. Loved the vibe. Very clean. Went on a Friday about 8 pm. Went for a date night! Had the fish and chips! Awesome fry on the fries and fish. Not greasy and crispy to perfection. The downside was the coleslaw it was gross, just some cabbage splashed with vinegar. Ate one bite and it was not worth another. Disappointed tartar sauce was packaged like from a fast food joint. Considering the plate was $18 it was not really worth it since they cut major corners on what makes a fish and chip basket. Didn't even have malt vinegar. Papa introduced his marketing portal guy Paul to us who was pretty awesome. Hes has the first phone charging and marketing portal to us. How awesome is that???!!! Hanging at this spot was pretty awesome. We met some locals and made some lasting impressions and new relationships. The "Cheers" of west Southlake / east Keller. Full of regulars. We love to go sit at the bar, have a few drinks, shoot the breeze with whoever is there and just chill. The food is surprisingly great and the menu is more than standard bar food, which I appreciate since it seems every place has the same fried cheese, fried pickles, chips and salsa, and nachos. If you are not a "regular" don't bother going to this sports bar. You will get completely ignored and be treated worse than everyone else! We went to watch the Stars game tonight. They didn't bother telling us the kitchen was closing so it became too late for food. Then the game went into double overtime. I didn't know it but they stayed open late. They never called for "last call" so when I tried to order a beer, I was told it was too late. Ten minutes later, they refilled a beer for a guy next to me who they knew. Another ten minutes later, they offered a round of shots to the people on my other side. I couldn't even get their attention to give me water despite the fact both of the bartenders were within 5 feet of me. Great pub in Keller Texas with a nice menu and fantastic selection of drinks. I visited during "dry January" so can vouch for their ice tea! The most appealing aspect of the Local Watering Hole is their outside deck that is DOG FRIENDLY. Our server took our drink order and asked if he could bring a bowl of water for our dog, which was very much appreciated. The food is good too. I sampled each of the street tacos. The pulled pork were my favorite followed by the chicken. My son had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was delicious. We will definitely be back! read more

This is the first time we decided to do dinner. Decent beer selection but not great. Jennifer was a great server, but it was just her so she was busy and as a result the services was slow. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry. One of us had a burger and said it was good. I had chicken quesadillas and they were good. Our third patron had garlic Parmesan wings and they could have been cooked a wee bit longer. He said they were just soaking in butter sauce (too much in his opinion). What an absolute disappointment!!! Went here with my dad for our first visit to celebrate my birthday. The service was sufficient but the food was pathetic and totally overpriced. $17 for terrible fish (clearly from the frozen food section at Wal-Mart) and chips, $13 for a nasty veggie burger, and $4 for a side salad that consisted nearly entirely of white and yellow pieces of iceburg lettuce with a few tiny pieces of tomato and cucumber. Perhaps the options in Keller are just too limited? In my countless visits to Keller I have noticed this town has an overabundance of cheap and fast food type restaurants. That is still no excuse for this "hole" to serve such crap. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go. This place should stop serving "food" and stick to drinks. read more

Crazy high prices! We tried this place on a whim an d we almost walked right back out after seeing the menu. A burger a fries will run you between $13-16. My wife ordered the adult quesadillas, $13 for a medium sized tortilla with cheese, no pico, no meat, nothing. It's literally the same plate as the kids quesadilla my son ordered for $7. If they cut their prices by about 30% I might consider coming back.
