My husband really enjoyed his burger. He said it was absolutely delicious. I ordered a salad which usually I'm not so sure about it was wonderful fresh and crisp with dressing served on the side. We have been here one time before, and the service was equally pleasant. This is a bar so food can be served at the bar, pub style dining table, tables with chairs, and booths, I love the fact that the music is quiet and you can still hold a conversation. Every neighborhood needs a place like OTIH and we are glad to have them in Keller. Food is consistently good, menu is diverse enough to satisfy everyone, great for kids with good value and portions on the kids menu and ice cream and games. Lots of TVs and good margaritas and a bar better than all the similar places. Even when we think maybe we will change it up and go somewhere else, we all know nothing can beat it so we end up back where we all belong at Old Town. It's like Cheers. If you need some help with service, just remember the young kids maybe at the counter may not know it all, generally a manager is at the bar and they will always take care of you if you ask. read more

Always start with the good. Food was very good and fresh. It was prepared and arrived in a timely manner. However the order process totally lacks any customer service. Every food service place needs to learn from Chick-fil-A how to treat customers! Their only concern was to get my order out of the way so they could gather around and talk to one another. No one was waiting behind me to order. There was a small issue and when I pointed it out, no apologies or an attempt to make it right. Currently the restaurant business is struggling. Several establishments in this area have closed their doors. It is sad to see, so I will definitely choose a restaurant that values me as a customer. Again look at Chick-fil-A, not the cheapest option or overly exceptional food, but their CUSTOMER SERVICE is impeccable! There are other places that offer similar food as Old Town Ice House. Please don't sell your chicken tenders, they're obviously frozen. You do other things really well except for that. Also these are the saddest chicken tenders I've seen in my life. Ordered them sauced and you couldn't even tell. Service is always good but this was awful. read more

Nice little dive bar in Keller. The beer is cold, bartender looks like she's been here for years so its a regular type of bar! The bad reviews are apparent they aren't used to dive bars lol! This has been one of my favorite places and it pains me to have to drop a 2 review but I always review based on the experience. We went for a date night on a Sunday night. Not busy at all. A couple cold beers and I was ready to sink my teeth into a double patty mushroom Swiss burger. Now, I'll start off by saying I love their lodes fries. Lots of cheese, bacon and always comes with sides of ranch. Tonight when I took my first bite of the burger my lips puckered up like the Bitter Beer Man. It tasted like they cooked the burger then rolled it in salt. My wife loves salt so I had her try to verify. She took one bite and said she couldn't even eat it. I hate taking food back because you never know what you'll get back. I managed to take a couple more bites and it was so salty I couldn't even continue. Every time I took a bite it was like I was eating straight from a salt block. No kidding. Ruined our dinner but I'll try again. I just hope this isn't a pattern. read more

We like this place as a local hang out for us and our kids after our kids baseball games. The back part is kid friendly as it has a few games (bring your quarters! Lol) for them to be entertained with. Also there is a little patch of grass that they can run around on too. The food is your standard choices of burgers, fries and other bar food. We went here one Friday after work so I could have a Bloody Mary & Javier could have some Coronas. It is a family friendly place. Lots of kids with their parents. It has a nice patio & inside the place it's very relaxed. All the patrons seemed to know all the staff, because they would ask how each other was & give hugs. Not just with 1 table but many. We didn't eat anything but their menu had a nice variety of burgers & wings. Fried stuff that I wanted to try. I will be going back to try the food. read more

I usually drop by during the week, and it's very family friendly, the staff really takes care of the patrons. The barkeep during the weekdays is the best. The Reuben was good, however service was slow for a late lunch and they were out of the first 2 beers they had listed and liquor for my wife's drink she wanted. The other seasonal drink she ended up selecting was amazing though. If you like lemon pepper wings, the lemon is strong. The fries needed more seasoning though so we dipped them in the excess seasoning to make them pop. read more

Walked in and instantly asked to leave because they said they didn't open until 11am. I had my daughter and wife with me, and didn't feel like staying outside in the hot. Went back again yesterday, four dollar margaritas for National Tequila Day great drinks, the deep fried mushrooms are great and I highly recommend the Old Town Classic Burger...excellent On the minus side the fries were wayyy to salty...but they were great tasting...unlike to ones the Bottlecap used to serve...just a little less salt would be nice.and the gal at the counter was so baked we ordered mustard. Mayo, and ketchup on the side with the burgerand instead got ketchup and for some odd reason a tiny cup of sautéed mushroom....which wasn't a huge problem and made us laugh a good bit Definitely a must try on Main Street read more

I was not a fan of the fish and shrimp that I got. The batter was chewy and neither had any flavor.

First time back here since the change from Bottle Cap Alley, and we LOVED IT! We were fans of Bottle Cap, but we were pleasantly surprised that the Ice House is even better. I had the Texas Melt and it was excellent! Juicy, flavorful, and spicy! They also serve tater tots...boom!! Who doesn't LOVE tots!! My wife had the SXSW Salad and really enjoyed it. (She was eyeing my tots and melt, but I didn't share.) We'll be back want to try The Hangover Burger. It looks ridiculous!! read more

Long post but worth the read. Old Town Ice House has been mine and my family's go to place for the past decade or so. It used to be known as Bottlecap Alley, but in the last year or two it changed names. Not sure if it's the same owner but I assume it is, a waitress had told us it had to be renamed because the two owners split up. This summer my family from Austin stayed with us and we went to drink and eat here more than we ever have before, my uncle tipped the waitresses 100% of the tab every time we were there and we were always treated very well, no complaints. On August 17 my grandmother passed away and of course later that night we all went to have a drink here. We got to talking with the owner and he was so sweet and gave all of the women in our group a free "old town ice house" hat and chatted with my uncle and my dad. Another great time here, as usual. On August 18th my uncle wore a red shirt and another one of my uncles wore a salmon shirt. As they were leaving, some guy in the bathroom started harassing them calling them names (that I'm not willing to repeat) and questioning why they were wearing "girly" colors. They explained they wore these colors in honor of their mom who passed the day before, but still the drama continued. Turns out this guy was a friend of the owners, and the owner got involved and started yelling in my uncles faces. It was 4pm on a Wednesday and this guy was drunk at his place of ownership. Slurring over his words and screaming at my uncles for causing trouble. My uncle explained that they come here all the time and he had just given everyone in the family a free hat, and the owner literally said "yeah i see you here all the time but that doesn't mean anything. And i don't give a f*ck that your mom died". And then proceeded to threaten calling the police. Like REALLY? How UNPROFESSIONAL. It was his job to deescalate the situation and instead he made matters worse. I've raved about this place for so long but I just really cannot believe someone would act like that, whether you own the place or not. Personally we will never be back, and I hope others consider what kind of person they're supporting when eating and drinking here ! read more

My dad and I ordered curbside takeout this past Saturday--we both got the turkey burger. He got regular fries and I got sweet potato fries. I thought the food tasted okay, but he said his burger was dry. Parking is nearly nonexistent. It would be nice if two or three spots would be reserved for takeout (a large percentage of restaurants had that before the pandemic). Appreciate the option to "build your own" burger and that there are several salads to choose from. I think we will try it again in the future. read more

I hate it when they haven't been cooked enough and you bite them and the whole onion comes out with the first bite. Garbage. 4 of us ordered. $54. Wings were terrible. Threw them away and replaced with blue cheese burger which was way way over cooked and they didn't put on bacon.
