I used the Lock Lady locksmith several years ago when I needed to re key one of my front door locks to have a separate key for my housekeeper that wouldn't leave my whole house vulnerable. She was so knowledgeable, efficient and competitively priced that I gave her name to my colleagues at Phoenix PD, family and friends. I called her back out last week to re key my whole house after someone entered my home uninvited with a key I'd given them years prior. She not only did all the re keys; she also pointed out the cause of worsening door sticking and inability to easily open and close my doors (roof work and old house settling). She filed down the lock returns (if that's the correct term?) and righted some locks we had previously incorrectly installed upside down (she explained that is not optimal because it diverts ambient dust right into the lock mechanism and eventually damages the lock). She is a WEALTH of information!! She left us with a much needed sense of security and with doors that open/close and lock/unlock so much easier. I highly recommend her!! read more

My mother unfortunately passed away a couple days ago while in her home. She had multiple caregivers, and drivers that had keys to her home, amongst others. I needed someone very quickly as to protect my mother's home, and assets from potential unwelcome entry. I looked on Yelp, and found The Lock Lady's great record and reviews after already making a couple of other calls to other locksmiths, none of which would come out quickly for me. I told Laura of my problem, and her compassion for my situation was wonderful, and agreed to come right away. She practically beat me to my mother home which was an half an hour away, changed 3 locks for me very quickly and professionally in her clean, beautifully wrapped mobile locksmith truck. She gave me a heartfelt condolence, and said goodby, and was off to another call. Customer service is the worst I have seen in a long time! I am extremely upset with the quote she gave me on the phone based upon the amount of locks in my house, then went $125 over the quote without even warning me in advance. I understand that I was not at the house when she completed the work, but she had my contact info, it was even on the invoice for goodness sake. I courtesy call would have been nice before completing work that was above and beyond the quoted price. Take some responsibility Lock Lady and realize that you were somewhere at fault by not contacting the OWNER of the house to say that your quote of $200 was wrong and the work you needed to do is $125 more. Give the OWNER an option to make a decision. Then when I called to confront her about the massive increase in my bill she had the audacity to say "If you're going to be upset, then be upset at your mother". I am sorry, but who in their right mind would say this to a customer???? Laura the actual owner of the company placed blame on my own mother for her lack of communication with completing work in my house. After she hung up on me, I called back (in which she didn't answer) to ask for at least an explanation of my bill because I am 100% positive she charged me for an extra lock which equals about $30 in work and keys!!!! SHE HAS YET TO RETURN MY CALL. I also believe cheap materials were used in replacing a door knob that I could have purchased and done myself because it wasn't even a door knob with a lock on it. A simple door knob that cost $15 at the store, cost me a total of $80 for materials and labor!!! I recommend that if you use her to make sure you inspect all materials before having them installed and get a firm price before letting her complete work, otherwise she just might blame YOUR mother for her incompetency. read more

Laura came to our rescue and unlocked our car and recovered the keys that were left in the trunk. She showed up in 15 minutes after we called and went above and beyond in helping us. When we discovered there was no trunk release in the car, she crawled into the trunk through the back seat to trigger the emergency release in the trunk. What a pro. Laura is WONDERFUL!!!! We had a key break in our front door lock and since that obviously meant we needed to contact a locksmith, we used this as an opportunity to rekey our entire house, something we'd been needing to do since we moved in months ago. I checked out Yelp and saw that The Lock Lady had excellent reviews, so I went ahead and contacted her through her website. I sent her a message late last night and received a call from Laura by 8:30 this morning. We spoke on the phone for a good 15 minutes, I emailed her some photos of our doors/locks, and she helped us decide on a course of action. She had time to come by this afternoon between 12:00-3:00, and she came right at 2:00, calling when she was 30 minutes away. Laura is VERY thorough; she gave us a cost quote prior to starting the work; she was quick, pleasant, and cleaned up the mess from drilling into the wood frames. She is very concerned about her customers' safety and security, and she even provided helpful security tips. All in all, she rekeyed all of our locks, replaced the front door lock with a keypad entry lock, and fixed two door frames to make the doors close properly. We are very pleased with Laura the Lock Lady's work and would absolutely not hesitate to call her back the next time we need a locksmith. Thank you so much, Laura! read more
