I have come here several times for a casual meal, a family get-together, and to have a nice Friday or Saturday night with some live music and good drinks! I always enjoy coming to this restaurant as they have a unique menu that combines American classics with some Asian dishes as well! Went yesterday and had a Korean Rice bowl that included Korean brisket, sunny side up egg, veggies, rice, and a nice chili kick to top it all off! My mom had the roasted beet salad which was perfect for a warm summer day! Our bill came out to $45 and we left happy and full! The wait staff is younger and work fast even when the restaurant is pretty packed! Definitely recommend if you are in the Palmyra_PA area! Quality: 5/5 Customer service: 4/5 Cost: 4.5/5

The food was really good. I ordered some brussels sprouts, garlic, Parm, wings, and tacos with Carne Asada. The service was exceptional, and it was so beautiful from the lighting to the warmth of that heated igloo.

The vibe of a cool bar and fusion restaurant is spot on. Live plants, industrial vibe, with modern twists is the scene. There is a patio, bar, and quiet dining. The service was efficient, friendly, and all you could ask from the experience. Thanks Casey S. The Sushi was good but normal. Their rice bowls were awesome flavor explosions. I highly recommend.

It's very cute inside. We started with drinks that were pretty good. I ordered coffee and they had no dairy alternatives for creamers. We ordered the avocado Benedict and the Philly breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was decent, nothing special. My avocado Benedict was very cold when I got it. The avocados on it were not ripe at all and I had a hard time cutting through it with a knife. The waiter told me it was because they freeze the avocados so even if I got new ones, they would be hard too. I asked if I could get my food warmed up or re made. He told me it was because the avocados were frozen it made the whole dish cold. He ended up removing the dish from the bill.

Came here for breakfast and were seated inside. Our server was Austin. He was friendly, efficient, and wasted no time taking our orders. For breakfast we ordered: The Breakfast BLT, Omelet Sunrise and The Meat lovers Omelet, coffee and a couple cocktails. The food was delicious and Austin was great. He frequently checked on us, refilled the water carafe, and made sure we had plenty of coffee & cocktails. Another server named Party brought out our food and was friendly, telling us all about the restaurant. This place is beautiful inside and out. They put a lot of money into the renovations here and it shows. They have a very large bar with plenty of seating, tables & high tops. They also offer outdoor dining in addition to another bar area and large parking lot. We loved the food, service and atmosphere here. Can't wait to come back for lunch or dinner and sit outside on the patio.

Average breakfast spot. Would recommend making reservations - we walked in and immediately got seated with our reservations, but the group in front of us had a 30 minute wait. The Bloody Mary was good. Servers were attentive and great.

breakfast was very good, service gets a little overwhelmed when the breakfast crowd shows up. ambiance is very good, sound dampening is needed due to large crowds. Amanda is an amazing bartender. very hard worker and always attentive to customers

There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!

In the middle are three gorgeous chandeliers, and at the heart of it all is the bar. We were seated upstairs with a view of the downstairs and it was absolutely amazing. For starters we got the oysters which were delicious!! We're from Maryland so we're very judgy with our oysters, but these were great. We've have oysters that were not great out this way so we were nervous, but Rubicon delivered excellence! Next we had the truffle toast special and their octopus. What an amazing pair. The octopus was an absolute delight. It wasn't over cooked and the yucca it was served with was a great compliment to it. The toast was so light and rich at the same time. The truffle added such beautiful depth and complexity without being physically dense. For our mains I had the filet special with mushrooms and my partner had the lamb. Both were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and served. I'll be dreaming of the mushrooms that were served with my steak for weeks to come. We finished off our dinner with the dark chocolate lava cake and two espresso martinis. Both of which were stunning. The cake was moist and not too sweet like some chocolate cakes can be and the espresso martini was perfectly balanced. Rubicon is worth the drive if you're not local and worth the money if you are. Though I felt the lobster ravioli needed a touch more of something or a bit of a kick, I very much enjoyed it! We ended the meal with a triple chocolate ice cream that was heavenly! Our server was excellent and kind and attentive to our needs. Though I am not usually a fan of a built in, mandatory 20% gratuity fee, the servers and staff definitely earned it and more! This is fantastic both with or without the crostini bread. The menu did say truffle and hot honey glaze however, I only tasted the traditional honey flavor. No heat or truffle flavors. Crab cake - single 8/10 Crab cake was good. I liked the panko crust on it. It was just a hair dry, so it really needed a sauce. However the whole grain mustard "sauce" that it came with was actually just the mustard, it was not a sauce at all- which does not pair well with the crab cake at all in my opinion- It really needed a Remoulade or aioli, just something more on the creamier side rather than straight mustard. The risotto was cooked perfectly for me, it was hard to tell what the flavor was though without reading the menu (it was lemon Parmesan). I didn't understand how the risotto got its reddish-orange color though since neither lemon or Parmesan are that color. The asparagus was cooked perfectly, and was pretty good. Center cut Filet 9/10 Ordered medium, it was cooked perfectly with a warm pink center. The mashed potatoes were super dry, they needed cream or butter or something to make them better and more flavorful. The red wine Demi was pretty good, you could definitely taste the wine and it kinda also tastes like mushrooms in a way. Asparagus again, was cooked perfect. Vanilla bean Crème brûlée 9/10 The custard was amazing- definitely a 10/10. The sugar on top is what brought me down a point because it was just so thick, it really overpowered the custard a little bit, so a thinner caramelized sugar layer would have been perfect. Chocolate Lava cake 8/10 Yummy chocolate cake with a molten lava center, paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream. The "lava" in the center though was not very much, and definitely needed a little more.

Even on a weeknight, the restaurant was adequately packed, so I would strongly recommend making a reservation if you're planning to dine here. A few things to know before you go: Popular restaurant that can be quite busy, even during the work week. Reservations are a good idea, especially during dinner hours. There is a small parking lot surrounding the restaurant, as well as street parking. Both were full when I arrived. There is a free parking garage across the street behind the storefronts, which ended up being the easiest parking option. For drinks, I ordered the Peach Sangria, and it was excellent. Refreshing, flavorful, and not overly sweet, it paired nicely with dinner and was one of the highlights of the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the: Chicken Marsala Sautéed chicken breast with mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce served over house-made linguini or mashed potatoes & asparagus. Unfortunately, this dish didn't quite meet my expectations. The Marsala sauce itself was decent, but by the time the meal arrived, the linguini was somewhat cold. As a result, the noodles had begun to harden and stick together, which affected the overall experience. Considering the price point, I didn't feel the dish offered good value, and it's not something I would order again. That said, the restaurant's popularity, lively atmosphere, and excellent sangria make me interested in returning. I'd be curious to try some of the other menu offerings on a future visit, as there were several dishes that looked appealing. Overall, while my entrée was disappointing, the atmosphere and drink selection were enough that I'd be willing to give Chocolate Avenue Grill another chance.
