We went this past Sunday evening with some friends and this was such a good find. Hands down this is one of the best burgers I've had in a long time!! Service was excellent. The lady that took out order also served us, she was very helpful with the menu. I heard this is family owned but I'm not really sure as I also heard they own Omar's. It's nice and clean, pretty spacious and chill. We went on a game night and they had the TVs on the game with good music playing in the background. We really enjoyed it here. We each ordered something different and unfortunately I didn't get a photo of my burger. I had the Chipotle Cheeseburger with the homemade fries, my husband got the Bacon Jam Smash Burger with onion rings. Our friends got the Patty Melt with onion rings and the Mushroom Lover with curly fries. We wiped our plates clean. One of our friends never finishes his plate, he did here. I hope the fries never change!! They're homemade cut and fried to perfection. They have a desert there on the counter which we've never had and the waitress gave us a sample and it was delicious!! This comfortable new family run Burger, Sandwich, Wings (and more) restaurant is along the busy shopping and dining district of Waxahachie of Highway 77 in University Plaza. Modestly priced, we were impressed with the size, quality and freshness of our burgers and the sides. My husband ordered the Border Burger with French Fries and additional Onion Rings. ($11+3.50+6.00) I ordered the Bacon Blue Cheese Burger with Onion Rings. ($10.50+3.50) The Border Burger came with guacamole, shredded lettuce, a sliced tomato, and onion and was clearly cooked medium well. My husband said that the meat was still tender and that it was a substantial Burger. His favorite was actually the fresh cut fries. Toothsome and perfectly done, I thought they were tasty, too, even better than the onion rings which are usually my favorite. Now my test is usually a bacon cheese burger but The Burger Spot has Blue Cheese! Yummy! So how was it? Pretty good. They cooked the bacon nice and crispy and the blue cheese was delish. I was warned that they do their burgers medium well which is just not my thing. I still like them a little pink inside. It's why I don't usually eat them out, but he said they would shoot for medium. Mmm, maybe? It was still very good. I will say that I like a solid piece of any lettuce vs. Shredded lettuce on a burger, but it was fresh! You could tell. It's just that a small amount of shredded lettuce gets lost. I asked for more pickles and some mustard and with ketchup, we were set. Definitely worth the price. Those fries are so very good. I saw that they have fries with combinations of other foods - mushrooms, steak, cheese, Nachos. I'll bet it is all delicious with those fries!! The restrooms were very clean as was the restaurant. There's plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it. I would like to come back and try one of their several chicken sandwiches or the Philly Cheesesteak.
