This was a pretty cool sports bar. I just wanted a little snack so I ordered the brisket tacos. They were really good I tore them up. I definitely could have had 3 more. Tehe. I ordered a margaritas and my friend got and old fashioned. I didn't specify a type of margarita, so the bartender gave me the original one I guess, It was yuck. It didn't taste much much like a margarita to me. I told the bartender I didn't like it very much and wanted something with a bit more flavor and color or something. She mixed up something else or have me a different flavor, but it still wasn't good. Maybe next time I'll inquire about their signature drinks if I go there again. It was a slow night, so we got our food and drinks pretty fast though. After that margarita disappointed, I decided to leave and go to another spot nearby to get drinks. read more

Stopped by for Sunday game while we were in the area. There was a weird smell to the place but overall clean. Food was good, wings and angus burger. Fries were cooked perfect with good flavor. Decently stocked bar and plenty of TVs for watching from anywhere in the place. read more

Unfortunately I don't have much positive to say about Touchdown other than it being a convenient spot for games or a late night bite & drink only because it's close to home. I'd say your best bet would be to hit Buffalo Wild Wings before considering coming to Touchdown. My friend & I both sat at the bar, then ordered the brisket (already not expecting the greatest from a sports bar) but the food took forever to come out & it was room temperature. I had the brisket tacos, they were almost flavorless had it not been for the bit of cilantro & diced onion. The red salsa (very chunky) that came with it was def meant for chips because it just did not compliment the tacos whatsoever, the slices of lime did almost nothing since they were dry. 3 tiny tacos, with diced brisket for $17 that did not live up to that price point whatsoever. My friend was disappointed with his burger that seemed more like a sloppy Joe with the same diced brisket that my tacos had. That was $15 & also fell short of being worth the money. Street Tacos (Brisket) -- 3/10 edible, but would never crave them. Brisket Burger -- 4/10 looked good compared to the tacos, onions were 2 tiny thin rings & fries just existed on the plate Not this it's required, but some common courtesy that you'd expect at any decent restaurant would've been nice, like asking for refills, if the food came out right, or if we were ready to tab out. The both of us were ready to go for about 10min before I finally got the attention of (not the bartenders, nor the waitresses), but a guy who I don't know the position of's to tab us out. The bartenders (2) were both occupied scrolling through one of their phones & having a full on conversation far too deep to pay mind to anyone trying to get some service. Mind you, we went on a slow Sunday night around 10pm & there were other people present but not enough for the service to be so poor. One thing I can say is that I did like the aesthetic of the bar itself, it was nice, clean, pleasing to the eye. From outside it looks really cool because you can see the inside entirely (would be very easy to find your friend(s) here). The music being played inside is mostly hip hop, so that's cool. The bar is placed in the center & takes up 90% of the restaurant so I'd assume on game days it gets packed quickly. Thanks to the guy who didn't tell me his real name, but told me it was G, for tabbing us out so we could finally leave. Touchdown still needs major improvement in their service & food areas before it can be considered a go-to place for games. I'll wait to see some more positive reviews before I decide to even possibly return & try again. read more

my work takes me all over this Country and typically I'm in one location for a week. I go out of my way to find independent local bars to chat with the locals and if there's a jukebox I'll play about 20 of my favorite songs. just regular music , nothing whiny or heavy metal, just regular music and have 3 to 4 beers whilst listening. Regardless of my drink tab, I leave a $20.00 tip. So 4 songs in and almost my first beer finished some dude who either owns or works at the bar decided my music wasn't for him and started to select Rap music. I'm not a lover of Rap music so I chose to go elsewhere and won't return. My point being is, the customer comes first before staff members. Am I wrong? read more

Dee Dee is a terrible bartender. Terrible service. Attitude is horrible. She did not greet when she came up just gave us the menu and left. This is the 2nd time she has served us and she has been terrible both times. We will not be returning. We received the same feedback from the people beside us. The worst martini I ever had is housed at this place. An extra dirty gin martini is my go-to, and as long as you have gin, olive juice, and vermouth, its pretty hard to mess up. A friend and I dipped inside of this neighborhood bar to avoid the golf ball sized hail that was coming down in Dallas (and in the month of May?!) We were promptly greeted by the young server, and she introduced herself as Breanna. Super sweet, attentive, and just overall warm. We sat down to review their menu and instantly noticed the pricing. "Gah damn, they high!" I said aloud. Ya'll, it's a very basic bar---kind of in the middle of nowhere and they want $16 for a plain burger? I think high dollar restaurant, Knife, even has a cheaper burger. I put my menu down because it was at that point, I knew I wouldn't be eating there. My friend has given up the devil's juice, so she ordered a VIRGIN mojito. The devil still has me in his grasp, so I went with my go-to, a dirty martini--extra dirty. The beverages came out roughly 10 minutes later. I knew we were going to have a problem when I saw a red coffee stirrer in my drink--and no olives. This is a sports bar---very similar to a Boomerjacks or something so I didn't trip. Ya'll, I took one sip, and it took everything in me not to spit that sh!t right back out! Oh, my goodness--it tasted like lemon juice concentrate and salted water. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. My friend tried her mojito, and it was just as bad. We didn't want to be "those" customers, so we sat there and drank the worst cocktail (in her case, "mocktail") we've ever had in our lives. It gets worse from here!!! Breanna brings out our check. $35 for the 2 drinks!!?? I was floored. The struggle martini was $15 and the NON-ALCOHOLIC mojito was $15 as well. They also charged $5 in miscellaneous beverage taxes. I told Breanna that there must be a mistake. Breanna ever-so-preciously confirmed that the price was the price. I couldn't believe it! We immediately paid and exited the bar with the quickness!! Touchdown is a nice hike in the walls sports bar. There's seating throughout and lots of TV's to watch sports events. There is a love DJ who plays R&B , hip hop , and other miscellaneous music which was pretty enjoyable. I opted for the blue lagoon and fried chicken burger . Very pleased with my meal, they give you a good portion size . They didn't skimp on the fries and the fried chicken burger was delicious. The bread was soft and the Buffalo sauce that was added was a nice touch. The blue lagoon hit the spot , not quite an adios MF but a good alternative. Waitress was very courteous and helpful . The reviews were mediocre but I really felt like going to a sports bar with the guys. So we went. It was.....meh. Service was great, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the brisket "burger". I envisioned a glorious masterpiece of a hamburger with brisket on top. To my dismay it was a brisket sandwich, not a burger. And it's chopped brisket. And it's mixed in bbq sauce. Both are strikes for me. I prefer my brisket not chopped and not covered in bbq sauce. I want to taste the brisket! It was a decent sandwich, at least the bbq tasted good, it was just all you could taste. The French fries were exceptional and I'm not even a big fry person. We have been coming to Touchdown since it opened. A great place close to home for watching sports. You can order from the Touchdown menu or from Kickin Corner Seafood and Daiquiri which is in the same complex. Either way the food is good. The service is great, and ambience changes depending on when you come. Weekend nights are usually crunk. Other times are more laid back. Another location is opening soon in GP. read more

A GREAT sport's bar! We counted 13 wall mounted televisions with 6-8 over the bar. A welcomed restaurant and bar to the area! We enjoyed hot appetizers, jalapeño mozzarella sticks with marinara, spicy Buffalo shrimp, but the gator bites were spectacular. Praiseworthy table service. My coke glass was refilled numerous times! Food Prices were extremely reasonable; main courses $6-12, appetizers range from $5-6, salads, burgers (see menu post). Saturday and Sunday Brunch are featured 11-3p shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, egg dishes, mimosas are $6.00 a glass. However worth mentioning our server was uncertain if mimosas were bottomless but cocktail pitchers May jazz up a brunch date. To her defense we were here during a weeknight not brunch :D There's a smoke shop next door. Plenty of parking available. Cigar fans were sitting on the front patio enjoying their cigars. Smoke free indoors but go get your smokes on the patio. By the way, I was told 4-legged babies are welcome on the patio. read more

To start off, this place is garbage. My burger was okay, but definitely not exceptional or unique. It tasted like any other burger that you would order at any other sports bar. My aunt and uncle ordered sliders and I ordered a burger. I don't know how long it takes to make sliders, but they took about 25-30 minutes after my burger came out:( They also gave our table all of the wrong drinks. The music was also way too loud. And after all of that, their prices are WAY too high and they charged us for the meal that they took 30 mins to put out and also made wrong the first time. Came here to catch the lakers game with a buddy and was very pleased with my experience. Upon walking in we sat at the bar. They had some good music playing, I'm talking 90s,00's vibe with the basketball game on tv as well. Can't beat that. The drinks were good as well and the bartender kept them coming. In town for a basketball camp. Found this spot..1st day 7/21...had a great bloody mary..service was great. Came back in the evening...for dinner. Same person waited on us..GREAT SERVICE! PWe decided to return for another great bloody mary. (7/23) Unfortunately, our waitress was new..could yell she didn't know how to make bloody mary. After 25 minutes I finally got my bloody mary. I was pleasantly surprised..it was actually pretty good. I asked for mild to spicy..actually in the middle. It was spicy..nonetheless it was pretty good. The food took 45-50 minutes...we arrived at 11:50pm..didn't get food until 12:25pm..very poor service today..thus 3 stars read more

This place is close to where I live so I wanted to love it. Well, the drinks are overpriced especially for being in Desoto. $6 beers and $25 for a bucket of 6. That's not bad but for this area I would expect less. Plus the beers are hot. I bought 3 buckets and not once were they cold. The wings were ok but again, overpriced. Wine was $12 for some non name brand. The sound system is installed but for some reason they don't use it. There was a DJ and he used his speaker. I wish they had a better happy hour and I would visit more. If I'm bored and don't feel like driving, I would come back. I don't plan on it though. read more

Amazing atmosphere, but it was rude customer service. The food was fantastic, would recommend if the customer service was better.

First, the place is a nice sports bar with plenty of TV's. The wings are pretty good, the beers were nice and cold and mixed drinks are okay. Made a visit on a Saturday afternoon, place was not crowded at all. Our server was not very attentive and could have sold us more drinks and got a bigger tip with better service. I will make a visit but sit at the bar next time. read more

Stopped in to watch Stars Game 1 of Western Conference Finals. Upon entering every single TV was on Miami/Boston for Basketball Playoffs - All 30+ TVs, which may make sense if that was the only game on.... except Stars were playing Game 1 of Western Conference Finals! Asked the bartender if they could put one TV on Stars. A minute later she came back and told us that the manager said "NO". We were basically told we are not welcome. This place cares nothing about your local sports, even local playoff sports when they are in the Conference Finals. There was also a Rangers game being played, but no where to be found on any TV in the joint. 30 TVs all on one game, and not even a local game. ridiculous. read more

We had habanero wings with fries and they were AMAZING! Everything you want in fries. Crispy, hot and flavorful along with the wings. Bartender was lovely and very helpful. I order the oldest drink known to man. A Long Island Ice Tea and it tasted like trash. I would think that's bartender school 101. The Brisket Tacos were fatty and not hot (as in heat). Desoto is known as a commuter city, so I am happy to see new developments and restaurants pop up here and thrive. Touchdown is just what our little city needed. I took my dad and boyfriend on a Thursday night to watch a cowboys game. Our server Taylor was awesome but she was doing three jobs and was stretched thin. The kitchen was also down two cooks which led to delays in getting our food. Once the food arrived we were thoroughly satisfied. We had wings and burgers, and 3 rounds of cocktails. From our seats, the establishment could benefit from a few more television screens to make the game day experience more pleasurable. It was a lot of people standing and blocking the screens. Also, the sound system could be improved. The sound kinda got drowned out within the acoustics of the place if that makes sense. The owner was present which was a positive sign. There was a young waiter with long hair that kept touching his hair to push it away from his face since it was down. I would recommend he put his hair in a ponytail when serving food. He wasn't my waiter though. Since our first visit, my boyfriend has been back 2 more times ( he loved the wings), so that's a great sign read more

That said, my visit on a Wednesday evening when they had karaoke and a dj was a mixed bag of some great stuff and total disappointment. The good: - Generally pleasant waiting and service staff - Good music and participation camaraderie with the karaoke - Nice set up The Bad: - SLOW food service! Ordered a chicken sandwich which took about 40 minutes to come out. The chicken was not well cooked and tasted like freezer food. The Ugly: ***The Bill*** this place is expensive!! Especially their drinks. Be warned. They don't tell you upfront! Paid over $200 for a couple sandwiches and a few drinks.
