Red the reviews of this place and decided to give it a try. The food was pretty good but we were really disappointed with the service. It was a Sunday evening but it was really busy. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or if that is how it normally operates but the tables were loaded with dishes and no one was bussing tables. About halfway through the visit a woman who I think was the dishwasher came out to clean off the tables finally but that was the only time I saw anyone. By the time we left nearly all the tables were dirty again and no one was bussing them. New customers were just claiming dirty tables. The decor is cute and the place has a lot of potential. We will probably try it again soon to see if our experience was just a one off issue. Based on this experience though, the food was okay but it was no where near worth the price.

Quick and easy ordering. Food was ready quickly. Chicken Caesar wrap was OK. The chips were a little bit crispy than I would prefer.

Pesto Chicken Ciabatta. Yum.

Met with family for a quick lunch. The burgers are great as are the steak fries. I tried the chicken pesto ciabatta sandwich for the first time. Pretty good. You have to really like pesto. All in all, another good experience.

First time at this location. Normally we go to the one in Chapel Hill. This one is brighter with a much more inviting decor, although just as cold inside. We came here specifically for the creamy French Onion soup, which didn't disappoint. Very tasty, although not nearly as hot as the CH location, which I swear comes straight from a boiling cauldron! I wish they had some hot beverages on the menu, but they don't. Just cold bevs. Oh, well.

We went for a Saturday night date and it was a cute, casual spot. The restaurant was packed, but the staff worked quickly to clean a table for us. We ordered our food at the counter and it came out quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. I ordered a blue cheese burger and my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger. The food was fresh and well seasoned! Will return in the near future.

We popped in for lunch today. Had a beautiful Gorgonzola salad with sundried tomatoes and candied walnuts. We woofed that down, so no pictures. Then we got the portabella and bacon pizza and let me tell you, it was worth every penny of the 17.99. ...from the crust to the abundance of bacon, mushrooms and carmalized onions...absolutely delicious. So glad this place is just blocks from our new house and we will go back. Just one note: don't expect charismatic or friendly service if you're looking for that. It's more like no frills, no personality or even no response to some questions we had.

I love it when we decide to try something different and it turns out wonderful! The blue cheese chips - AMAZING! Never had creamy French onion soup before - DELICIOUS! My husband really enjoyed is BBQ chicken pizza too! We're definitely returning!!

Close to museum. Great food selection. Pizza was crispy. Pesto chicken fanatic was tasty!

Average place with a decent menu. It's a self help place. Order your food and come back to pick it up. Self service for drinks, silverware and condiments. The menu has a small variety of choices. They do serve alcoholic drinks but no menu so you have to look at the display at a distance. I ordered the French onion soup which was more creamy than a broth. Not much flavor and pricey for the serving. The onion rings were big. The type you bite and the whole onion comes out. The bleu cheese chips were good and had the right amount of cheese on them. The pizza was mediocre at best. Not a lot of toppings including the cheese and sauce. They do offer milkshakes that look delicious but the food is basic

We both had a classic burger (him with no pickles, me with no special sauce), shared an order of fries, he had an IPA and I got a blackberry mojito for about $40. The employees were friendly and helpful. And I feel like everything was priced well and appropriately. The not so good: The meat was just meh and the onions were straight up burnt. Not caramelized, burnt. Overall, the burger was decent, just not great like we were hoping. We sat at our table for quite some time and had a few drinks. It was busy but never too crowded. There was a line but it moved quickly. I would reccommend this place to grab a quick bite before a DPAC show!

This will definitely be a spot we visit when we want something quick and scrumptious if we are in the area!

I was hoping I would not be disappointed. Downtown Durham on Parrish Street I do believe. I went there midday and there was a sparse lunch crowd already seated when I arrived. The warmly lit space presents nice aesthetic as you walk into the restaurant. A very chill and comfortable atmosphere. I love the bar and the mirrored wall nestled behind it. The spot is pretty laidback and very clean, but has a bit of a rustic nuance to it as well. I like that. The serving staff were extremely nice and helpful towards advising me in making my selection -- with me being a first-timer and all. I kept it simple...I chose the Classic Burger (pink) with pepper jack cheese, bacon marmalade, and as a side, I had to go with the Dirty Fries -- 'cause that's how I roll y'all. About the food: I have to say, the burger was staunchly built and crafted with artistry. Nice and tall with a seriously tasty bun encapsulating everything. Perfectly well-seasoned meat and the first bite was simply delightful. I noticed as I got towards the center of the meat, it was bit less juicy than the surrounding parts of the burger, but nevertheless still tasty. My Dirty Fries were delicious In the end; the experience as a whole was quite delightful and I would definitely like to go there again -- perhaps try a different burger to expand upon my experience with this place. Gotta try out That Bar y'all! I do recommend it for those who haven't had a chance to go by there to check it out.

For the main, I ordered the standard burger despite several limited-edition options being available (ask about the Hamilton theme!). It was cooked precisely to my specified medium, with a flavorful patty and nice structural integrity throughout. The tater tots were basically as good as they come. We paired the meal with IPAs - Dancing with the Bulls and Bull in a Bottle Shop - both of which held up well against the richness of the food and worked particularly well with the burger. I finished the meal off with the amaretto which provided a balanced finish and was reminiscent of my usual espresso martini without being overly boozy or heavy. Service was friendly and professional as always, and the atmosphere remains a strong point: upscale casual without feeling forced. One of my favorite spots in downtown Durham for so many reasons, and one I'll definitely continue to return to.

The pimento cheese chicken sandwich was good but didn't have nearly enough pimento cheese. After that experience, we decided to come back tonight. Sadly, the menu we enjoyed was completely gone and replaced. The server assured us the new menu was much better. We ordered the Airline Chicken and the Steak Frites. The chicken was good, along with the spicy sauce but the plate felt empty. The steak was barely edible and mostly fat. The arugula salad it came with wasn't good either. Luckily the rosemary fries were very tasty. Overall, we will not be back for the "new and improved" menu. The service didn't help, as they were understaffed.

I think there's a sports ball thing going on somewhere, too. One person ahead of me and I gave the nice lady my order. As I've mentioned before, there is a nice adult contemporary soundtrack that is neither background or overpowering. It just hits, and you can chat over it if you want. Or sing along. After a nice bike ride, I stopped in and ordered their three shrimp tacos. I've had them before, but they seemed even more amazing than past visits. Were the shrimp larger? Were there more of them? (4 per taco seems about right!) It was such a lot of food (added to the hazy IPA) that I had to take the last one to go. It may last the night. Or it may be breakfast. I had high hopes, but there is reason why fries made from fresh potatoes aren't widely offered at restaurants and it's mostly bc they have so much water content and easily come out soggy. And these came out exactly that way - soggy and limp. The chicken sandwich I ordered was a special, limited time offering, and it was also ok. It was advertised as having a slaw on top and that's a strong word for what was served. When I think slaw, I think robust, crunchy veggies with some vinegar bite and while I got a bit of that, it wasn't enough to balance out the fried, savoriness of the breaded chicken patty and bbq sauce. Service was friendly, but I wouldn't say they went above and beyond. I was eating alone at the bar, and I'm usually accustomed to more touch points than I got here, but it wasn't bad. I they checked in more, I may have felt more comfortable bringing up my dissatisfaction with the fries. Beer selection (on tap) was only ok. Definitely a personal preference but I wouldn't say say they had a wide variety of beer styles to select from - at least while I was there. Giving two stars bc I won't come back here on purpose - especially by myself.
