This place is a place I frequent. The highlight is the service at the bar. Second highlight is sports package on TV. If you like to sit at the bar, have good service, and your choice of games, goose is perfect. The menu is decent although the wings they have are small and breaded. They sell the hell out of them so god bless em but it's not what I like. French dip, steak, salad, and apps all work for me here. For Gods sakes update your golden tee machine please. I can't believe your restaurant refused to accept our order for take-out. We even offer to wait an hour for our food and were refused. An escalation to the manager resulted in a flat refusal again. Sadly, you lost and an order valued over $200.00 and a repeat customer. I was in Windsor for the weekend for a friends wedding. We were all hungry but did not know where to go for lunch, so I popped out my handy dandy Yelp app, as per norm. What would you know, Loose Goose popped up and was only a block away from where we were. We decided to check it out. We sat out at the patio because it was a nice day and was greeted by the waitress within a minute. We were in the mood for wings and beer, so we asked what they offered. I don't recall what types they had, but we went with Kronenbourg Blanc after mutually agreeing to a light beer. Next up was as usual, the toughest part of any wings dinner for me; choosing my flavors of wings! Us 3 decided on splitting 4 different types of wings: Cajun, Garlic Parm (Dry Rub), Extra Hot, and Sweet Heat BBQ. The wings were not small like other wings joints I've been to. Each of the 4 flavors were not bad, but my favourite's were the was the Extra Hot, and Sweet Heat BBQ. It was spicy, but not too spicy, and went well with our beers. Come here every year for an annual guys trip! Honestly it is usually one of our favorites. The best whiskey selection and wings around. I'm giving it three stars due to the bouncer on a power trip! We walked in with a half bottle of water, turned around to finish it outside as asked but then immediately got told "it's my bar you're not coming in". The guy wouldn't even tell us why or what we did! Bouncer ruined it for us, not sure if we will be back. read more

My friends and I took a trip to Windsor for the new year, and The Loose Goose was the first recommendation we received from our hotel receptionist. The Loose Goose is a typical pub, TVs with sports on and a very nice selection of beer. Our waitress was great and very knowledge about everything on the menu. She made recommendations for beer, and they were delicious! If you like pubs, this place has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered the 'No-Name burger' and I can say it was decent. Not the best burger in the world, but for only $10.99 CAD, it was good (although adding cheese costs extra). I got fries with my burger that were great. My friend order the 'Goose bites' (boneless chicken wings) and they were amazing! Plenty of sauces to choose from, and it comes with a decent amount for the price. As we ended our dinner, our waitress was extremely understanding and patient as my group of 5 all paid separately. Overall, it is a decent meal with great atmosphere. The pricing may be a little higher than I would have liked, but it is a great pub to have a casual dinner at! read more

I came to Windsor for a night out with my boyfriend and this was the best part of our night :-) we got the spinach dip on recommendation from another review on here and I will echo that sentiment here as well. It was AMAZING and so filling that we didn't get to try anything else haha. I'd also like to recommend their server Janet! She was so fun and helpful. I wasn't sure what to get to drink so she gave me amazing recommendations all night! Couldn't recommend this place more. I definitely want to head back sometime! read more

Went here for a boys dinner on a Friday night. We left disappointed. The first round of drinks was fine, everything after that was awful. We waited over 1 hour for food, and I had to order my second drink from the bar because the server never came back to check on our table. I still love this bar when I visit town. The bar staff is spot on and the food is great. However, the security team needs some extra training in customer service especially during the busy holiday seasons. I seen a lot of the old classic films where it is filled to capacity and the door man let some of his friends in before some other people who had been waiting and telling them to wait... Fun atmosphere with great service. Main floor was busy so we were directed to seat ourselves on the second level. Atmosphere just as inviting... Sat at bar where bartender made every effort to fully review menu despite juggling bar orders. Food fantastic... came here for new years eve as a small group of 4. we had made a reservation and had no problem getting in the night of. we sat upstairs and the atmosphere was very nice. the food items are a little pricey, but worth it. we ordered mozzarella sticks, fries, salad, and burgers. everything was very good! our waitress was super friendly and i can't for the life of me remember her name (dark hair, was wearing reed lipstick and a pretty shiny choker necklace). she gave us several drink recommendations and they all came out as good as she told us they would be. it was a super fun, chill night for new years. we were worried it was going to be crowded but it wasn't at all. this was a very fun place to come and i would definitely come back here next time i plan a visit to windsor! read more

Here in Windsor for business. Staying at Waterfront Hotel. Right around corner so very convenient. Despite the fact that downtown was a bit dead at 6pm, decided on Loose Goose for its close proximity to hotel. Was a bit skeptical as area was very quiet. Our experience was nothing but amazing. Jenna, our server asked what we wanted to drink, asked what was on tap and she quickly rhymed off the taps. Asked her about local microbrew IPA and she was very knowledgable on the brewery as well as others in town. She went on for rest of night to offer the best service I have had, not only in Toronto but, being a very well travelled person, the best I have had in a long time anywhere. Would be halfway through pint and still came by to ask how we were. I think a lot of places have forgotten about the importance of friendly attentive service.
