Burgers on the other hand were top notch -upper tier. juicy, seasoned well medium cooked to perfection. Service was perfect. I went with the stuffed cheddar bacon burger cooked medium well with seasoned fries, and everything was outstanding. The fries are hand-cut and some of the best I've had -- crispy, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the burger. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, and perfect for hanging out with friends or catching a game. Plenty of TVs throughout for sports fans, plus bottled beer and liquor available. We went here yesterday about 7pm. Apparently it was throwback Thursday. There was a live DJ. I had 10 hot honey wings with fries & about 3 green tea martinis. They have some good happy hour drink deals. Unfortunately if you dont ask about them then they'll never tell you. Theres no happy hour menu. $5 henno and titos $6long island $7 ritas $9 greentea I loved the wings and they were saucy! The fries weren't so great. Should've cooked longer and maybe had fresher grease. The bartender didn't know how to greet ppl. She had 1 foot on the stand behind the bar as she sat on the counter. She was singing and acting like she was about to drink/neck the bottle as it was on the counter. She seemed unprofessional. . . Once ppl she knew arrived, she started drinking and became friendlier. We told her she's holding out on the drink specials && she said "well, you didn't ask". We had to flag her down for every thing. If we wanted water refill, another drink, the togo box and a bill... i brung 8 ppl here and we all thought the service could be better. I used to frequent Cutter's often in the early 2000's. They have been around for a while. The steak bites, burgers, and wings are all great. I stopped in with a friend to watch the game and unfortunately the game was only playing on one tv. There was a DJ playing and the music was super loud. The air was on blast to where it made my food cold. We ordered steak bites dinner and a broccoli and cheese potato. I asked for mushrooms and onions with my steak but I was brought onions and peppers. I told the waitress that that wasn't what I asked for and she said they must've ran out, she still charged us for the mushrooms and peppers. I had to ask for condiments. Heard so many good things about Cutters and was extremely disappointed. Very underwhelming. No need to ever return. The waitress was nice nasty. Moving to fast, never gave us her name, appeared irritated with our requests...she was to busy talking to her friends at another table. I had to call her over a couple times. The food was horrible. Two of us were served cold wings. When we asked for new ones she said they were being friend to order. Absolutely no way. Cold to the touch. I requested replacement of catfish bites n fries. The fish was greasy as it left standing grease on my plate, the fries were cold and tasted of old grease. The atmosphere was basic. Nothing special. Bar was actually a little cold. Ok don't be fooled by the appearance. 11/8/2025 we were at the Eastern Vintage Market and just happened to come across this place. OMG, it's FABULOUS! The staff is welcoming and attentive and the place is clean and fun. Probably the best texas toast I've ever had and the onion rings, OMG simply amazing. My chicken tenders were flavorful with spices and FANTASTIC too. My husband had fries with his quesadillas and he loved! The serving sizes are on the larger side so come hungry or perhaps split the meal. Also, Faygo cola is the brand they serve here. I hear it's a Detroit locally made beverage and I couldn't tell the difference between Faygo and Pepsi, it was really good. Please stop in here if you are in the area. I stopped at Cutter's Bar to decompress after a hard day of work. They are known for their burgers. I ordered a cheeseburger and a peach martini. Honestly, I didn't really enjoy either. My burger was overcooked, and the drink tasted very basic. I can see this being a great place for regulars. Even groups would have fun there. The music was popping. It was the highlight of the visit. So, I had a yelp event down here last night and had an hour or so to kill between work and the event. I found that this place was the closest, and I thought I would give it a shot. It seems to be a hit or miss place, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in. Finding the place was easy enough, but parking was on the street. Walking in, the place isn't huge, but had a bar area and a decent sized seating area in the back with a wall dividing it. Place was kind of dark and gloomy. I reviewed the menu and realized that they had a variety of different types of meals here. Some were expensive and fancy ($26 for shrimp and steak) down to meals like Grilled cheese and sliders. I wasn't super hungry, so I didn't want a huge entree. I ended up getting the grilled cheese to hold my stomach since i knew I was going to be drinking beer in an hour or so. My server was rather quiet, but took my order and brought my food out for me as well. Not the quickest or fastest place, but I had time to kill so I wasn't in a rush. It kind of worked to my advantage this time waiting for everything. I did like her, as she was efficient and got my order correct. I will say, the place could use some attention in regards to upgrading their bathrooms. They weren't in bad shape, but I felt like they needed a fix or to? I dunno. So, understand if you are not a regular, you may not be served badly, but you won't be served warmly and will barely receive eye contact if at all. Servers don't follow up with you, so it's best to get your order in at one time. Servers do not smile, tell you their name, and I was told with indignation, "we don't have a drink menu". They do, however, generously imbibe behind the bar. You will have to eyeball the bar and what other guests may have ordered to get an idea of what beer they have. Anyhow, places like this serve a niche clientele, that is, either you, or it's not. People who are regulars obviously love it. My burger was fine for the price point, but it was overcooked. Expect a well done burger regardless of what you request. They are not hurting for business so you will fit in with the culture or just go somewhere else. Nobody says anything so after waiting 30 minutes I go and ask what's going on with the food the lady says nobody told her anything. So she goes to check when she comes back she doesn't say anything just walks by.10 minutes later my family and I are like forget it then here comes a guy with food which happens to be our order. He then comes back out with more food. We wait another 5 minutes before someone decides to bag it up. We had a very poor experience here last night. We were participating in a Christmas Lights shuttle tour that met on the next block, and decided to stop in here for a burger before our shuttle left. We entered the restaurant more than hour before we had to get to the shuttles to check in. We came in, and sat at a two top table in the back room. It took 10 minutes just for a member of the staff there to acknowledge us. Don't get me wrong, it's not that there was staff there in the restaurant, they just wouldn't look at us. The one girl cleaned 4 tables near us, and their menus, but not even a "Hello, we will be with you." Finally, our waitress came to our table. We were trying to get to our shuttle (in the next 40 minutes.) The burgers took more than 30 minutes for us to get, and therefore we had to eat them and our fries so fast. It wasn't enjoyable, or a fun way to enjoy our meal before we left to go to our event. On another note, I ordered my burger "medium" and it was definitely well done, and really dry. Pretty disappointing. If they would have taken the burger off the grill a bit earlier, it would have been cooked more to my liking, and I would have had more time to eat. read more

I also thought the burger was overly seasoned. Too salty for my taste. My wife ordered a hamburger with Swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce and no onion. The burger came out with mushrooms and onion. My wife scraped off the mushrooms and subsequently all the Swiss cheese. My wife refuses to send food back. So I asked for another slice of Swiss because she had to scape mushrooms off. 1st server told us that we shouldn't have ordered the Swiss burger if we didn't want mushrooms we should have ordered a cheese burger with cheese. THESE. BURGERS. ARE. SO. GOOD! I have always liked Five Guys for a fast option and Miller's in Dearborn or Mason's in Livonia for a bar burger, but Cutter's might steal first place - maybe. It is comparable, at least! The burgers are filled with hearty toppings and are very flavorful without being too 'meaty' tasting, if that makes any sense. Not gamey. The lettuce was crunchy, onions were thick cut, lots of pickles, and all of the toppings were really fresh, which you can never count on with bar burgers. My boyfriend got a burger with steak on it (philly cheese burger, maybe? something like that...) and the steak bites could have been a dish in itself; they might even be the steak bite appetizer, but we didn't order that, so I'm not sure. Huge, savory chunks! I couldn't believe that it wasn't a $20 burger. The fries weren't bad, but they're definitely skippable. Get the onion rings instead.
