Our early spring walleye fishing trip always includes a trip to the Lucky 13 Saloon. It gets you in the mood for the weekend trip away from the stress. The quaint little bar packs a lot of punch in many ways. The owner,Jim, is always there and keeping an eye on all the tables and orders. He stops at every table and makes you feel welcome. If he knows you, chances are you will get a run down on the happenings in the area. If he doesn't,he will make you feel like you have been coming there for years. We were feeling a little extra hungry after a full day of fishing, so we decided to try the fried curds and onion rings. Curds were standard run of the mill. Nicely breaded and cooked. The onion rings were enough to feed 5 and we were only 3. They were decent,but the amount left a few a little soft and doughy. A little more spread out and they would have been great. We all had fish. I had the lightly fried perch, my buddies had the fried walleye and baked cod. Each of them came with a healthy side portion of your choice ( side note here: come early because they do not carry all the sides the full night. We missed two because we arrived after 7 pm). The perch portion was perfect. Boneless and nice light breading. Little tarter and ketchup, solid. Walleye was great size. Two healthy portions. Baked cod was not too buttery and light and flakey. The beer selection is not great,from the tap,but what they do have will make anyone happy. Darks, reds, lights to IPA, all on tap. Classics and favorites. Just at the right temp to enjoy. Bottled selection and homemade well drinks flow just as much as taps. Friday night fish fry with locals making you feel like locals, Lucky 13 saloon will hit the spot. We love this place! We went in April and liked it so much that we took our friends last weekend when they joined us at our cabin on Lake Peppermill. The food is soooo good! I had the fish fry twice ( my friends did as well) and it's wonderful. Two pieces is plenty. They had beer battered and I had lightly breaded. The baked potato was outstanding- as were the brandy old-fashioneds, in big chunky glasses. My partner( who doesn't love fish) had the Philly cheesesteak, which she said was great! The place is really busy! I can't wait to eat in the pavilion and listen to the band. The only reason I give this a 4 instead of 5 stars is that I think the tap beers could be beefed up with some craft beer but they did have a few craft beer in bottles. read more

I have been eating here for years, when it was the Busy Bee. New ownership took over in July. The inside was refurbished. But, the kitchen has certainly upgraded, the quality of the food. The Friday fish fry, is outstanding...we often get it to take out. Do not be put off by the motorcycles parked out front. The service is just okay. On busy nights, they need more servers, but the wait is well worth it. I could not like this place, more. Give it a chance...you won't be sorry. read more

This place re-opened in July 2013. The interior is mostly new or remodeled. The bar has a wide variety of drinks to choose from. Bar staff is friendly and courteous. They have a menu consisting mostly of regular bar food, sandwiches, burgers, etc. Food quality was better than average and the portions were well worth the price. The whole place seemed very clean and well kept. On the outside the place looks a little rough, but don't let that fool you. This bar is definitely worth a try. read more

The only thing that bothers me is, yelp has their address north of 82/13 junction and it isn't! At the stop sign the bar is at the southwest corner. Nice outdoor seating, biker friendly, N super nice employees. read more

This is a great country bar. We stopped in for the Saturday rib special and were extremely impressed with everything...drinks, food, service. I eats ribs on a rare occasion due to being disappointed. These were amazing and the sauce seemed to be homemade. Our server was exceptionally friendly. We will be back for sure. read more

Great bar food! Stopped by randomly after castle lake before heading home. So glad we came in & gave it a try. Stopped in out of the blue. We were passing through & saw chairs through the window. Thought it was worth taking a chance & was very happy we did. Fries were outstanding.
