Broiled fish dinner with Italian Potatoes
    Nikki L.

I love going to Cimaroli's when we are in Portage. It is my favorite supper club meal. We went on a Friday and I got the broiled fish. It was sooo good. I also loved that I could do all you can eat. I had some to take home when I couldn't finish what I had! The beans were delicious and the corn fritters were interesting. They are very cheesy or liquidy than a corn bread, but still tasty. The Italian Potatoes this time around lacked salt. I don't normally crave saltiness but I wish they had been a little more flavorful. I also enjoyed the $4 Old Fashioned. It was super tasty and you can't beat the price. Service was pretty good. Nothing to write home about. And the ambiance is your typical Wisco supper club. I did enjoy the bar area though. Traditional old fashioned bar with leather swivel seats... takes you back!

Honestly didn't get the hype behind this one. Very very popular place but food wasn't all that great and very expensive. I had gotten the Alfredo and it was not that good, borderline worse than Olive Garden for double the price! Noodles were overcooked and the chicken was very tendony. Definitely expected better from a place that is spoken so highly of.

We drove an hour and a half to come here after hearing really good things from many. To start we got there around 6:30 on a Saturday. Thankfully the wait was only about 30 min so we grabbed a drink and went outside where they had live music on the patio- with a full bar outside. A nice little touch because the actually bar area inside was packed and loud. We got to our table and out waitress was very busy, but good. She was moving. We got refills on drinks and started with the crab dip. It was good and super quick. They obviously have food prepped and ready to go in the back. Had that gone and she came back and took our order. Hubby had the flat iron steak and I had the scallops. Both came out within like 10 min of ordering. Both were cooked really well, however both needed more seasoning. We had to salt everything. We got the Italian potatoes with it. They were interesting. Overall a good experience. If we came back I would probably try something else.

First time in Portage, WI for a work trip and decided to have dinner at the supper club. I had a terrible 1st experience at a supper club in Waunakee and almost didn't try this place. As soon as I walked in at 5 pm, several folks looked at me. Yes, I'm Asian and Portage is probably not very diverse?! However, the hostess brought me to a table shortly and the server was friendly. She recommended the $3 old fashioned but I had an iced tea instead. Based on the menu, it appeared they are famous for flat iron steak and I ordered the 16 oz medium rare with mushrooms for $33. There were some complimentary dinner rolls with a big slice of butter. The plate was sizzling hot when the server placed it in front of me. My first bite of the steak was delicious although it was more of a medium than medium rare. Tender, moist and flavorful. I ate 1/3 and finished all of the mushrooms. While dinning there, I observed the crowd was mainly elderly like 65+. You see large groups of friends or families and I guess it's rarely to see a single person dining out at a supper club. Just in case you ask, what's the difference between a supper club and a steakhouse? In my humble opinion, a supper club is nothing fancy like the decoration in Pappas Bros or Del Frisco's. It's also nothing like Flemings, Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn, etc. It has a nostalgic feel and just very down to earth.

They were out of prime rib (again, 8pm on a Thursday, so not surprising) but the flat iron steak was great.

I recommend bringing a lawn chair to sit on. They do have a few stadium style seats on the right side but it's recommend to have your own. There is one thing I want to say, please be respectful and bring a small chair, there is limited seating and it's flat. I've been a few times and there is always someone with an obnoxiously oversized chair that makes it hard for people behind them to see. Before the show you can get delicious farm fresh food from Enos Farm. I look forward to their tacos every show! You can also enjoy a cold beer, or wine, but make sure to bring cash as its cash only and no ATM on site. We always have a great time and are loo forward to going back each year!

The salad bar is great and offers small desert portions. Although there have been times they were missing items such as cheese spread which is amazing and a standard fixture on the salad bar. However, sometime in the past year they decided to limit it to one trip!!!! What a poor, poor business decision. Now, you see several people piling up their plate as high as they can because they know they can't come back. The dinner comes out before they finish, and the remaining salad is tossed. Or, because they can only go up once, people are still very hungry and eat much more fish (all you can eat). Now what's cheaper, fish or salad? We visit frequently and usually sit by the salad bar. So, we get to overhear the complaints from the patrons getting salad. At the same time, or very close to it, they significantly raised their prices. Avoid the lake perch - too much breading, very greasy, and very little fish. This is our favorite place to take friends by boat, WHEN the food is good. There is a younger waitress that is exceptional - Tahlia (pronounced TAHL ee ya, I think).

But The food was OK. The highlight of my meal were the chips. For beverages, there are no refills and the price for the iced tea was more expensive than the beer (they don't carry Summer Shandy BTW). Something we haven't really seen before. Even if it is advertised on the menu, they could mention it as a reminder when offering a second beverage . It was ultimately shocking that, ultimately, our server didn't really think of coming back with the change after paying with a bigger bill (and we still gave a good tip).

Not the Family Magic & Comedy Show We Expected As a mom, I went with my husband and our children to this family magic show, expecting a fun, traditional performance but several children, including ours, were brought on stage more than we anticipated. Children on Stage - More Than Expected While audience interaction can be fun, it became a larger focus than we expected for a family show. Some parents nearby also seemed a bit uncomfortable and unsure with this part of the performance. The performer's style felt fairly intense at times, which influenced our family's comfort level. After a while, we decided it was best to leave before the show ended. Between our experience and observing other families' reactions, this was a bad experience for us. I ended up with a bad deal on this one. Be careful. I would not recommend attending the show or purchasing tickets for this. Families and customers should exercise caution. Every family has different comfort levels, so it may be helpful to know that the show brings children from the audience onto the stage.
