The store offers space on consignment to others. Each space is it's own little 'shop' and each item tagged with the price and vendor number. I saw some very nice older quilts and other household linens like pillow cases, doilies and what not. There are plenty of glasses, license plates, toys, records, metal goods, kitchen wares, jewelry. A bit of everything. The staff were pleasant. The store can be a bit overwhelming. You really have to 'look' carefully to see it all. You could spend a few minutes or a couple of hours. Out front they had a grocery cart holding the door open filled with 'free' treats. On this date, lemon pies that were approaching their expiration date. It's just a nice little offering to the community. Definitely worth a stop in. I found a few things I would purchase if we lived in the area. Prices were good with a few exceptions.

It's located in a lovely house, and you step through various rooms to look at items. I love getting a sense of local history by going to antiques shops and seeing what they carry. Sometimes the emphasis of a particular time frame or particular travel souvenirs tells me about who used to live in the area and what they were interested in. Pastiche was really fun to begin to go through. Mostly, there were a lot of cookware and servingware items: incredible sets and individual tea cups and saucers, old cast iron cookware, silver spoons. There were large furniture pieces such as old armoires, cabinets, and sitting sets. But then there was a whole room dedicated to Asian pottery, such as vases, Japanese dishes, etc. There was even a set of Victorian lamps, such as the one you'd see in Walt Disney's Apartment above Disneyland, that just fascinated me. I had never seen those in any antique store I've visited. And then I asked about the price of something that was unmarked. Ultimately, while very competitively priced, I decided against getting the item. The shopkeeper made a very rude comment to one of the workers that I wouldn't be purchasing anything because I put back this cheaply-priced item. It turned me off so much, I promptly left the store. I probably would have bought something from here. I may have needed to come back later in the day (closer to ferry departures to Seattle) to do so. (Consider this, Mr. Shopkeeper!) A couple of other notes: - Did not see antique cameras here, so if they are here, they'd be a small set - All other shopkeepers and attendants in Winslow were so nice and do not bat an eye at curious and unpaying tourists who want to wander in and look. From home goods to clothing to gift and dog shops, I did not experience this anywhere else. - There are caged birds at the narrow entrance. FYI if you're scared of them.

I was so glad to have been wrong. They had a great selection at fair prices, and the person working there was friendly and helpful. Keep in mind that this wasn't the same person other reviewers have made clear is extremely rude, so try to go in on the day that person isn't working. My wife never says "they have great stuff in here." She said that about this place. We will definitely return, but maybe only when the friendly person is working.

There it was sitting atop another table, the Holy Grail of my coffee table crusade. It was a true Danish piece, it was teak, it was vintage, and most importantly it wasn't ridiculously over-priced like a lot of tables on eBay or Craigslist. I must have had a completely different experience then some of the other reviewers at Antique Importers. The owner, Chris I believe his name is, was very friendly the entire time I was in the store. He never followed me around with his arms crossed, scowling, or treating me like a potential criminal, and yes, I do fall into the 25-30 year old looking age range. Actually, he was quite helpful and answered several questions that I had regarding the table and even took $10 off the delivery cost for me as I didn't live too far away from the store. Oh, and they even delivered the table on a Sunday evening after they closed! How many places have service like that these days? None of this "we'll be around sometime between 1pm-4pm on a Wednesday" b.s. that most places stick you with. If you're looking for larger furniture pieces, tables, chairs, sideboards etc, then you should check out Antique Importers for sure. If you're looking for smaller, more decorative items, then this might not be the best place, but there are more then a few of those shops close by in Pioneer Square.

Some items I've gotten: a simple side table that we use as an entry table, glass container with lid that I use for cotton pads, a drawer that was made into a shelf and I also got a (non-antique) infinity scarf. The store is very organized and not overwhelming (ie, some stores are cluttered with so much junk that it's overwhelming). They display their items in small little sections and I most often walk away with something I love whenever I visit.
