Chickpea Tuna Wrap (Lunch) and Bibimbap (Lunch)

I loved my husband's chickpea wrap and I liked my bibimbap! It was healthy and delicious. The service was kind and friendly. I really enjoyed their homemade chai and cookie!

Such a cute place! I would of loved to enjoy my lunch on their outdoor patio if I wasn't in a rush. Super cute, simple and quiet, kind of hidden away from the street, loved it! True their tofu bibimbap bowl and a bunch of pastries. The bowl was okay, I felt like it was missing a little sweetness, would try something else next time I'm in, but overall not a bad lunch. The monster cookie was incredible!! Not just for a vegan cookie, like over all of the cookies I've ever had this is in the top 5! Would love to get my hands on the recipe lol The blueberry cream cheese tart was a good, super flaky dough, great filling! The scone was a little undercooked, I had to scoop out the middle part of the uncooked dough, the strawberry curd was super fresh and it complimented the vanilla scone well. Can't wait to be back and try something different, again try this place out, you won't regret it

This little place, hidden behind the VA hospital, has an eclectic vibe. This is my first visit since before the pandemic. Indoor seating is no longer available but there are a couple tables outside (in the shade around 2pm) with a pleasant breeze, and a takeaway option. I ordered a banh mi and a nacho hot dog, but there were other costumes available for these common American sausages. The menu also has sandwiches and other options. Unexpectedly, the dogs ended up being soy dogs in fresh homemade buns jammed with great mixtures. The banh mi was crisp and fresh, while the nacho boasted a pleasant heat. Textures of the veggie mixtures were both unique and pleasant. I believe this to be an unusual spot and expect to return in order to escape UM north campus.

    Chuna Lumberjack

The food here was fantastic! We tried quite a few things: French Toast cake, fudgey brownie, beet bagel sandwich, Quarantine breakfast burrito, chuna lumberjack. The cake was very soft and served cold-multiple layers of cream and cake-honestly it was quite decadent. The fudgey brownie was one of the best vegan brownies from a restaurant that I have had, great texture. I was impressed with the quantity of food in regards to the breakfast burrito and the chuna lumberjack. They did not skimp; lots of fresh greens in the chuna lumberjack, and a sizeable amount of "tuna salad" mixture on top. The beet bagel sandwich was delicious. The cream was great, the bagel was great, both housemade. When we were there, we had to order online, and then pick up curbside. The online ordering platform worked well and was easy to use. You can simply show up when they "estimate" your order to be ready, call them, and they will set your food out on a cart and step back inside. You can then grab your food. The restaurant is in a nice location, you can walk on some of the trails nearby while you wait for your food. I wish that they had an outdoor table or something to sit at, as there were lots of nice shade trees. As it were, we ate some sitting on a sidewalk somewhat nearby, and we took some on the road to go.

New obsession!! I've tried so many things from here and they are all amazing!! Can't go wrong! They are the friendliest staff and so fast.

Love having so many vegan options and especially breakfast. Had the Billie Jean and it was amazing

Half of the mac and cheese with "chili" and half of the Vietnamese banh mi (with a substituted bread from the regular). Takeout.

For anyone who is considering going vegan, this is the place to go to understand how gastronomically-inclined people can do it and still live blissfully. Most vegan free tastes like a "mock" attempt at making "regular" food. But with the lunch room, you don't feel like you miss anything at all. I am a huge fan of their mac and cheese. I've also tried a wrap and Vietnamese sandwich, and thought both were delicious. I'm also not sure what brand of chips they use or if the chips are house-made, but their chips that come with some of the meals are delicious! In particular, I was glad to be able to introduce this place to a friend of mine who is vegan not by choice but because of health restrictions, and who needed some cheer.

    Beet bop bagel!

I feel like every time I'm in AA I make a most needed visit here, even if it's out of the way, I'm always trying to see how it can fit into my route! It's a pity some of the options are only available at this bakery location which is a bit out of the way when it's snowing. But, to the food! So I love the breakfast options! The tofu biscuit? (Which, I don't know why, but it tastes so much better than the version in the downtown location, and it's cheaper? )But my greatest impression is the medley of sweet and savory, warm and flaky, tastes and textures. I also really like their beet bop bagel! Let's see, for salads, I think I only tried the southwestern one which had tortilla chips and salsa and lots of substantial things! But it is super filling and you'll def get a food coma. So for lighter options I would prob prefer the salad that is more raw but warm. Their baked goods are also very captivating. I would love to see them a tad less sweet, but I still like the options and always window shopping their glass display. The staff are always super friendly and accommodating. This is a nice quiet location to just sit and relax on your own, possibly study, and just enjoy a meal. Writing this review is making me reminiscent of the biscuit ahhhh!

A very enjoyable and healthy lunch spot. I was waiting for someone to be done at the hospital across the street and always wanted to try it. I had the Billie Jean Biscuit sandwich with baby spinach, tomato, avocado and marinated tofu. Other half, the Beet Bot Boop. I love the cashew cream cheese! I am not a vegetarian but definitely feel better when I lunch like this in the summertime! Prices are fair, the atmosphere is open and airy.

So far, the limited menu is great. The seating is quieter and nicer than the original location, too. And as I expected, the food is phenomenal. I had the Bi Bim Bap and the soup of the day and was reminded of just how much I love the food from The Lunch Room. It's not a place of glamor and style, is a place of great affordable food. It just happens to be vegan, which means that almost anyone can eat it, not that it's only for vegetarians.

    Korean bibimbap

Great customer service. I ordered the vegan bibimbap and it was delicious. Called ahead to place the order and was promptly greeted and handed my food. Quaint little restaurant just across from the VA hospital. Will make this a regular lunch option. Highly recommend!

Food was pretty good, but service was below average. Looks pretty much like a diner with a few political activism statements thrown in.

The main thing Drip House has going for it is that it is effectively the only coffee spot to sit and study or meet someone right by the stadium (where a bunch of us live and/or work). It is also open into the early evening when a lot of other coffee spots aren't. And we do love an outside seating option. The service has always been just fine and it's a pretty cute spot (not to sound ridiculously nit-picky but while we're here--someone might wanna sheer some of the many dead leaves off the beautiful plant inside though). Also, the banana oat latte they had as a special a couple months ago was delicious. So yummy. Some things I don't love about Drip House: the blue chairs. So uncomfortable. It is expensive and, dare I say, overpriced. The first time I got my $14 piece of ricotta toast, it was delicious. And I figured, fine. It's $14 for a piece of bread with a little cheese and jam but it's so yummy, I'll splurge every once in a while and go with it. Plus, I can't eat tree nuts, so it is one of the few options for me. However, the second time I got it, it was most definitely not worth it. The "whipped" ricotta was just a sad, thin wet layer and there was practically no jam. I get it. It's expensive out here. We're living in the shadows of the avocado toast economy where espresso drinks cost minimum $7 and you effectively can't buy anything for less than $4. But just because you feel like you *can* doesn't mean you *should.* Paying $14 for a piece of bread.... Come on. It's insulting. It feels exploitative. Will i be going back? Yes, because of the proximity and sometimes a girl needs to go for a cute little walk to get a coffee--just to feel something. Would I if there was a competing coffee shop nearby? That remains to be seen. Also the size of the "large" iced drink. Come on guys.
