Still awesome, came here last night for my second time ever (last time was a year ago) and the sandos are tasty, simple and delish without breaking the bank. The Rueben looked good, but I went with the classic roast beef with a side of au jus and it hit the spot. Pick your bag of deep River chips and sit at the bar, staff is great and makes the whole time fun! Also- you can still get sliced roast beef to go by the pound.

Excellent roast beef. Very good beer selection. Had the French dip. Medium rare roast beef, provolone, horseradish on a bun that was soft but held up. Served with a rich au jus. To drink had the Crucial Mass from Counterweight. Solid double IPA. Service was prompt. Place has a genuine pub feel with no dive feel. 4 stars because prices are slightly high. Would still say prices are fair as food and drink are of high quality. $14 sandwich, $9 beer. Will return and would recommend.

    Great beer love the glass

Situated in an old stone stable, the Red Stone Pub gives off a vibe of local corner bar meets Irish pub! Great selection of beer! Love that they have Hoegaarden on tap and serve it in the official clunky glass! Limited food options but what they have is very good! All in all, a nice place to meet friends for a drink!

Not at all impressed with the food. The roast beef was suppose to be their best sandwich and all I tasted was horseradish.

Very strange hours that they're open. I don't think the food menu is very strong. However, the beer menu is very good.

Do you allow dogs in your Outdoor Dining area?

Not sure now there is outside dining. Before Covid people had dogs on the patio. There is a resident dog. Must admit I am not a fan of dogs in eating areas and I do have allergies to dogs so if you bring your pet please try to keep them away

While I was on the call with The Iron Horse staffer who checked if they could accommodate us, five more people said they wanted in. So, my party expanded to 20. The staffer said "No problem. See you at 8pm." Ninety minutes later, I called to update our numbers again, and we were up to 28. Ugh. The staff said, again, "No problem. See you at 8pm." A few more people heard of the gathering, so our total group was 32 people. With just a few hours notice. On a Saturday night. On Valentine's Day. That was the first bit of magic, and the waitstaff continued with friendly, fast, and accurate service of all the kids and parents. The final act was the food, which was outstanding. The portions were huge and delicious. (I had the wings, and "hot" was definitely hotter than most other places. So, order accordingly!) So, on behalf of our team, we wanted to extend an incredible "Thank you" to everyone at The Iron Horse and (in hockey terms) stick taps for an incredibly well done evening!

The bartender there was so helpful with my food order as I asked what he recommended and he gave me numerous choices to go with. He suggested the wings and pizza which I took his advice. I ordered the 4 boneless wings for $5.00 along with the medium size pizza for $17. I went with the boom boom sauce on the boneless wings and i really loved the flavor and fresheners of the wings. The iron horse also makes their own blue cheese dressing. I also went with the thin all American style pizza crust 1/2 bbq chicken and 1/2 buffalo chicken as I couldn't decide and wanted to try both. I feel the Buffalo chicken would be more flavorful with their homemade blue cheese dressing drizzled on it too. I also ordered their $1 slice pepperoni pizza to go for my kids. I really enjoyed everything i ordered. I especially love their boneless wings they make and if you haven't tried yet the boom boom sauce you must. It's a combination of chipotle sauce and ranch dressing. Definitely will be back to try more food during happy hour. The place has a good size bar area and offers great specials for drinks. They just opened the patio that they have as well. There are other locations available to visit. Unionville , Bristol.

The menu was bigger than I thought with a wide range of options to choose from tacos to sandwiches to burgers. It took a while for the appetizers and drinks to come out. The service was okay at best. There seemed to be only one server, and it even seemed like the chef was helping out deliver food, so it looked like they were understaffed. The server was very friendly though. For appetizers, two dozen wings ($22.95 each) were ordered. The honey mustard and Kentucky bourbon BBQ were the chosen sauces. The quality of wings were very good. They varied in size and were extremely crispy. They seemed to be double fried. The honey mustard sauce was flavorful. There was a little inconsistency with the amount of sauce, but not a huge deal. The Kentucky bourbon BBQ was an elevated BBQ sauce to me. There was a slight bourbon flavor, but nothing over powerful. For my meal, I had the squealer burger ($15.95). I opted for a side salad, which was terribly overdressed, which was unfortunate. The burger was a half pork, half beef burger with American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mustard, and mayo. The meat was cooked to my liking and there was an ideal ratio with the bread and filling. There was something salty about this burger, but I could not pinpoint what it was exactly. Overall, though, a satisfying burger. Will I go back? I would.

There's always a little pressure when a dinner is part reunion, part catch-up, part "please let the restaurant be good enough to match the occasion," and Republic absolutely came through. The whole evening was fantastic. Shane took great care of us and struck that perfect balance of being attentive, personable, and making everything feel easy. He helped the night flow in a way that let us relax, laugh, catch up, and enjoy ourselves without ever feeling rushed. The dinners across the table were a hit, but my Moroccan lamb special was next-level. It was one of those meals where you take a bite and immediately stop mid-conversation because your full attention has been redirected to the plate. The flavors were rich, layered, and so unexpectedly good that I'm still thinking about it. Everyone loved their meal, the atmosphere made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening, and the prices felt very reasonable, especially for how good the whole experience was. All in, Republic Gastro Pub gave us exactly what you hope for in a night like that: great food, great service, lots of laughs, and a dinner worthy of the reunion

I started with clam chowder that while could've been a little hotter, was thick and delicious. Other people in the party had eggplant Parmesan, which reportedly was terrific, chicken Parmesan that was cooked beautifully with lots of grilled chicken a lovely marinara that was topped with lots of cheese and spiced. The ancient grain risotto was again fantastic, and anyone who can cook a risotto well deserves kudos. The dessert I had the strawberry shortcake that wasn't too sweet and had a beautiful flavor of fresh strawberries throughout with lots of whipped cream. The Keylime pie was tart and delicious. The Brooklyn layered chocolate cake was tremendous layers of cake and frosting. It was just a perfect rendition of a chocolate cake. Last but not least was the coconut cake which rivals my favorite coconut cake in the world from Max A Mia. The Abigail's version was a bit lighter, but equally as delicious with coconut frosting that really hit the spot and is worth the trip back.
