My wife and I have dined here several times as it is near our home. We regularly experience exceptionally long waits for our food after ordering (anywhere from 20 minutes up to an hour) but never minded because the food was good and they have vegan options. We recently decided to get a take out order and only after getting home did we discover there was a mistake with our order. We called to alert them of the mistake so they could remake our order while we drove back so that we would not have to wait again and instead of being apologetic and accommodating we were argued with and advised "you can come back all you want but we're not doing that". We were going to press the issue further but decided it was not worth it and we took the loss ($23 for two macs and cheese...and that was with a coupon). Unfortunately with this experience and exceptionally poor customer service we will not be dining here again. read more

Nothing is ever hot when served. The mac & cheese balls are never warm when you get them, a few were actually still frozen in the middle and have absolutely no flavor - like fried cardboard. Asked for half and half tea (half sweet half unsweet) and was served an Arnold palmer (half tea half lemonade) they did not include a side of mac and cheese with a coworkers salad combo. The fries are not crispy. The cheese is not melted enough in the plates - almost gritty and again is not served hot enough. We order to go and the salad was underneath all of the hot food causing it to become wilted. And frankly it just doesn't taste good enough for it to be as expensive as it is for pasta and cheese dishes. read more

You can't leave hungry or you must be doing something wrong. This is great mac and cheese and the service is very friendly. Too bad these aren't on every college campus in America - those kids wouldn't be so homesick for a good comfort meal! My favourite is the cheeseburger mac and cheese. Yum! read more

Very good food and friendly people who work there ! Regular size plates are big enough for two people to eat or even three . We had to take some leftovers home cause they were so big . Mac balls are okay but not anything to write home about . Honestly I think they should rethink their prices on the small bites menu ... a little pricey for amount you get ! Oh my god. This restaurant is my favorite place. I am in winter guard and we had a competition last year near the Mac house. When we went there, my mind was blown! Delicious food! Excellent service! To avoid my review take one thing away. GO TO GOOYEYS Got to mac house a little after they opened. One family had ordered and were already seated at a table with staff working on their food. Another family was in the process of ordering. Person taking my order seemed like they could care less about helping me or answering question. Heard her tell another couple later when they asked what fixings they could include "pretty much anything". That's a useless response. Do you have lobster, Kobe beef, how about blow fish? No, why not you said anything Anyway I gave my order, asked for some customizations. She handed receipt but it said nothing about my customizations so I ask. She kept say yes it's in there so took her word. She was right but I found front staff to be very unfriendly. That was off putting but not end of world. I sat down and now waited for food. 30 mins later nothing, I go up and ask what's going on as no one bothered to talk to me or set expectation. Another member of staff was more than happy to chat up another table but gave two figs about me. I had good timing though as I went up to counter as they were boxing things up. I explained I was disappointed to which I was told there was a big order in front of me and I should have called in advance. Ok I get that, it wasn't that big though, five people and they order surprise surprise, mac and cheese. People it does not take 30 mins to cook pasta. Quite a few families came in as I was leaving, I expect some waited for an hour for their food As I was collecting my food I noticed they failed to include my free kids cookie, I had to ask. No apologies just here is your food now go attitude For service alone I would NEVER go back but my review gets worse Got home and started eating. One plus the portions are pretty big but that's about the on,y plus. We had four different mac and cheese orders. Not a single one was good, they were all bland You spezalize in pasta and your pasta lacks flavor. Good luck with that Ok pasta sucked let's try the cookie. I swear they used salt instead of sugar. I called and ordered over the phone around 7:05 PM and was told it was going to be about 20 minutes. I arrive at around 7:30 PM to find I did not receive my food, that I called ahead for, until 7:55 PM. So if I had arrived in 20 minutes like they said it was going to be ready and I would have been waiting for a half hour for my food that I called ahead for. At that point I might as well just driven there and ordered in house.It's a shame, because they really do have great food. The service is horrible. read more

I had the jerk chicken mac and Hubby had the spinach and artichoke mac. We both really liked our dish. We also had caprese salad and house salad. Both were very good. The cashier was super friendly. It was kinda busy in there on a weeknight around 6. Our to-go order took about 10-12 mins. I like this place and will return soon. read more

Two words: Extremely overrated. So i saw this place on Facebook and of course me being a Mac n cheese lover i was sucked in by the photos (the same mistake you're probably making right now). first issue: the customer service was super trash. Everyone seemed cranky and unauthentic especially the old lady working the front desk. I figured maybe something crazy happened before i got there so i let it go. Then as my friends and i ordered our food (with absolutely no help no recommendation or anything) we had to wait an extremely long time for our food. Don't get me wrong the food looked beautiful. (Key word: LOOKED) My friend had the jerk chicken Mac which was beyond disgusting. Mine was buffalo Mac which was just barely bearable. The cheese itself lacked flavor. THERE WAS NO SEASONING! And the chicken tasted almost freezer burnt. Each sauce had a funky aftertaste. There was definitely no love in this mac n cheese recipe. I didn't even keep my leftovers. I don't usually leave comments like this but i will definitely never come back here unless I'm drunk. And if you're a Mac n cheese lover like i am you won't either. read more

Like everyone says, its good in theory but poor execution. Im extremely disappointed. The food was good but the "combo" was a total waste of $4. I was told the mac and cheese comes with a drink but I can make it a combo and add fries, soup or salad. I chose fries. I GOT 15 FRIES. I SPENT $4 ON 15 FRIES. I understand you are a new business and most of your employees don't have restaurant experience but the fact that the manager (if there even was one) allowed them to serve 15 fries is sad and if thats the portion it comes with then thats sheer theft. The employees need better training on the registers, my friend I was with got the wrong change back after we waited patiently for 5 minutes for them to figure out how to use the register before asking for help. I love their menu selection, they have options for everyone! The portion size you get for the price is great. I actually was expecting a counter style restaurant. The quality of the food was fantastic, the mac and cheese I chose would have been around $20 at a sit in fancy schmancy restaurant. They also offer local deliveries. Yes, the food may take a few more minutes than the local pizza shop but it's only because they are making your food fresh and it hasn't been sitting on the counter under a heat lamp for the last hour. Also, it felt super clean to me, which is very important in a restaurant. The only negative thing is that there are not enough seats. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! This is a great idea for a restaurant, when the Mac house has macaroni and cheese. We stopped by around 6pm on a Saturday and they were completely out of macaroni and cheese. How does that happen???? They only had grilled cheese and salads. Against my better judgement I was going to give them a try but then I asked a simple question of what was on the buffalo chicken grilled cheese and no one could answer my question. Horrible service!!!! I stood there for 5 minutes watching the cashier break the hearts of 10 other families coming to eat. Not once did the cashier apologize or say that she hoped we would come back to try them. I don't think this restaurant will be around for long.... read more

Really want to like this place because it is local, but the mac and cheese base is just okay. My kid's grilled cheese seemed to be made with processed cheese. We also tried the fried green tomatoes, and they were awful! All breading and greasy, the pimento cheese had no flavor and the bacon jam had a huge glob of bacon grease on the top. You have to ask for ketchup even though they serve fries. The two of us spent $20.00 and left feeling like we hadn't really eaten any dinner. When a kid doesn't like a cheese based restaurant, that isn't a good sign. read more

The food was very good, and I really liked the portion sizes for the price, however, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff are supposed to clear off the tables and wipe them down for the next guests, however, we had to clear our own table of other people's waste and wipe the table. Afterwards, an employee came by and wiped the table. I noticed several other patrons having to do the same thing. We waited almost 20 minutes for our food to be delivered only after I mentioned to one of the staff that we had ordered and sat down before a few others, who were already receiving their meals. What a disappointment! I'm not sure what was worse, the atmosphere, service, or food. We waited almost 20 minutes in the cold, loud restaurant for a grilled cheese sandwich and 3 orders of mac and cheese. The "meals" were brought to us one at a time, and they forgot the sides of soggy fries. We asked for ketchup for the fries and they brought one little cup for three people to share. The mac and cheese didn't even taste like cheese. It was bland, thick, and starchy. This was the first time ever we didn't eat all of our food or ask for a box to take it home with us. As if the food wasn't bad enough, there are only about 10 tables in the restaurant. People who were waiting for their food to come out were standing near us staring, and waiting for our table. We literally had a family swoop in and sit in our chairs as we were busing our own dishes. $50 for horrible food and a horrible dining experience. Don't waste your money! read more
