I booked a reservation here for my birthday dinner. Apparently there was also an Indian festival in the area so we couldn't get a booth. As more non-Indian people came in, the sat them directly next to us in a very cramped corner. So about 2/3s of the restaurant remained empty. In the about hour or so that we were there, not a single person came from the festival, so it was just a weird experience. The food was ok. I was a little surprised by how average it was with the reviews the restaurant has. The service wasn't particularly great either. I usually love naan but the garlic naan we had was pretty hard and dry. One thing that was really nice is that the restaurant gave my whole family a desert for my birthday, which is honestly what bumped my experience up from 2 to 3 stars. read more

I normally come once a month & just love the exotic flavorsI & spice. I went for my birthday during lunch & liked the new lunch concept "Thali." I enjoyed the flavors & the owner came out & checked on us. The ambiance was great, they had music, just the appropriate volume (not too loud), lighting was not too bright , and the service was great. Our server was very polite. provided recommendations & was very helpful. The only critic; the Thali food temperature needs to be much more hot. The rice & chicken dishes were not hot at all, also the portions was too much for lunch.. if you have a big appetite, this is the best place for lunch, for $13.99 you get a lot of food! I had the Butter Chicken and Butter Naan. My friend had Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. Our food was delicious and flavorful and they do give you a lot of food. The butter and garlic naan were very soft and tasty. I like how you can change your spice level to your liking. The staff were very sweet, attentive and helpful with our choices. The ambience is very clean, nicely decorated, and family oriented. Overall, great service and very delicious food. We will be returning to try other things on the menu. read more

Lazeez is easily the best Indian food I have ever had (and this includes living so close to NYC, though, I have never been to India). We did pickup through their website (saving almost $10 on Grubhub's astronomical prices) and our huge order was ready in about 30 minutes and on time. Here is everything we ordered: Malai Chaap, Cheese Naan, Bullet Naan, Onion Kulcha, Gol Gappas, Samosa Chaat, Aloo Gobhi Masala, and Malai Kofta Curry. Let me just say that i have found my new favorite Indian dish! I used to go for Chicken Tikka but let me tell you...Malai Kofta Curry is a new found love!! I was so tempted to stop by the next day to buy more (even though I had leftovers in the fridge). The Cheese Naan was perfect to dip it in, too. Normally, I have to be in the mood for Indian food and I rarely eat it...but now, Lazeez is going to be a new go-to. It's SO good, Wake Forest!! read more

Excellent new spot for Indian food in Wake Forest. This place opened in storefront recently vacated by an Asian restaurant. Interior is completely redone, tastefully sleek. About a dozen tables, plus a few chairs at the bar. They appear to be doing a booming take-out business, as there is a steady flow of pickups. A minor nit is that the music is a little too loud, making conversation difficult. Service is reasonable. They are just getting started, so slack for taking about 20 minutes from order to service. All of the orders were correct, the level of spice spot-on. All of the food was piping hot. Tried one of the house specialties - Chicken Methi Malai. Chunks of white meat chicken are simmered in a creamy curry spiced with fenugreek leaves. I prefer mine not too spicy, and this one was prepared perfectly. Very creamy with an earthy tone from the fenugreek. It's outstanding over the perfectly prepared basmati rice. Also tried garlic naan. As good as any I've had, the bread is crisp and charred on the outside, moist and chewy on the inside. Garlic and a little oil on the top. YUM! Be sure to save a little to mop up in the curry from the Methi Malai. Others around the table tried Samosa, Gobhi Pakora and Palak Paneer. Each is prepared deliciously, and the kitchen is paying close attention to level of spice as each was served just as ordered. Lazeez is a great addition to the Wake Forest restaurant scene. Manager is down right rude! Lies and is nasty to customers. Ordered food online at 2pm requesting 5pm pick up. Waited 55minutes for my order because manager prioritized catering/larger orders over mine. When asked why he was short and gave a lot of attitudes. Food and service was great when they opened but in last few weeks it's like a different staff. Food quality also has declined much more oily. If you're looking for a mediocre food experience and to be treated in an abusive manner check out Lazeez. read more

The weekend brunch is the way to go. The ambience is a little too quiet for my taste, but the food is excellent. weekend brunch does have limited selections, but but they do offer the usual Indian selections and it does change week to week. only negative is that Naan bread was extra from the kitchen and not part of the buffet brunch. read more

Best Indian food I've had in a long time and in the heart of Wake Forest ! For a while there was only 1 Indian restaurant in WF which is still a good place but it's great to have another option. I believe Lazeez is a bit more upscale, a bit more refined and more flavorful. Obviously with quality comes higher pricing but I felt it was justified. We were 6 and we ordered all dishes to share. So I tried everything in the pictures and it was all delicious ! Servers were very attentive and there was a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. I truly recommend this place. By the way I asked the waiter what Lazeez meant and he said "delicious". It was indeed !! read more

Okay let's start with the pros: 1. An Indian buffet on the east side . 2. Taste wise they are not bad on the usual suspects tikka masala, butter chicken, mutton curry and there was a fish dish which was decent along with gulab jamun. 3. They serve naan to order Cons: 1. For the price to variety. This place was pretty sad and pricing for kids is outrageous. Go to Naga or other Indian buffets in Morrisville. Cheaper and wider varieties. 2. Chai was watered down and you can hardly taste the tea which should be strong. 3. What is up with their mushroom soup? We saw this location promoted on the WF Facebook page and decided to give it a go. It's located in the old Main Street Cafe strip mall by Smiths Smokehouse. It's not fancy, I would describe it as "cozy". We were greeted at the door and asked to wait for a table to clear, no options for reservations (I think it would help them if they did do reservations with the limited seating). Our server was really sweet and a little hard to hear with the noise, we had to ask for our menus. I think I heard them say they were down someone due to illness so it was a little slow, but we were comfortable and it was nice not to feel rushed. They have a cute bar, but the spirits were NA, as they didn't have a cocktail menu I'm not clear if they didn't serve alcohol or not. That's ok I'm doing dry Jan, so that worked in my favor :) . The TV was playing videos from Indian music which was entertaining. The food was the star for sure! We were given toasted cracker like bread with condiments to start, we ordered veg samosas and the Gobi Manchurian (my fave!) at a medium heat level and I think I could have done hot. Very good, the flavors were bright and fresh. For my main I had the Dal, and my husband had the Goat Vindaloo. Both exceptional, served with rice and the garlic naan to share, sooo good. It was plenty and enough for leftovers. Overall we will be back, great spot for take out I'm sure (dashers were all over the place). Great new spot! read more

Great new Indian Food restaurant in Wake Forest. My wife and I ate dinner there last night. We had the vegetable Samosa appetizer (2) for $5. Very good with the dipping sauce. Could use more of the veggie filling but still great taste. They served us pakora (crisp thin chickpea and fennel crackers with two dipping items, chopped and flavored red peppers and their green sauce) but it came late with our entrée. It should have been served with our water before the Samosa or as we ordered our dinner. I asked the server for his recommendation for our meal as this was the first time we'd visited this restaurant. He suggested one of their chicken curry special entrées, Chicken Methi Malai, and my wife had the chicken curry as she wanted to compare it to our other current favorite Indian Food restaurant. Both entrées were excellent with reasonably large portions to justify the $18 price, being able to take a good amount home with us to eat the next day. Service overall was good. The table spacing is about perfect, giving some level of privacy but still providing many tables. Ambiance is a step above the other Indian Food restaurant nearby. The background music playing was nice jazz but seemed a bit out of place for eating Indian food. They have a large bar with a big screen TV playing interesting but almost bizarre Indian music videos, which was odd but also gave us something interesting to observe. Everyone was very nice. We will come here again. I wish it was cheaper but with the terrible inflation of the last three years due to bad policies and high energy costs these prices are to be expected now. We only go out to eat once or twice a month instead of four or six times now. The cost to eat a great dinner at home is almost the cost of what it was to eat out four years ago. read more

Are you a sexist male? You will Love the service here. Waiters only speak to men. My wife ordered for us, and the waiter turned to me and said" Let me review the order to see if it is right. ". Every time waiter came over asked me only if food was good. Waiter came by every 3-4 minutes to ask if all way good. Great job labeling Gluten feee and vegan options, but service was bad. Came in Sunday evening as they opened at 5:00. Our waiter had no personality and snatched the menu from me so hard like taking a Playboy magazine from a kid. It actually hurt my thumb??? I thought geez is this guy mad at the kitchen or something? That was really uncalled for since all we did was order. The whole vibe was bad. The food was nothing like Bombay Curry. I ordered the samosa chaat and two samosas to go. Husband ordered a masala chai and the mango chicken. First, the green sauce that came with the flatbread was very watery. The masala chai was watered down and not hot. Disappointing for something that sounded so interesting. Mango chicken spice level 3 no taste. Samosa chaat was so disappointing as there was absolutely no chutney sweet taste. What usually makes this dish so interesting for me everywhere else is it's a great mixture of spicy and sweet but the sweet was totally missing.Our waiter never checked on us and when we were done we had to chase down our check. Very disappointed in the recent change in food quality here. The staff is still lovely, but clear cost cutting measures are in place. Recipe changes, using lower quality meats or purchasing premade food seems to be the case. It is a completely different experience than the past. The meat portions are smaller with a lot more sauce, taste and texture do not resemble real or high quality meat, and many items seem much more sugary than before like they were pre-made or frozen. I would compare to a cheap Chinese restaurant rather than the high quality, generous portions, and authentic food we used to enjoy at Lazeez. Absolutely overpriced now. read more

I have been here many times and the food is very good. Their chicken saag isn't the best I have ever had, but the chicken tikka masala is very good. They have a nice variety of breads to choose from. The green chili one is my favorite. The service is always good. The waiters always give us something homemade that isn't on the menu. read more

Finally made it to Lazeez and am so glad I did! I started with the Rupee Lager Beer which was delicious, smooth, and paired well with my meal. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala Lunch with Basmati Rice and Garlic Naan on the side. Also started with a Samosa (which came with its own dipping sauce). Very slow. Gave us a pick-up time 50 minutes out, actually took over an hour for our order to be ready. Our appetizer, Chicken Tikka was dry and smoky--not very pleasant to eat. The curries however were both excellent. Chicken Methi Malai is a uniquely flavored very tasty dish. Very different and better than a typical US Indian restaurant curry. The Navrattan Korma (vegetarian) was also very good, and also with a unique flavor profile. read more

Lazeez is a wonderful addition to our community. We enjoyed a fantastic Sunday night buffet at Lazeez Indian Restaurant! The warm ambiance and attentive service set the stage for an incredible meal. The buffet offered a great variety of fresh dishes, all bursting with authentic flavors. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the lamb curry was perfectly spiced, and the paneer was a vegetarian delight. The fresh naan was perfect. To finish, the gulab jamun (my favorite ) is the perfect sweet treat. We have gone twice and I look forward to going again soon. It was wonderful from start to finish. I've eaten here five times (four times dine in and one pick up). Every time I have been very happy with my meal and experience, including last night. Large menu, very nice atmosphere, GREAT service and the best Indian food I have had in this part of Wake County. I have taken several people here, both connoisseurs and new comers to Indian food and all have issued rave reviews. One more great meal from Lazeez! We ordered Vegetarian Samosas, Butter Chicken, Lamb Tikka Masala, both came with containers of delicious rice. We also got Garlic Naan and Kashmiri Naan. The Garlic Naan was as wonderful as always, and the Kashmiri a total new experience; and a fantastic discovery. The Kashmiri Naan had coconut and delicious sweet spices that balanced the main meals hot spices. Its flavor was complex and delicious and I truly would enjoy it as a dessert. Like always their food delivers a combination of top shelf ingredients, great flavor and consistency. We have to order delivery since my two year grandson is not yet able to understand restaurant etiquette ‍. Indian tea (chai) , tikka masala chicken, veg korma , side garlic naan . $14.00 each +$3.00 tea , side order garlic naan $2.00 = $33.00+tax $34.64 and 20% tip . $42.00 lunch for one person. I think Sunday buffet at $22.99 per person will be better to try with my husband. Service was good , atmosphere was good especially here in Wake Forest.
