    Cozy interior.

Arrived in a state of zombieness and ordered a cup of Mad Bean's Secret Society coffee and some breakfast. Great scrambled eggs and breakfast wrap. Left far more awake with a happy belly. Definitely a gem in downtown Madison.

Such a lovely coffee shop. I wasn't expecting the opportunity to shop as well. All the local vendors were so much fun to look at. I ordered a large, iced, butterscotch latte. They have the amazing small crunchy ice! It wasn't as sweet as I prefer but it was still good. What sold me over all was the ambiance and design of the shop. It was super cute and cozy.

This place is great! I got a caramel macchiato which was the perfect balance of flavor and sweetnesss. Can't wait to see the renovations! (I also really like the coffee sleeves on the cups!)

Great coffee house that serves fantastic sandwiches, soups (fall & winter) and salads (summer). I'm not a coffee drinker, but they have great southern sweet tea with real sugar. Frappes, smoothies and of course all types of hot and cold coffees and teas.

First time here. Loooved the chicken salad wrap. I love one with grapes and pickles. Good flavor. If you hate onions maybe don't get it but if you like them go for it. My friend got the pimento cheese quesadilla and it was very good. Both served with chips. Prices are great. Didn't get the coffee but also looked good. They also had canned goods and paper goods to sell... maybe because of the Covid times? Will def come back when visiting my friend! Hidden gem that seems out of place here. Would imagine this place in Winston, Durham, or Asheville.

Iced Cuban latte 1/2 sugar. So yummy! Thanks!

Great coffee! Wide selection and the barista said she could most likely make any sort of coffee we were thinking of. Love it here.

As for me, I love seafood and I have eaten at many seafood restaurants in different states and though I can only say I eat at this particular restaurant about three times a year it's by far one of my favorites. The portions are fair for the price and for most people, it is enough or even more than enough. I see about 60-70% of patrons taking a to go box of left overs out every time I go here. I have never in 20+ years of eating at this restaurant had a complaint about any of the wait staff. I do have a concern for the size of potatoes or sweet potatoes. They have definitely shrunk over the years and now aren't worthy of putting on a plate. The grilled chicken breast has also gotten smaller but I see that happening at most restaurants not just here. Everything I have ever received here has been delicious and everyone has always been nice and courteous. Madison isn't known for their restaurants and don't have a whole lot to chose from but Mayflower should be at the top of the list if your ever in the area and hungry. One more tidbit that I'd like to add. Out of all the Mayflowers that I have been to, this one is the best!

We quickly got a reservation for our table of 7 and I was praying it was tasty. You walk in and the smell hits you like a load. It smells incredible! The weekend is a grilling event and they do prime rib, ribeye, salmon, chicken, etc. We had the ribeye, salmon, and prime rib and with that garlic butter.... Wow. Delicious absolutely delicious. The salad and potato bar are perfect. Make your own, exactly how you want it! No waste. I enjoyed a piece of the banana pudding cheesecake for dessert when I got home and needless to say, amazing. It's just a simple place. It reminds me of a childhood steakhouse. We will most definitely be there again this month!

Choices of the day (Friday night, 4/5) were Famous Pot Roast, Bacon Herb Baked Chicken, loaded Mac and cheese, bacon braised Brussels, Broccoli casserole, Sriracha sweet potatoes, and the usual salad accompaniments. They did not disappoint. The pot roast was as tender a flavorful as any I've had, with a few potatoes and carrots in a gravy. The chicken was also very tender (all dark meat, that I saw, and prefer) and juicy, with a nice blend of seasonings. I even tried the broccoli casserole, even though I don't care much for the vegetable, and it was pretty tasty! My girlfriend loved the Sriracha sweet potatoes, and went back for seconds. As I prefer sweet potatoes more on the savory side, I also enjoyed them. I wasn't brave enough for the Brussel sprouts, however. The regular salad side had options of Romaine, or a tender greens mix, with many of the usual toppings and six dressing choices. My lemonade was spot-on, and Barb's half-and-half tea was also tasty. They also have Pepsi products available. We will definitely be watching their Facebook page for future weekend selections, as the menu changes daily/weekly.

My personal favorite thing to order here is their excellent cobb salad. I'm not a fan of bleu cheese, so I swap that out in favor of another type, usually sharp white cheddar. Never a problem. It's a nice big bowl, and comes with just the right amount of dressing to add flavor to everything without being over-dressed. The ingredients here are always fresh and crisp, and you typically won't wait more than 10 minutes for everything to be ready. Stock and Grain itself provides a very comfortable environment to enjoy your choices, no matter who you purchase from. Or if you are like me... you buy from a few spots. Enjoy!

Located right by the door in the Stock and Grain food hall, this is a must visit spot! I opted for the Cobb salad, which they knocked out of the park. The bowl was filled to the brim, and it just with lettuce. They were very generous with the toppings and their salad is fantastic. The cashier was very fry, offering a few suggestions, and getting our order out quickly. This is a great spot to pick up something fresh with plenty of healthier I, yet tasty options. I feel bad we waited so long to visit again, but I'm sure we'll be back again soon to try some of the other items from their menu!

She skipped the onions, added ketchup and mustard, and got a side salad. I kept mine simple with no ketchup or mustard. Food came out fast. Appetizer and burgers hit the table in just over five minutes, which was impressive. The burgers were good. Not over the top, but juicy and worth the price. The only miss was the bun. It was cold and could have used a quick toast or at least some heat. The house salad was fresh with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, cheese, and croutons. I tried to swap my fries for sweet potato fries and ended up getting both, so no complaints there. Just know the sweet potato fries count as extra. Fries came out hot and stayed hot. The sweet potato fries had a nice balance, not soggy, not too hard. The corn fritters were the standout. Crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside. Service from Amber or Shannon was great. Attentive, friendly, and helpful. The only slowdown came at the end. It took longer to get the check than it did to receive the food. The space is in a reclaimed industrial building with exposed brick and high ceilings. Very large and open with plenty of room for groups and events. There is a main dining area, a busy bar, and a separate section with bowling lanes. The crowd was mixed. Families, couples, groups, people at the bar, even a few on laptops. Plenty of TVs and music, but it stays at a manageable level. Accessibility is decent with a lift available. Parking is nearby street or lot parking. Overall, a fun, casual place with strong value, especially on Tuesday nights. Must order: Corn fritters Heads up: Buns may come out cold and sweet potato fries are an extra
