A traditional Thai interior dining room, the restaurant is in a strip shoppibg center but don't let that fool you, the food is excellent here. After giving the concise menu a peruse, I opted for the number 29. Pho Noodle Soup with chicken. This is a large bowl of rice noodles, with tender chicken chunks, bean sprouts, fresh basil, cilantro and jalapeno slices, served with lime wedges. A hearty filling meal, it requires both chop sticks and a spoon. What a wonderful find. Traveling from Pittsburgh to Myrtle Beach. This was located in King, North Carolina at dinner time. The hostess was pleasant and we received it quickly. Regulars were in out consistently. The owner has a great sense of humor and choked with us during the entire meal. Along with all of the other guests. His name is Ping. My suggestion would be when he asked you how much heat you want on a scale of one to four, please say four. I said two and it was smoking. ABSOLUTELY love this place! I live in Winston, but my favorite Thai place is in King! I always make an effort to stop here when I'm in this area. My go-to order is their Papaya Salad (Laos style because it's the best way to have it!) and their Pad Woon Sen! Honestly, anything you get here is super delicious! In the winter, I enjoy a big bowl of their Rare Steak Pho! Their staff and service is always top-notch. The owner, Ping, is always super friendly. My wife and I came here for lunch on a Sunday, and when we arrived around 11:30am, it was not too busy yet. I ordered the Panang Curry with beef, medium level of spicy. It came with bell peppers, carrots, green beans, and broccoli as well as 2 spring rolls and a side salad. The flavors were excellent, the spice level just right for medium, and the portion size was generous and sufficient for lunch. My wife ordered the Pad Eggplant with chicken, and with no spicy level - she asked for it over rice noodles, which they generously accommodated. Her dish was stir-fried eggplants, bell peppers, carrots, onions, mushrooms, and basil over rice noodles. It also came with 2 spring rolls and a side salad. The flavors were all nice - perhaps just a tad on the sweet side for my liking, but my wife liked her dish. The service was very friendly, very helpful, and very prompt. Ok...my life is complete everyone, I ...wait for it..found my go to Thai restaurant!! Wahooooooo. Some good friends recommended it and I can't thank them enough (you know who you are). My chicken Panang Curry was on the light coconut side, I'm used to a more deep brown color back in California, but wow, it was delicious, you can even split it with two people. My son's beef pad see-ew was very good, I would order it myself next time, and my husband's chicken pad Thai was traditional and tasty, just perfect. Coming from NYC, finding the same level of Asian standard have been hard down here. This one is probably the best Thai food in NC so far after 7 attempts in this state. Overall, the dishes leaned salty like many Asian food in the south but they are willing to adjust less salt if you tell them. Service: amazing and adorable. The uncles there reminded me of Louis Huang from Fresh off the Boat Stir fry: Their beef basil and pad see ew were good. The drunken noodles tasted more like your homemade tomato ketchup egg, good but not drunken noodle. Soup: Tom yum is good, a bit too salty Pho: good broth and the beef were well cooked. Recently, we stopped at Amazing Thailand for dinner before visiting our grandparents. We found this restaurant on Yelp, and since our grandparents aren't big on Thai food, we decided to try it on our own- and we weren't disappointed. Amazing Thailand was open and packed on a Sunday night. It doesn't look like much from the outside, as it's in a shopping center just off the interstate, but looks are deceiving. We started off with an order of fresh rolls, which hit the spot after a long day of driving. For my entrée, I had the Prik Prow with Tofu, no mushrooms, and medium heat. I've never seen this dish on other Thai menus, so I was excited to try it. It was amazing, with just the right amount of heat. It came with rice, but I didn't eat very much of it, as I wanted to enjoy the flavors of the fresh veggies and sauce/broth. My husband had the red curry with chicken, which is his go-to at every Thai restaurant. Since he orders this often, he can compare it to other places, and he really enjoyed Amazing Thai's version. His dinner portion was large enough for leftovers, and the prices were a few bucks cheaper than they are back home in Charleston. That's a win-win in our book. The manager came out to speak to us during our meal, which was a nice touch. The restaurant was pretty slammed, but I'm sure we could have talked to the manager for a long time if they weren't so busy. Amazing Thailand was one of our favorite meals on our trip to see our grandparents and hike in North Carolina. The hospitality was great and the food was stellar, so we won't hesitate to visit again. the food was WONDERFUL. i had the panang curry (thai hot) and my boyfriend had the drunken noodles. the vegetables in my curry were perfectly cooked, not mushy nor too crunchy to be raw. the shrimp was a little chewy, but it had a great flavor. my man had absolutely no complaints about his dish, and with the small bite that i had, i wasn't complaining either. our server was an older man (i'm guessing the owner) and he was the sweetest, going as far as joking with me about how spicy i like my food. my boyfriend is a chronic guzzler of sweet tea, yet he NEVER went more than a minute or two without a refill. overall, we will definitely be returning. the food is TOO GOOD to stay away! read more

Although I eat here all the time and love pho this might be the first time I've had their pho! It was really delicious, not the best I've had, but very solid. The broth wasn't a nuanced in flavors as I like but it was still very good. Plus it isn't as if pho is their specialty, they are a Thai restaurant! The pho came with the usual sides including cilantro and basil and a pile of mung beans! We ordered it off of the lunch menu so we also got a salad with peanut dressing and two spring rolls all for about $14! What a deal! I also don't think I've ever ordered tea here and I absolutely loved their elephant teapots! Would recommend only getting one teapot at a time or remove the tea bad as the as the jasmine tea gets bitter if over steeped a bit. read more

King has some amazing hidden gems and this is another one!! I'm assuming the 2 guys that were walking around the restaurant was either the owners or management... or even both! Either way if you were having a bad day they were determined to make you laugh. We have ordered takeout one other time from here, and the food was delicious! BUT I recommend going in just to get a smile on your face from one of those two guys. The food was fresh and flavorful. Everyone at our table loved our meals. The only thing is; my wife asked for "Thai Hot" and I honestly think they were scared to put it on her food in fear she would make a complaint lol, but she eats spices the normal stomach can't handle. I've gone to this restaurant for years and loved it, but the last time I ordered pick up, it was so bad that I couldn't even get my cats to eat the chicken. Frankly, it was old. I ordered my usual, the pineapple fried rice with chicken, but as soon as I ate a piece of chicken, I spat it out immediately. My partner has a less discriminating palate so I asked him to try it and he did the same thing...and my cats refused to even try it, just gave us a bad look as if to say, "Really??" When I say old, I don't mean like hours under a heat lamp--which isn't acceptable, either--I mean *days* old. And really, so was the rest of the dish--the rice, the veggies, all of it. I didn't want to completely waste my dinner, so I picked out all the chicken, but the rice and even the pineapple were inedible. Sorry, but all it takes is one bout of salmonella to make you phobic of bad chicken for life. If the dish was simply bad, I wouldn't bother writing this review. I would chalk it up to an off day and come back another time. But to use chicken so old that we both immediately spat it out is inexcusable. That's not an off day; that is deliberately using food that isn't fit for consumption. And that's a shame, because it was great having a Thai restaurant (relatively) nearby. But I guess we will be driving to Winston-Salem for Thai in the future, where you get you dishes cooked to order...as it always should be. read more

OMG This was the worst Thai or even just food I have ever had. I said no meat please, shrimp was in my food. The whole meal tasted like fish and smelled like fish. It was a noodle dish that was completely dry! No sauce of any kind was cooked into this meal!!! It was supposed to have mixed vegetables but only had 2 small pieces of broccoli.
