I am a huge fan and have been since prior to their expansion into the U.S. market. As a student, I had access to materials for furniture and decor from all over the world. And of course, when I was just starting out with my first apartment, everything was IKEA from top to bottom. All of the stores pretty much have the same setup (there may be one or two small differences). What it boils down to for me is the availability of items, i.e., do they have what I want in stock? These days, I am more of an accessories shopper or having lunch at the cafe, and stocking up on those sweet, sweet Swedish goodies. This location has everything I need and want anytime I swing by. The value and pricing IKEA has always been known for are still there, though they too have seen increases over the years. And even though it is a self-service concept, employees are always available to assist and are happy to do so. IKEA & this location get an A+ from me.

Instantly ready to share previous customers we could reach out to for references. A really good balance between sharing his ideas for our project, but also really listening to our feedback on what we wanted/invisoned. All the right insights for how to keep us in budget, and very generous with (we can add this/that for little/no extra costs since we're already doing XYZ). We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. We got a few quotes and would have felt confident moving forward with any of them when the time came, but the quality of their portfolio and Avi's attentive listening definitely put Teamwork Home Designs at the top of the list. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation. This project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, and I would not choose to work with this company again.

He started 2 weeks late and only did bits and pieces off and on for almost two weeks. The last day everything was installed but poorly, crooked doors etc. Jason would not return calls or texts for weeks until we refused to pay the final payment. then we finally got a text. we then learned the business was closing and they knew that when they took our money. It was his intention to get our money and burn us. every door and drawer front is a different color, and most are scratched The hood that was supposed to be custom was poorly done and so heavily stained it looks muddy. Every time it was touched it damaged the finish. The only remedy would have been to completely start over but we were not given that option plus we could never trust this guy again.

While I had a basic idea of what I wanted, I debated getting a formal project manager to handle coordination of the full install. With a ton of experience doing this kind of install, Marcus helped out so much that I was pretty much able to handle coordination of the main pieces and personnel without needing to hire anyone else. He did a great job making the vision come alive and was transparent with any problems that arises (and importantly fixing them when necessary). He was friendly, fair with pricing, and also very quick-- framing and installation took only 2 separate, spread out days (to allow for drywalling and parts arrival in between). My personal experience with him in terms of communication was excellent, but I also purposefully avoided peak summer season so as not to catch him at a busy time. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

He had a friendly personality, arrived on time and did most of the work in the rain. When I was putting my items in the finished shed, I noticed extra pieces amongst the paper trash. They turned out to be connectors that should have been installed. In addition the doors wouldn't close properly. I contacted Alfredo and he came out to install the connectors and fix the doors. Later I realized that he had inserted a folded piece of cardboard under a corner of the shed to level it so the doors would close. He did not mention this to me or make any arrangements to fix the leveling issue that I had paid him for. He was defensive when I contacted him about it, but finally agreed to come out and fix it if I emptied out the shed. I knew that this would take some time to arrange as I am a senior citizen, so I told him that I would reach out when I was able to make arrangements with to empty and cover my storage items. When I notified him, he didn't respond for several days until I asked him if he was ghosting me. At that point he said that he was too busy and would "try" to fit me into his schedule when he had time. I finally had enough and said that it was almost 2 months since the project was supposed to be completed and I needed him to make time to fix it right away. He stopped communicating with me. Now I will need to hire someone else to properly level my shed, which will not only cost me more, it will take away the use of the shed as it is being repaired. Because this is outside the 30 days of the Yelp guarantee because of the reoccurring issues, I will be out of pocket. I recommend that you do not hire this person.

I do not like to stack negative reviews on companies and my father already posted a review, but their actions were not just directed at my father and he left some items out. 1). The install crew broke a water pipe, text us a picture that it was broken, only to have the owner deny that his company broke it in the first place. 2). My dad (Dwayne Allen - he left a google review), who originally recommended them to me wrote a review with his issues. They responded by saying it was on him and he got a "huge discount". This was not a huge discount, they believed the square footage to be almost double what they actually did, but took no notes and had no records. The field worker called and had to ask my father after they submitted an invoice what the size was to calculate the square footage. This invoice did not provide a discount to fix the water pipe either, and Pablo and his crew never offered to get it fixed. Leaving me to do it. 3). Then someone from this company (I believe Pablo) went onto my companies Facebook page and wrote a retaliation review (my company was not even involved in this transaction and most of the information was so inflammatory that it violated Facebooks policy and was removed). I see that they have good reviews and had they handled the situation differently, I may have seen these few items as a mistake, and used them in the future. However, their actions have shown me they are not a good business and I will never use them or recommend them. I will not use them and do not recommend them!

Boxes were inspected and damaged items came from the warehouse. The warehouse just taped up the boxes and sent them out anyway with damaged product. To top that all off the Pflugerville office would only refund a complete box and not the individual planks (yes, the charged me for damaged product) As far as Cody Dorris, seemed like he would say (lie) anything to make the sale. Also, the order was not delivered 100% 18 days later still no answer form the warehouse as to the remaining order, nor will they refund the for the late product. NOTE make sure you order what you need and not over order, they do not refund the returns. This is not my go-to store, I found better service and product elsewhere.

Horrible experience. The company has taken my money, run off with it, left horrible work and refused to return deposit money for work not even started. Original deal was started in mid/late October with due date of 12/1. Date pushed, not even close. Constant no-shows, excuses for why work was not being done. Attempted to negotiate finishing the work. Had an agreement reached, but Jorge changed the terms after the fact and abandoned all the agreed upon repairs and finishing anything. Examples of poor workmanship below. Hired for: Granite Counter-tops (Kitchen sink area cracked, has not done final fill/polish, short-cut upstairs counter leaving large (3/4") gaps to wall, I paid $1200 for a 4th slab for fireplace surround - slab was not bought, work not started, they have refused to refund money. They have been paid in full for this) Home Painting (Interior/Exterior) (Water based enamel used over oil based, so it didn't stick. You can scrape off the paint on all baseboards/doors with fingernail. Quotes to fix are 7K+ due to the need to sand/strip ALL baseboards/trim/doors and then repaint/re-edge. They have been paid in full for this) Shower Remodel (x 3) (Two showers OK - but finish not complete (texturing/trim painting). One shower has no final finished base to install the glass door on. Deposit money for glass door is not being returned. Faucet handle mounted pointed down and tiled in - will have to repair from behind by tearing up closet wall. They have been paid in full for this) All tile floors - Also paid in full (Followed recommendations to use "recitified ceramic tile" and minimal grout thickness. Jorge described this as leaving almost no visible grout lines. That would have been OK, but the leveling of the tiles is marginal, in come cases very poor. Speaking to other installers, he should have used a leveling compound to even it out. I watched him lay it - he did not use a leveling compound.) Kitchen Backsplash - paid in full (Horrible - drywall around is completely jacked up, bad texturing. Finish trim poorly cut. On the left of the sink there is a trim border, on the right there is not - two different approaches for the same visual surface.) Shower glass door install (The one shower that's actually complete - the hinge screws were placed in the wrong position, resulting in the need to make another set. Jorge filled in the holes with silicon, but ruined the aesthetic of the clean tile. 2nd glass door - which I've paid a $900 deposit for - is not installable because he never finished the shower.) Exterior Painting/wood repair (50% paid + lift rental, no work done) (I paid a $1400 deposit + $300 for a "lift rental" which Jorge added after the contract was signed because he said he "didn't realize how tall it was" even though he quoted the house in person. He power-washed the outside, ruined the screens, and has done no additional work on the painting. He has refused to return the exterior deposit or lift rental. Keep in mind it has been nearly 6 months since the deposit was given.) Fireplace Surround (Paid $1200 toward granite - he has not purchased the stone or refunded the money) (Originally was to be part of the quoted granite cost. Jorge assured me 3 slabs would be enough for the entire job. He later said he needed a 4th, and it would be $1200. I paid him that check. He later said that slab was not good enough and the vendor wanted to charge $3000 for another. I talked to the slab vendor and they said they would give me the original price. Jorge never got the slab. He came back and demanded 800 for labor.) Tree/Brush Removal (paid in full - work partially complete) (As Jorge started the exterior work, he said trees/shrubs were in the way. He said he had a "tree guy" that would come clear it, but he needed the job to be big enough. He said it would be $700, which would include remove some trees close to the house, and grinding stumps down to the ground. They removed the trees, but never handled the 6 stumps. He did not use tree guys - he used general laborers which he said he paid $125/day each) Upstairs Bath Remodel (Paid in full) - Moved two doors - Move light fixture/electrical to new vanity - Install cabinets in two bathrooms (Bathroom door moved but opens into the newly installed vanity as it opens the wrong way. Didn't move the electrical outlets. Light moved but he didn't install the correct lightbox so there's nothing to mount a fixture on. Wall texture is a complete disaster. Mismatched trim on the outside of the room. Installed cabinet bases but didn't install doors/drawer faces or hardware.) read more

Recently we underwent the daunting task of major renovation of our master bath. We hired a contractor but was not able to locate anyone that were resonable to build the vanity and complete the granite which was part of the plans. Not wanting to delay the project we began our research being very meticulous whom we wanted to work with since our home was a custom built home to our specifications several years ago. The first company we contact was ATX Granite we were very impressed with Mr. George Lyles and decided not to look any further. This is not our normal process we normally interview several companies before making a decision however, with George we just felt comfortable with him and the photos on his website. George immediately scheduled an appointment to visit my home to obtain the measurements, he offered additional suggestions afterwards he was not trying to make a sell we were pleased with the suggestion such as rasing the level of the vanity and how we could save in areas by the way he planned to design the vanity and the linen closet. He referred us to a local Granite dealer to select the particular piece of granite we wanted. He picked up the granite the next day and immediately begin working on the project. We selected a piece of grantie and had sufficient enough left over on the bath room project to replace the vanity in a second bathroom as well as the counter top in the laundry room. George only charged us a small cost for the additional work. The project was completed in eight working days. We were pleased with the workmanship, the quality of the work and timeliness in completing the project. The facuets that I ordered off of Amazon did not work George took the time to accompany us to Home Depot to select the right facuets. He was very patience as we went through the various facuets to make a selection afterwards he returned to the house and finished the required plumbing. We are still amazed of the craftsmanship. since 4 years ago I bought my house was trying to remodel my kitchen because it looked very small and little functional and old something that made my house look ugly because it is part of my room and is the first view when I open the door of my house, ,,,,,, take the information of this company and we met several times to specify the design of the cabinets colors of the countertops etc after deciding everything that I appreciate them a lot because they were very patient with me they helped me in each step and always They gave me many ideas including ideas that did not favor them because it was more work and they never charged me more for the additions, we proceeded with the demolition of my kitchen and then installed the cabinets, granite, etc. I am all beautiful here I leave photos of as my kitchen looked before and after are also professionals some real artists ,,,, thanks Jorge & Team. read more

So far 6 months later, he has 100% of the money and not done ANYTHING in the house. He delivered us shell cabinets, NO DOORS, NO DRAWERS, NO HINGES, NO TRIM. STILL MISSING TWO MORE CABINETS. He uses cheap quality wood from China but says he uses all US wood. This guy is about to lose his license and insurance if he keeps messing with me. I was very satisfied with the work done by this company in the beginning I hired them to remodel my kitchen and after finishing with my kitchen I recontracted them to make showers of granite and fireplace they do spectacular works with very good finishing I finished remodeling my whole house with this equipment they have very good prices and a high quality work they are very helpful they help even with work that does not correspond to them. I loved this guy so much, I insisted my fabricator use their quartz as well to finish out my new home build. Quartz is pretty much the same from manufacturer to manufacturer (imho)- but Midwest had everything I needed. I was happy to make sure Midwest got my business. I also felt like their pricing was very fair and reasonable. On our original visit to Midwest, we were lucky enough to have Christy Smeltzer assist us. We replaced the quartz in our kitchen after a terrible install last year by a another company. Jess helped us find a beautiful quartzite stone. She was very patient with us, visiting various showrooms until we found what we wanted. Then Steve came out and measured our kitchen. He had great suggestions about the edges and radius of the corners matching the fluted corners of our cabinets. He took a lot of time to get all of the measurements correct. Our kitchen has tricky angles and they were able to do the whole kitchen with only 2 seams. It is a large kitchen and we used a total of 3 slabs (77" X 130"). They allowed us to look at the layout on the computer and match the veining. One slab had to be horizontal and it was matched with a vertical section, but the matching is so good, you can't tell that the slabs are different directions. We are so thrilled with the quality of Toor's work that we are now having them redo our bathrooms and utility room quartz that was just installed last year.

For some unknown, obscure reason, our builders installed limestone counters in our kitchen and…read moremaster bathroom. Initially, they were quite appealing. They were very pretty, but over time, they quickly proved to be a poor, poor choice for a high-traffic, high-usage area. The counters were easily stained and scratched. I was always afraid of spilling liquids onto the counter, so I was constantly wiping and cleaning them. I detested our kitchen counters. And our master bathroom was in even worse shape than our kitchen. So, after much discussion and a little research, the guy and I decided to replace the counters with quartz. Making the decision was the easy part. Finding someone to handle the project, from start to finish, was another. We went to the typical big box stores, Home Depot and Lowe's, but weren't sold on their services. We went to UB Kitchens, but had a perplexing experience there. Then after a bit of research, I found Austin Custom Tops on Yelp. I called Shaun, who was extremely responsive and professional. He came out within a few days of my call to show us samples, measure our kitchen, and give us a quote. I have a hard time trusting contractors. We've had some mediocre and shoddy work done over the years. However, after meeting Shaun, I could tell that he was someone who really cares about his business and the quality of work that his company delivers. In the end, we decided to go with Silestone counters and have Shaun's team install them. His quote was actually a few hundred dollars less than the other quotes we received, and he'd handle the entire project for us (i.e., order the materials, cut/install, disconnect/reconnect appliances, etc). His team was professional and friendly, and they did a really great job installing our counters and backsplash. The turnaround on the project was ridiculous: they had our counters and backsplash installed within 2 weeks of placing our order. We are ecstatic with the results and can't stop admiring our new kitchen and bathroom.
