I came here to meet a friend for lunch/breakfast. If you come here at peak times, parking can be a bit problematic and if you're not a whiz when parallel parking...you may have to circle the block a few times. The exterior is clean and simple. When you walk in, it's clean, simple, and a bit Chip and Joanna-esque, which I love. I was quickly greeted and told I could sit anywhere. I was given a menu and their drink menu. After being off coffee for a week, I saw that they make their own coffee syrups, so I got an iced decaf almond milk latte with their salted caramel syrup. While I waited, I looked over the menu. I really wanted to try the french toast or the waffle, but opted for the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant and cup of their cheese grits. The latte came out quickly and tasted exquisite. Sometimes you get decaf and it tastes watery, but not this latte. My friend ordered a salad with grilled chicken on top. Everythign came out quickly. The first thing I noticed were the cheese grits. They were delicious. Rich, creamy, and flavorful. Get them. The bacon egg and cheese on a croissant was also really good. They sell coffee at their shop to bring home. read more

After a visit to Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka, my wife and I decided to head out to The Magnolia for lunch after my wife researched it. It was just after noon on a Friday when we arrived and there was a 10-minute wait for a table. Upon being seated, we were presented the menu. We both considered ordering the Reuben Sandwich but I opted instead for the Club Sandwich on Ciabatta (as recommended by our server) and a side of Seafood Chowder. We both just ordered water with a slice of lemon to drink. Our server eventually came back with my wife's Reuben sandwich served with a bag of chips and she also had my cup of chowder, commenting how the club sandwich will be served shortly. My wife liked her Reuben, with tender meat and sharp sauerkraut. She also liked how the rye bread held up to the strong flavors. My chowder was equally good but it wasn't served with crackers. We waited a while for our server to return so I could ask for some crackers but she went ghost on us. Finally, more than 10 minutes after my wife was served her sandwich, a gentleman, who we can only assume was the manager, came over to ask if I've been served my club sandwich. Of course I pointed to a clean table to indicate no sighting of my sandwich and I also asked for some crackers. A few minutes later, the same man came back with some crackers and apologized for a mix up in the back. That's when I told them to forget the club sandwich so we can be on our way. To the manager's credit, he had the club sandwich boxed up and gave it to me free of charge. He was very apologetic. I was still a bit miffed and thought about leaving the sandwich there but my wife convinced me otherwise. Needless to say, service wasn't at the forefront during that dining experience. Despite the service mix up, however, I was still inclined to give this place 4 stars for the taste and quality of the food. The staff can have some inconsistencies and I tend to believe that's not the norm for this establishment which has earned high marks on Yelp. read more

We came in during a wedding weekend with no idea what to order, and the staff went above and beyond to help us find the perfect coffee for each of us. The customer service was genuinely some of the best I've ever experienced -- everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. They even made special accommodations for us that weren't on the menu just to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. You can tell they truly care about their customers and creating a great experience. 1000% recommend this place if you're in the area! Stopped to pick up a few sandwiches for the road on the way back to Tampa post hurricane Milton. Super friendly staff, charming ambience, cool store next door called The Urban Farmhouse. Wish we could've eaten there but we had our puppies with us. My husband and I shared the 705 which is blackened chicken wrap with cucumber and hummus and the curry chicken croissant. The Magnolia is such a gem! First off, its location in downtown Palatka is perfection! The area has a wonderful state park, gorgeous murals, and fun shops. The decor of the Magnolia screams souther charm! However their food is the true show stopper! Every is fresh and delicious! Flavor combos are perfection! The iced chai latte is beyond amazing. My favorite menu item is the avocado toast, but the pimento BLT is amazing along with the Magnolia Benedict! I do not think you can go wrong with ordering anything on the menu. We stopped here on our way down to south Florida. The restaurant was quite busy and they seemed well staffed but the service was horrible. It took a long time to get our food as well. They aren't kidding when the restaurant states on their menu that their prices are high. Very high for what you get. My son got a hamburger and pasta salad. Decent portion of salad but the burger was nothing out of the ordinary and his meal was $24! I ordered ala carte eggs and sausage. Four of us and the bill was over $80 for breakfast/lunch. read more

Hubby ordered the Ruben and a side of home fries. He said both were good. Best description I could give is the cooks allow the fresh ingredients to provide the flavors. My girlfriend and I ordered the pimento cheese to start and it was amazing. We also ordered the 2 Egg breakfast and the French toast. Everything was delicious and I would happily drive here from Jacksonville if I really wanted some good breakfast/brunch. If The Magnolia was located in St. Petersburg, Tampa, or Orlando, it wouldn't surprise me if there was an hour wait time, and we sat down right away on a Sunday morning.
