Majestic 7 is a great addition to the area! No more needing to drive to Framingham or Burlington for a movie. Yes, there's the Chestnut Hill Superlux but not every movie needs to be a superlux experience. Majestic 7 has a ton of parking since it's part of Arsenal Yards, and every time I've gone, there's friendly staff working the concessions as well as scanning tickets. They've got the comfy seats, plenty of concessions to choose from, the theater is always clean, and the volume and quality of movie has always been just right. Also, on Tuesdays, tickets are $7. Majestic 7 is now our regular go to for movies ever since Regal Fenway closed a few years back. It's nice because the mall here has many good food options too so you can combine dinner and a movie very easily. This time we saw Zootopia 2 which we enjoyed. The seats are very comfortable reclining - so comfy that sometimes I doze off as it's dark and warm in the movies lol!! Getting here is easy on storrow drive and soldiers field road. Parking is easy too either in the garage or outside right near the theater too. Overall a good experience! read more

The theater itself is nice with recliner seats. However they outrageously charge a $3 service charge on top of the ticket price for tickets purchased at the theater. No wonder the theater was so dead on a Friday night. It was $100 for two kids and two adults. AVOID! read more

Great to have a local movie theater with reserved comfy seats. The movie experience is fantastic. Plenty of free covered garage parking. The only drawback is the concessions area. There are usually 2 employees working that are very outnumbered by theater goers. Go early if you want food or beverage because the concession line is long and slow. Love that Arsenal Yards has its own movie theater (free parking). There are restaurants and shops in the yards which you can visit before/after the movie to make for a nice outing. It's a little pricey--$16 for an adult ticket and around $20 for both a small popcorn and a small soda. They also have a bar and hot food items (nachos, mozzarella sticks, etc.) but we didn't order either. The bar seemed to feature signature drinks for different movies which was cool. Seats are very comfortable--they are leather recliners. We were in the second row up front and was able to lean far enough back to have a comfortable view. Don't see a movie here!!! The projectionists can't even set up the films to play properly!!! I paid a "premium" price for the "CWX" experience and not only was the SCREEN TINY, but it seemed SOOO QUIET that I was pretty much sitting there seething with rage at how disrespectful this was to the filmmakers. For some reason, I didn't want to get up and leave my group, so after it was over, I decided to mention it to a staff member (since I know that different movies have different sound settings) and she goes "Oh, whoops, were you in Theater 7? yeah sorry we forgot to adjust the sound for that one." EXCUSE ME?! You straight up just didn't do your job?! This was an outing with friends to see a blockbuster movie -- babysitters were hired -- and it was ruined by their incompetence. They said they wouldn't give a refund either. In addition, the view of the screen is partially obstructed by these insane lounge chairs, and the concession area is under-staffed. I managed to walk bye the theater as I was walking around looking for something to eat. The Northerman caught my attention so I walked in and purchased a $15 ticket then left to get dinner. When I came back I was not really sure where to go. No real signage and or direction but I found my way in. The theater itself is nice. Did not visit the concession stand as I ate an entire small pizza from Pepe's Pizza and was in a coma in the reclining chair. I read some of the reviews and seen someone talking about the screen and sound. I thought the start of the movie I spent more time trying to figure it out than actually watch the movie. It blended in after I stopped thinking about it. So I guess? *Note- the movie starts at the posted time, which I actually love. As for the staffing I really didn't see any other than young lady behind the counter and the two staff people taking tickets. I felt the young lady at the ticket booth was rude. Did not have a positive attitude and did not have a good sense with interacting with her customers. Employee should know they are the first person the customer interacts with and making a good first impression will keep customers coming back. For the traveler staying in the area for a short time the theater is nice place to be entertained and chew up some time. read more

I love this local cinema. They always have the big blockbusters. I've seen animation movies here, a horror movie around Halloween, Barbenheimer, and more. Comfy reclining arm chairs (that you reserve in advance), and all the standard concessions. Large popcorn and soda are re-fillable. Tuesdays are discount tickets and concessions. Just had the worst movie experience in my life: a liar and a rude staff at this Watertown theater. My son and wife came here regularly to watch movies. Tonight we chose The Bad Guys 2 and had a good time until this moment - a 50 year old lady behind us came to ask my wife to turn off her phone and she was very rude. Until this point my wife didn't make any phone call and just replied to an urgent work message. Both argued a few and then that lady went to a staff (manager?) and a men asked us to leave- apparently she told the manager that my wife has been on a call and won't stop. LIAR!! When we asked the manager to listen what happened, the staff/manager refused to listen, said FUCK in front of my son and just called the policy. When several policy officers came, the lady and her son already left. That was it - no truth, no apology, the staff/manager didn't EVEN CARE what happened and of course refused to refund our tickets. Will never never return this place ever again. After checking the reviews here, several folks mentioned the rude staff in this theater and THOSE CUSTOMERS WILL NEVER RETURN, JUST LIKE US! I love this movie theater. . . it's our go-to now, and it's nice we don't have to drive all the way to Burlington or Framingham anymore. I like Tuesdays for $7. . . great bargain. I think I should start going to movies by myself there (note to self) on Tuesdays. The cinema is incredibly clean - not sticky. The seats are comfortable, the theaters are small-ish, so you can see well from anywhere, and it feels cozy. They make buying tickets online, checking in, getting refreshments really easy. The theater sits comfortably and is very spacious. I went to see Minions, and the tickets weren't to bad. The theater is clean, the AC level wasn't not to bad. Came here on a weekday morning for matinee price $13 movie, compared to others its a bit more expensive but the theater was clean and new and i enjoyed the seats so definitely was worth it. Given that it was weekday it wasn't hard to park and had no problem finding good seats. Its a relatively small theater with only about 4-6 screens and the concession stand is really big lol but I didn't give a chance of buying anything here so cannot comment on that. Overall its a good choice in the area but I would imagine it would get really crowded on weekends. I had a great time here. read more

This theatre is just okay, but it has a LOT of potential to be great. The seats are amazing and my favorite part about coming here. I also like that they have hot food as an option, though I've only eaten the food once and it was very mediocre. The popcorn and snacks are fine, on par with other movie theatres. One complaint is that they never seem to stock zero sugar sodas in the machines (despite being Freestyle machines, they are insanely limited and I've never had luck with any of the zero sugar options other than diet). Another downside is that you never know what you'll get with the volume here - it's usually either egregiously loud or way too low. I've never had any issues with customer service and the bathrooms were very clean when I've used them! So overall, I'll continue coming here but I do wish they would make some changes to make the experience better. The space and amenities are good but have SO much potential to be amazing. read more

This is a great theatre, not sure why some reviews are so low. First off it is brand new and absolutely spotless. They take great care for cleanliness. It is also empty. This means no lines for snacks, nobody sitting next to you, and plenty of time to get settled for your movie. Gone are the days of waiting 20 mins for popcorn and dealing with folks to your left and right. The theaters are brand new. They have the big, comfy recline-able chairs. It's located in Aresenal Yards so it's a perfect one-stop-shop for dinner and a movie :) read more

Well 3 females were at the counter, they don't do anything but give you popcorn but then a cup to go fill yourself for drinks, then they just stand there playing with their phones. I've been to this theater a number of times, and now that I live in Allston it's the closest movie theater in town. The pricing is regular and it's welcome to have a movie theater so close by surrounded by some decent restaurants and grocery etc. Too bad it's poorly run, and they don't care about customer service or the theater-going experience. The place is under-staffed and generally under-served. Just saw a movie there and they had the theater lights on for over half the film. Nobody was at the concession stand, and there were no ticket takers. The latter I don't care too much about but what movie isn't made better with overpriced popcorn and soda? I had money to spend and they had nobody to take it. After the movie, a couple tried to speak to a manager. He just shrugged them off apologetically and did nothing. He wasn't even around earlier to help solve problems so it was just noise to him. I can't blame the minimum wage workers - there weren't enough of them and tbh I'm not sure how much training they have. It's not their fault. I would blame the management, but they're not even around either. Ultimately, the place doesn't even try to be better. If you must see a movie, this place is hit or miss. Often a miss. If you can go somewhere else, I'd recommend it but take your chances if you have to go here. If it was a budget priced movie theater I may not be as critical - but it's not. And for how much it costs these days to go out, it's pretty inexcusable. read more

This was my worst experience at a cinema I have ever had. I went to watch the Bob Marley One Love movie and I experienced most horrible customer service experience the manager Jessica at the bar and Matt at the food pick up (who stated that know Jessica worked There) An Asian employee name E ( that's what the employee said their name is) was great but Jessica the manager and Matt both (Caucasia) was extremely discriminatory against me and African american with dreads. I want to love this theater, I really do. From the first mention a couple years ago when they announced opening a theater right down the street from my home. I was excited to have a local venue to support. I've now been to this theater a few times and it's a far cry from a professionally run establishment. But let's start with the good things. First off, it's new. Still has the new car smell and this place has yet to be fully broken in. Everything is still shiny and clean. Since we're still in the middle of Covid, you can easily visualize what the Majestic 7 could be once we get back to normal, especially with the on site bar. The concessions offerings are good, although it's a Pepsi venue. If you you're a Coke products person, it's a bit of a bummer but totally fine. The theaters themselves are nice. Super comfy seats and the the sound is good. What hasn't been great is just the overall management of the venue. While the concessions stand has decent offerings, it's usually a chaotic affair. One register and one person filling bags of popcorn. Which means if you're a family of 4 or more, plan to wait a bit for your stuff and checkout. And if you're behind a family, expect to wait even longer. Also, there is no organization, you have no idea what you're supposed to do or where to go. No direction in terms of where to form a line. It's a messy situation. Why not just put up some rope and stanchions? Simple fix. It's also dirty. Always popcorn on the floor and under the seats. And the chairs have been sticky. I thought they're supposed to wipe and sanitize before each show? Don't think that happens at all, as only one young teenage girl came in with a small broom, ready to start cleaning the theater at the end of The Eternals show I was at. They didn't show any previews. Weird. Maybe it's because they screwed up and started the film 15 minutes before it was supposed to?! When they caught the error, they stopped the film 7 minutes in, but didn't turn the lights back up. Now it's a pitch black theater and people still coming in trying to find their seats in the blackness. It was a mess and people seemed pissed. And I was wondering what the heck just happened, Lastly, this place seems super understaffed. Not sure if it's the staffing shortage, but there wasn't even anyone collecting tickets before you entered the theater area. I watched two entire families (over 10 people) walk up and look confused and then just walked in. When I approached, I saw a young woman that looked like she worked there walking towards the check-in area so i waited. She ripped my ticket and then walked away again leaving the area unattended again. That all said, I want to his place to survive and get it together. But if they keep this up, I'm not coming back, which is such a disappointment. I'm sorry Majestic, but I'm probably headed back to AMC. read more

Love this theater! The staff is incredible! We decided to see a movie one afternoon and the A/C wasn't working in the theater. It was stifling in there and very uncomfortable to watch the movie. However, the manager David was so wonderful that he gave us free passes to come back and enjoy another movie once the A/C was fixed. I little kindness goes a long way!
